I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M020-CPS08I would like to find which wtPart to EPMDocuments are associated but never built. How do I find that either in a report or in the tables, Part and CAD documents that have never been built?

My client told me that do not allow to revise a wtpart which is discarded. So is it posible to do such thing? 

Hello, I'm using WC on my browser, and I'd like to use its API to perform CRUD operations, but I'm not able to find the API documentation as described in the help files. Please see the attached screenshot of the location of these files.I checked my license and looks like REST services is installed. Any idea why I cannot see the "Client customization" item? Thanks,Bert

Had a kick out on UpgradeManager when checking Default and Enterprise Adapters. I've imported my source LDAP to a temp WindchillDS LDAP (let's call this host T1). My source LDAP remains running for production (let's call this host S1). My target upgrade server has the webserver and Windchill installed (Let's call this W1)   I gave it the location and connection information for T1 to find my imported source LDAP copy. I chose to let the UpgradeManager configure my webserver settings to authenticate. What is odd is that when it did that, it used the hostname of S1 for the adapters as they were written in the LDAP import on T1. Obviously, target host W1 cannot see S1 for good reason as this is the current 11.1 production system. Why would it not alter the hostname to use T1 and not S1 when writing the Windchill auth settings? It does not seem right that I would have to update those myself in the ldap to work around issue.

I am trying to bulk load Operations by using the LoadFromFile. The field LongDescription in most of the cases consists of multiline text. Hi,   I'm busy setting up windchill and the numbering is automatic: 0000000001 for the first one, 000000000x... counting up. However, I would like to change the first number: 700000000x So my first part generated is 7000000001. How to implement, I how no knowledge of XML 😕   Thanks!  

HiAt times we seem to have huge log files. Apparently some more or less innocent errors are logged with their full stack trace of executed java methods, Sometimes more than 100 lines long for a single occurance.Is there a way to only display the top methods in the stack trace ? 

Is there a good way to use Windchill to track contract required deliverables? I understand loading docs and routing them for local approval prior to submitting through external portals. I'm wondering about some sort of tracking, where maybe we have to load all of the potential deliverables up front, but we could list who would own them, when they are due, etc. Currently I see many people using a spreadsheet or other external form of recording and it seems quite silly. We have a tool that should be able to be used for this. 

I know this can be done with the search tool, but I'm having some trouble getting the results. I'm trying to make a custom report that can do the following. Search by a prefix or sequence (preferably a drop down menu if thats possible?)checkbox/option to return WT parts and/or CAD documents.Any ideas on this one?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M030-CPS09Having issues with completing or saving a change task. No errors in Windchill logs but errors in Apache logs.please see attached. When users are completing of saving a change task windchill white screens and clock spins with no errors.See attached Apache log.

I am using Windchill 11.1 CPS 25 We noted that there is no default setting/option to collect related SUMA parts from an OEM part on any of the OOTB collector (available on Promotion Request/Change Objects).The idea was that the OEM part & SUMA part would go through said Promotion & ECN together. There is an ability to add those SUMA parts Ad-Hoc (+ button or through the search field below the tables); this assumes the person creating the Promotion/Change is aware of the associated SUMA objects. How are you/your organization circumventing this problem ?(Also, if I have overlooked any configuration do let me know)

Hi team,In xconfmanager, you can undefine or remove:--reset Reset the site specific value of a property or set ofproperties to the declared default value.--undefine Reset the property such that its value will be null--remove Treat the named property as an ordered set and remove avalue from it in the site.xconf. I have been configuring Security Labels, and I set a property that should not have been set. Then I tried --undefine and --remove but the property key remains in xconf.site and the related properties file. I would like to get rid of it completely. Will --reset get rid of the property? Maybe I need to use the backups?thanks -- Rick

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M030Hi,I am trying to get the functionality of Multiple Release Targets and I am trying to Migrate into Windchill 12.1 and would like to get this functionality working before I move to Windchill 12.1, I have added the a new life Cycle state and still does not work. All I want is for the pull down to happen when you want to select on e of the multiple Release Target states. Please help me get this running so I continue my migration.... TY Bill H. PS I realize we are at Windchill 11.0 but I see in Windchill 12.1 it has the same functionality but want to see this operate before I bring the database across. Hello, I am currently using a Query Spec to look for all WTParts that match a specific query (query for name or number).I am also applying a SearchCondition with Iterated.LATEST_ITERATION = true to look for the latest iteration. spec.appendWhere(new SearchCondition(WTPart.class, Iterated.LATEST_ITERATION, SearchCondition.IS_TRUE), new int[]{index}); I am now trying to expand the query by a latest revision filter since with the Iterated.LATEST_ITERATION = true it returns the latest iterations of all revisions but I only need the latest iteration of the latest revision of this part. Using the Windchill Search I was able to do exaclty this but I need this as a Java Query. Hey All,  We are always looking to automate what we can. One of our daily checks is to do a "Round Robin" and verify we can connect to each of the user nodes in our cluster. To do this we modify the host file on our machine to make it point at each specific node. As you can imagine, it takes some time to modify the file, login, verify its connected to that node, closed out the browser, change host file to the next node and repeat. Question is, has anyone found an automated way to do this? Is there a faster way? We have also moved on from PSM to Dynatrace cloud tool , but have not yet put in place the new profiles that are available.  Thanks in advance. 

Hi all,   At the moment the full path of the classification is displayed on the details page. We would need to display only the last class. So instead of having for example: Technical\Screw\Nr1 screw to see only Nr1 Screw.   Has anyone changed this on their systems or has any ideas?   Alex

We have no program reaction if WVS monitor job failed or if the visualization of some objects was not done at all. We just have no visualization and no one knows about it. Can we made some program reaction? For example email notification if something goes wrong with it...

I have a situation where due to human error, an older revision drawing was printed and built to causing customer complaints and internal corrective action measures.  Now we do show the current lifecycle state on our drawings, and in theory, the old rev drawing is/was Prod Released.  We have had one suggestion to mark old rev drawings as obsolete, but then I feel you will lose track of what version was released and what is truly obsolete.  Not a good suggestion in my opinion. So my question to the community, how do you folks treat/manage your old rev drawings?  Do you do anything particular to the drawing to mark it as out of date or superseded by a newer rev?  Do you restrict access?  I am looking for a poka-yoke solution here to prevent future recurrences.  Is watermarking smart enough to know how to update an earlier rev drawing when the latest version is released? Appreciate your time and comments.

We have a large number of Geometry Reviewers in our organizaion that use MacBook Pro's.CREO View will not run natively on the Mac OS and we find that the visualizations availible in the Windchill client browser under the Structure tab don't have enough feaures for our needs.   We've explored options for running CREO View in a Windows emulator on trhe Mac's or on a remote server,  but all are troublesome and not really usable in our environment.  Does anyone have a third-party solution for an alternative to CREO View that can open geometry for review directly from Windchill?  The only options we have found requiring mirroring of the geometry data on another server outside of Windchill which doesn't make sense for the quantity of files we are working with.  PTC- how about a Mac OS native version of CREO View - is this on your roadmap?  If so how far in the future?
