I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS M020-CPS23How to see in WT-Part Structure Visualization which Reference Designator is assigned to which Occurence in 3D?When selecting a Part in visualization, I can't find any information which Reference Designator is assigned to it. Also when selecting any Occurence in the Occurence list, no object is being selected in the Visualization tab.

Looking for API to set multiValue Attribute in create page of Promotion Request. Values are taken from another MultiValued attribute. EG:  Product under which PR is getting created has attribute A with values A,B,C When I am creating Promotion request , attribute in PR should take values from that attribute of product (Multivalued and editable)  Help would be appriciated.Thanks 

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M030-CPS20Visualization Worker do not make 100% viewable file from Solidword 2D Drawing.I found A part of Solidword 2D Drawing is missing when I see the viewable file with Creo View, But 2D Drawing have the part that Creo View Adapter did not transfer to viewable.Here are the errors that I facedNo Error Message , Queue Manager say it have success to converse the Solidworks 2D to Creo View Viewable.

Inventor can include in his assemblies files created with other CAD tools (i.e.: SolidWorks) in two different ways, "Reference Model" or "Convert Model" (as well as Creo Parametric, Unite Technology, ways "Open" or "Import").We are noting that a "converted model" can be checked-in Windchill (not a surprise: with the conversion, the file becomes a native Inventor file), while a "referenced model" can not.The "Reference Model" way is essential for a prospect who decided to standardize/consolidate Inventor as unique CAD tool (SolidWorks is also currently in use) and is planning to manage the transition phase leveraging the Inventor's "Reference Model" capability, in order to reuse - as they are - the historical SolidWorks files.Is there a solution for that ?Many thanks in advance.

1) Can we trigger or call the action "import from spreadsheet" through code (or) another way to reuse the action "import from spreadsheet" - The main requirement is to import bulk WTParts with structure and with autogenerated custom numbers from an Excel data.2) Also for the document import - do we have anything to import documents in bulk with structure in a single go from Excel data(any solution other than using direct APIs to create documents and document links)

Dear all, I am trying to delete a Windchill object which is added in an user's workspace. while deleting it is showing below error:"Cannot delete part because it is in following workspace". even i chose option "Remove from workspace and delete" but still throwing the same error. I have admin login, do I have rights to remove the object from someone's workspace and delete it? Br,Sandeep C. 

I am looking to insert something that interacts with the lightbox (yellow banner) only on the homepage invocation. Normally, I can figure out where that is generated but does anyone know the main JSP for the user homepage?

We've developed a customization that uses the lightbox (yellow message banner) that executes on the user's home tab to relay actionable information. Each time the page is refreshed, the message appears but would not like to throttle that message to be periodic. Some of our thoughts were: Accessing the user's session creation and spacing out execution based on that time. Accessing the user's login time and doing same thing. Creating a singleton which keeps track of the user's last execution time limiting based on some timer. For the last option, how would that work across multiple method servers? Would each MS having its own JVM, have its own copy of the singleton? Not a huge issue but is there a system wide solution? Example solution would be to display a message no more than once every two hours. Open to any other solutions.

We are running PSI (windchill 12.1.2.0) on windows 2019 server (a clean vm), the installanywhere shows up at 100%, however that ends there. I can see the "wscript" in the task manager which gets terminated/closed after few minutes.Looking at gpo, policies, all looks fine - any insight what it could be?LAX_VM is set right, VC++ redistributables look good, enough disk space. All zips looks not blocked Thank youRaj    

Is it possible to use an attribute connected to a CREO parameter in Windchill that reads both string and integer? If not, is there an easy way to convert the parameter type to string or integer inside the model in CREO?   

I'm sure this has been asked in some form already but what is the purpose or advantage of using Promotion Requests vs. the Change Management process of CN's & CR's?Our company here uses Promotion Requests to vault different revisions of new designs before they are officially released. I was curious what other reasons someone would use a Promotion Request? -CR

Looking for guidance to upload the .tbl files into my windchill library.  When i try to upload them into windchill, it appearing as a DOCUMENT instead of table file which cant be imported to the drawings. Refer attached image.  There are few tables already exists in the windchill library which can be imported to the drawings thru " Table from file" option and their display icons looks different. Please help   

When I try to run the PTC Solution Installer on my Linux machine, after the selection for language, it gets stuck on the first page which is saying - "Please wait, PTCSolnInstaller is being configured for your system. This may take a moment..". It stays like that for 2 hours already, without any feedback from it. Any ideas? 

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.2 and Datecode with CPS 11.2.0.1In Commonspace view, there is an option to have a column called "thumbnail navigation". In is helpful to have this column visible, but I would like to turn off the popup on hover function? I would like to be able to click on the image to view the information when I want to see it and not have it block visibility of other columns every time the mouse passes over it.

Hi Guys,I need to know a few details from the Family Table Point 1: My template format is mmks (.prt), I create a multi-variant in the family table in mm units. But in the windchill, I can only see decimals. I want the same value with units.Point 2: For example, I have 1 generic 2 instance - I want to know which component or assembly is referenced/linked if I open instance 1 or 2 on the info page. Thanks, Amir  

I would like to know what are the major impacts of giving a freehand to end users to skip revisions.1)Is there performance impacts in Windchill.2)Are there any downstream impacts due to the skipped revision sequence.3)What are the impacts on the search engine of Windchill  

Hoping that someone may offer some guidance on this one but if the last NX question is any indication, this may go into the ether 🙂  One of the CAD softwares we use is NX but our PLM is Windchill. Windchill supports certain types of references but not all per the documentation below. Managing NX References  That's fine. I understand. My question is about "consequences". Say that we do in fact use "Wave links created using Routing Objects geometry" (if you're doing any sort of cabling, you will struggle doing it differently), how does that present on the Windchill end as far as collecting the appropriate models to add to workspace?  A particular error we're getting is "Failed to save xxx.prt - file in use by another process". This is for a child of a fitting. If we add the entire family table (Windchill doesn't collect this on it's own likely because it's an unsupported reference) and make sure that it's not Locked in the workspace, things behave

Hi we're currently reviewing our model change management process and need to know what is good industry standard best practice w.r.t. the following example(Please refer to pdf example). For example let say a Creo part on a indent level 3(BN3 Rev C) needs to change. The part is interchangeable in all "where used" parent models.Hence only revision change to this part is needed. In Windchill PDM Link the part will get revised( to BN3 rev D) and checked out of Windchill to make appropriate changes in Creo session. After changes is made the part gets checked into Windchill again and promoted to a Released state.My question is how does companies handle the parent CAD models in the Creo/Windchill environment for a child revision example as explained above? For instance if I open a Released parent model in Creo(lets say Model BN4 RevA) the 'As stored model' will be opened in Creo showing the old BN3 Rev C child model. The BN4 model can not be regenerated since it is kept in a Released state. T
