I want to rename the status value 'Potential' to 'Pending'In Type & Attribute Management, the status of a WorkItem looks like a modeled attribute, and immutable. Is there a way to change these values?  

Has anyone been able to successfully include a custom JDNI adpater in rehost? There's a comment in the rehost.properties file:############################## Adapter Changes#############################   "administrative" is the default suffix for the AdministrativeLdap adapter#   "enterprise" is the default suffix for the EnterpriseLdap adapter#   Additional domains for other adapters can be added by specifying the adapter#      name as a suffix. Hi All,I am wondering if anyone who is using Plant Data and the view hierarchy which includes Design, Manufacturing, and <Plant> views understands how the new plant based filtering capabilities work?  In the structure filter, users are now able to use the Assigned Plant configuration specification and the Plant Filter.  I have poured over the WHC topic but I'm still not confident in how each one works and the use cases that are solved.  Does anyone have some insight? Thanks,Patrick Williams

 

Users should be able to create a ECN only if ECR is completed, i.e., when ECR is 'Open' state, I don't want users to be able to create an ECN. Is that possibility?

Hi all, I am building a custom rest service which takes 2 string parameters and returns some output. However, one of the string parameters is an encrypted string which contains special characters and has unknown length. I keep getting an error : (Key ' ' is invalid), parsing error. Now I'm wondering if there is a limitation with the approach I'm taking. If so, is there another way to accept encrypted strings?

I cannot see why not but let me know if anyone has used the WVS Scheduler Administrator for other administrative tasks other than publishing and WVS. I have a sync task were I need to connect to an outside database and compare data to objects in Windchill. Seems to be the perfect vehicle to create the jobs, schedule it and monitor its execution. Assuming other scheduler tasks are defined in a similar manner, is there a more recommended method of hooking them in or kicking them off?

Hello,I would like to add a new restriction to the attribute "NAME" of my CAD Document in term of string length.I was wondering if it will be applied to the existing data.Will the existing CAD document with a name longer than the limit will be truncated?Thanks for your help, Windchill 12.0.2.1

Hello, I have a simple issue. Assume I have a geometry in my part that uses a parameter from windchill, coming from WTPart to the CAD object. The Idea is to input this attribute during the actions configure (ie. Option filter is done as well as the parameter input in the second step using parameter at top level and child resolution given to the required child). The issue is that, the child receiving this parameter, since it needs the parameter in order to propagate from WTPart to the CAD object, that respective child needs to be configurable. However, if that node is configurable, then we cannot define Locators. Is there a way to maintain the Parameter appearing because of configurable module yes and have the locators for that node appear as well. Cheers.   

When number of files pending for sync increases we usually do SiteForceSync using jconsole.  What is alternative for jconsole to do siteForceSync? We want to explore any other method to achieve what siteForceSync does to system.

Hi PTC Community,I'm 6 months old to Windchill and wanted to work on Windchill Info*Engine Adapters. I have PTC Windchill doc for how to configure my WC info*engine adapter. But I don't have proper doc for JMS Core properties. I wanted to connect my WC Adapter to 3rd party application to retrieve the desired data (Example: Part Number, Status, Doc linked to part number etc.) from WC Database. I would be glad if anyone can guide me on how to configure WC adapter and connect to 3rd party. Thanks in Advance.      

Consider two  scenarios,1. A wtpart with number 0001, A.1 is used in 7 different product structures.By revising that wtpart to B.1 , will the new revision B.1 get updated in 7 different product structures as well?How to achieve this? 2. A 2D drawing with A.1 revision is referenced(associated) by 15 wtparts. by revising drawing to B.1, will this latest revision updated on its associated wtparts also?How to achieve this. Thanks in advance. 

My aim is to create a view, which does not display CAD Part Generic in the table.At the top of the table, the attribute name appears to be "Object Type Indicator".However, when I try to define a filter in Edit View, I can't find such an attribute as "Object Type Indicator" in the 'Criteria' list.In Windchill this kind off Filter in the Edit View is available or not? 

We have a custom scheduler running with Job - ABBWorkflowProcessJobMonitor. The scheduler is running every two minutes, but every time the job log shows - "Query returned null". Is there any way we can understand what kind of jobs are to be triggered by this particular scheduler..

I am able to create WTPart for required blocks in the AutoCAD drawing but I am trying to map their attributes to the WTPart structure created from these blocks but am unable to do it. Has anyone able to successfully map these blocks paramters to  WTPart attributes?

Hi, maybe a bit specific topic, but maybe someone else who looked at this article or has experienced issues could shed light on whether this is actually happening. The question is:   Is "Create Parts" available for users with "PTC EBOM management License" in 11.2 or not? After delete user from AD server and Windchill. clearing the cache of windchill. user is still showing in teams' roles of particular container. it is possible to remove the user from particular member roles when we completely remove user from windchill and Active Directory?
