Windchill

When using Partslink and defining some attributes as required, we are unable to load legacy data that might be missing some of this data.  Is there a setting we change that allows the part data to be loaded (via importable spreadsheet) if it is missing required information?  The premise here is to get the legacy data in but prevent new parts from being created without the required data. Thanks!

I am trying to write some script that checks to see if a Setup Role has members before continuing.  I have script that works in a Condition operation and now I am trying to add it to execute on the Complete Task transition.  For this to work, I need to use the 'self' object of the activity and get to the workflow process object... but the Javadocs aren't entirely complete and I can't find the correct documentation on the activity (WfAssignedActivity?) class.  Does anyone have this info?

Hey folks, I am throwing in the towel for Configurable Products with Windchill 11 and moving on to the "Smart" Platform with Dynamic Positioning. Anybody else using this in production, or at least at later stages in development? Hope to hear some success stories of using it to create new variants with proper 3D Visualizations of Variants without building them in Creo.   Attached is a very simple assembly with functional constraints. It is easy to spin off variants from Creo, but not so much from the Windchill 11 Options & Variants. Windchill will build the correct Variant BOM, but positioning is wrong.   (view in My Videos)
