Hi!How to extend user's permissions to the target objects in the workflow? For example, in the current product context user have no permission for modifying documents. But in the change activity workflow user on role assignee should modify some documents.

When FloatingPointWithUnits type attribute value is set to null after the creation, upon save and check-in, value is not setting to null.

I am building a test system for Windchill 11.0.Install Oracle 12c. Run the 11.0 PSI Setup to configure Oracle.It has been running for almost 12 hours and is stuck at 21% complete.No user problem,no permission problem,  I try to kill the process and start over with a clean Oracle install and then rerun the PSI Setup.But the completion rate is still only 21%. 

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.2 and Datecode with CPS 11.2.0.2Can we have bounding box on details page?Are Box Spatial Filters dynamic? Are the details stored in Database? Are they useful only for Visualization?

I learned today that when you save an Annotation from Creo View in a CAD Document opened from Windchill, the Annotation is saved in the Content tab of that CAD Document in Windchill.   Cool! I want to be able to use this further and view that Annotation via ThingWorx Navigate (actually so manufacturing can see it). When I created a new Representation from Windchill, I was hoping the Annotation would be Published along with the CAD Document and that I would find it when I opened the CAD Document from the View and Measure in 3D App in Thingworx Navigate. That was not the case however.  Does any one know if what I am trying to do is possible? and if so how to do it?  I imagine maybe it is in the setup of the Publisher...  This is posted in the Windchill forum as well.

Hello,We want to give acces in our windchill to external manufacturer.I tryied to make like here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGUHwlI3Kq8&t=345s I need to share lagre assembly but hide from manufacturer one subassembly in it. And the problem is that subassembly hided only in visualization in the Structure tab. In the Details tab they will be to see representation of whole large assembly by using Creo View. How can I totally hide subassembly?

In Windchill, whenever I view my Creo drawings with the "Creo Lite" viewer, I keep getting datum features that show up on my drawing (see snapshot). Does anyone know what causes this? Is this a Layering issue because I do have my layers turned-off in the drawing?

I just created a report to list all part instances (using wt.part.WTProductInstance2). The report works fine as the admin, but when I run as a user I get the following error. ERROR: Access is restricted for this user. Nested exception is: wt.query.template.invalidQML.exception. Access is restricted for this user. I have a report admin group generated to give permissions  (https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS292726) but users still cannot run this report. Any ideas?

Hello,Some of our remote employees are working with a slow and unstable internet connection. Are there any recommendations how to work this way? May be borrowed Creo licence helps?We use Creo Parametric 8 and Windchill 12. 

Hello, I know that we have a functionality called Enterprise Data which comes under Windchill MPM Link module, but even with the MPMLink module installed, I could not see the Enterprise Data option in my application. Can anyone shed some light on when I would be able to see the Enterprise Data in my system, is there any preference or setting that needs to be updated to enable the same? Thanks,Hari

Using WC 12.0.2.7, I am trying to auto-create and link change objects at various levels (PR to CR, CR to CN, etc.).  I have searched the community for examples and found one called "Create Change Request from Problem Report and Default to same Container" that seemed to have some useful code, but the linking between the CR and CN in the example used the older model of linking. wt.change2.FormalizedBy fb = new wt.change2.FormalizedBy();fb.setChangeIssue(ci);fb.setChangeRequest2(CRNew2);wt.fc.PersistenceServerHelper.manager.insert(fb); I cannot find examples of the newer objects used for linking (ChangeProcessLink?).  Does anyone have an example? Related question:  Does anyone have the most recent JavaDocs available from PTC (or can anyone tell me where to get them)?  My copy appears to have many gaps (such as the "insert" above call which does not appear in my docs on the "PersistenceManagerSvr" interface used in "PersistenceServerHelper.manager").

When our original Windchill system was created at Windchill 8, the then system admin created multiple vaults. There are vaults for the part library (6 folders), documents (3 folders), product (53 folders), etc. Since then Windchill has added the capability to automatically create a new folder in the vault when the current folder reaches a threshold. I have set up the other Windchill system to do this. Is there any way to move the files from the multiple vaults/folders to a single vault/folders structure for auto rollover when a folder is full? This system is current on Windchill 11.0 M030 but in the process of doing an upgrade to Windchill 12.0.2.

Does anybody have any good information or documentation about Partslink Classification and reuse.  I want to suggest my company use this to help classify parts, but I need good documentation to sell them on the idea.

I'm trying to troubleshoot CAD worker performance to figure out why registering a server and downloading a simple (small), single part takes minutes. We've done bandwidth tests between the CAD worker VM and Windchill and can move a ton of data within seconds. But when the CAD worker is publishing (either Creo or NX), that performance is non-existent. For example: an average time to register server 1+ minute. This seems to happen for every single job that goes through on Creo. Why? A single part (cube and cylinder for a demo) takes nearly 3 minutes to download.While some recent settings seem to have bypassed NX jobs needing to re-register the server every job, even a washer takes 2+ minutes to download through the WGM. But if that same file is passed between the worker and server, it's near instant. What would cause such a drastic slowdown when the file is downloaded through WGM?

Hello,We have error in windchill "Reteam not allowed because the object is not the latest iteration. Refresh the data and try again."I can't any information about this error. All I understood about this error is that it happens with new objects in windchill. I can upload these new objects to workspace but can't check in.

Hi , In Jasper Report integration with Windchill, its been observed that only String value can be passed as an input because the following code snipper is designed to accept only String type:Map<String, String> reportTemplateCriteria = new HashMap();final URL reportUrl = ReportHelper.manager.getThirdPartyReportExecuteUrl(reportRef, reportTemplateCriteria); But the native Jasper has capability to accept Collections, StringBuilder etc.Would be helpful if PTC provides facility to accept non String parameters that can be passed as input to the report. Regards,Vinoth K Balu

I've read the many posts and articles on this topic and am prepping to setup my environment. I planned on using my index server to temporarily host an 11.2 WindchillDS instance for use with upgrade target and later switch to OpenDJ. Just running it heck of time getting this installed. First issue was lack of space on /tmp, worked around that. Next was it complaining about the Java version not being higher than 1.8.0_202: Invalid Java version. Java 1.8.0_202+ is required. *Installation Directory for Java for Windchill: however, I downloaded Amazon Corretto 1.8.0_342 (OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM Corretto-8.342.07.4). Following CS344918 , I downloaded the latest CPS update (17) which has an updated version of WindchillDS in it. No dice. Still not letting PSI install standalone WindchillDS. Any other thoughts? 

Hi,Is there a way to prohibit publish of CAD Documents entirely based on a specific life cycle state, in this case "Under Review"? It does not add any value for the publish to run because of Promotion process. I've tried to work around with this in the publishrules.xml / Visualization Configuration Administration, but this is not the solution because it's not that straight forward with the other state values:<not><attribute name="epmdoc_lifeCycleState" value="Under Review"/></not> Just simply tell somewhere "if state is Under Review do not trigger publish", but where?
