I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS M020-CPS26Is it possible to get the active config spec of a part structure in a data utility ? I would like the data utility to display a value based on if a link to a parent part exists and need to filter the parents by type and variation2.

Is it possible to disable the OOTB Change Request type while creating the Change Request? I was able to get our custom CR type populate as a default, but I'm looking to disable this OOTB.

We have thousands of parts in our system that pre-date our ability to create viewables. Is there a way to select all files in a folder and generate a thumbnail viewable instead of manually clicking the thumbnail window?   

As per the original post.    Has anyone ever found a solution to this problem? It will happen at random times to me as well.  There are no other users involved, just me checking out, making changes, checking back in.  Then when I go to check out the drawing again (typically it has stayed in the workspace), the changes have reverted back.  Often just some of the changes disappear, sometimes all of them.  Maybe I am not using Save, Save and Upload, Upload, etc in the correct way? Or, do I need to empty the workspace every time after I do a check-in? 

Hello,Using Jaspersoft studio 6.20.5 I cannot see any of my custom attributes inside of the Jasper studio when I add a field or parameter,  How do I make the relation between the studio template and Windchill 12.0.2 attributes.  I am able to hook up my PC with Jasper studio and connect Windchill to see the preview of an ECN using the OOTB Jasper template, it works fine. I just cannot see any custom attributes to add to fields or parameters when I edit the template.Any input would be appreciated, PTC supports stops at the point where you establish connection and Jasper community has virtually no one with Windchill expertise.  I am hoping someone here has gained some expertise to share within this community.PTC is apparently going to add some training material in October, i can't wait that long.Thanks in advance.

When we fetching all levels of cad structure using getStructure API, it took 10 mins to fetch 10,000 documents. How to speed up the service execution time instead of increasing the execution time in backend!!!

Greetings,Little puzzled how users in a role (team members) have Reassign View on the wtPart when they don't seem to have been granted Modify Identity in ACL?I don't see Modify Identity on the wtObject either. Any suggestions on how the team member could have access to that action. I have checked ACL at context, Org and Site on wtObject and wtPart (including sub-types). I used a generic role but also check Team Members   

I want a new part instance to follow our standard versioning scheme, but it appears to be a different scheme (starts at Rev A). How is versioning controlled on part instances? I can't seem to find any information on this subject or a PTC support article.

We had an issue prior to this that we believe caused this issue. That issue seems to have been resolved.The names of the files in question are hs_err_pidxxxxx

I've been tracking a vexing issue for a few weeks now. I would get a note from the users that they are not seeing emails, publishing has stopped or workflows are not working. Quick check on System monitor shows red lights on BGMS: Threshold of average active method contexts exceeded; average active contexts: 135.0001  It appears as if no queue jobs are transacting. This will persist until I whack the BGMS process and it auto-restarts. Queue jobs start processing normally and there is an email flood. What is strange is this often occurs at night or weekends. I am checking with IT to make sure this is not an external job that is running. I would think if it was DB related, it would settle back down once issue is resolved. I am still investigating issues on that front. I am using Windchill MPMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.7Filter does not exclude other manufacturing objects. We use plant-specific alternate BOMs and filter based on BOM number (i.e., 001, 002, etc.). Currently, filter does not work as-expected for a specific use case where the parent design object does not have a manufacturing part equivalent. Under the parent object structure when the filter is applied, all alternate BOM parts appear.

This data is required for Data migration from Windchill.what is the best way to extract Creo CAD data from Windchill PDMLink so that the CAD files will hold all the relationship between other CAD files.is there any standard tool available to do this CAD data extraction?As the physical files have encrypted names in the Windchill Vault, there will be any impact if we copy the files from vault and use it for data migration ?We do have sql queries to link the EPMDocument numbers - CAD filenames and filenames in the Vault.However please suggest what is the best way to extract CAD data so that the Data quality remains intact and not face any reference missing issues during data migration.

Hello Community, I am looking for a way to export and import a specific assembly from PROD to DEV server. With Import/Export management, I am stumbling upon some issues since there are some configuration difference between PROD and DEV. Is there any recommended way to perform such action ? Hello community! I am looking through the PTC | Windchill code right now and I am encountering a lot of if(RemoteMethodServer.ServerFlag) { run code } else { remoteMethodServer.invoke(...)} constructs. I am figuring this means something like "If the code is executed server-side then continue, otherwise invoke the method on the particular method server". But where would this code be executed, if not on the method server? Can anyone please give me a better / more technical explanation. Why is it important to use this construct and when should you use it? Thanks in advance and best regards
