Hi all, How can I add new column in avalible columns table? I can see that some of them was made previous.     

I'm having a hard time with this one. I can't seem to figure out how to get windchill to include additional files in the packages. I have the publisher set up to add step files under the representation, added afterloader (option 2) and even manually adding attachments doesn't do anything. The content folder of the zip file ONLY contains a text file and the cad parts. I don't even see a PVZ file. I'm on windchill  PDMlink 11.0 M030. Am I missing some basic setting?

If the CN Initiator removed from the License groups (due to Termination, etc.), the transaction fails on RTM workflow. The RTM workflow checks for the CN Initiator access (ESI Author) for creating the ESI Release objects. The workaround which we have is to add the user back to the License group and retry the transaction. We have to fix this issue because: 1. adding a terminated user back to the license group is against some organization's regulations. 2. there is no ESI Failure task because the workflow is stuck on the workflow. So the only way to find these transactions is to perform a search or generate a report.

We have been getting Extended Position assemblies set up so we can start publishing stuff with Assembly Level Features, I have followed this article and got something working, I made this flowchart to help myself and my fellow admins understand it, just thought it might be useful for others struggling to follow the documentation. We got it working by using a single attribute named POS_ASSY, which is set to YES for all assemblies, so they all publish as position assemblies, then set manually to "assembly_features" for Assemblies with features, we set the cadrep name to use as "default" as this will be present on all assemblies. Please let me know if you find an error in my diagram, its still a very mysterious topic.

I have figured out how to get Step files publishing as additional content, however the files give no indictaion of the original CAD version or last modified date. Is there some way I can add the EPMdoc version or last modifed date to the step file prefix of suffix?

I'd like to know this myself, i'm unable to reallocate the number of licenses for Navigate because our IT admin created several license files using all licenses available for Thingworx for our dev and test servers instead of just allocating a couple for the test team.

Hello community We are using Windchill since years for Creo. Now we integrated Inventor with WGM. Migration went all without any issue.   We have now the following problem: Large files (example 80-350mb) can be downloaded, checked out, opened in inventor, modified. When we do the save process the file is saved to the local WC file system environment correctly. Inside the workspace we only receive the small watch symbol and it says "local files are out of date with workspace"   Small CAD objects are not a problem, their behavior is like normal "Creo" objects.   Any ideas how to resolve this? Anyone has the same issue?   Thank you for the help

I want to exclude certain EPM documents from publishing based on their naming convention in a way that can also capture whether the EPM document is a .asm or .drw, does anyone know of any methods we could use to filter by name so items do not go the the publishing queue?

I have pushed attributes from a Change Activity to a Change Notice upon completion of the activity.  Now what I would like to do is push an attribute from a document approval workflow to a soft type of document.  I have defined a workflow variable called string1 as type java.lang.String and also a variable parentDocument of type wt.doc.WTDocument.  I tried to use the logic that I had but I am getting an error.  It would be great if this possible.   Here is my transition code:   com.ptc.core.lwc.server.LWCNormalizedObject obj=new com.ptc.core.lwc.server.LWCNormalizedObject(parentDocument,null,null, new com.ptc.core.meta.common.UpdateOperationIdentifier()); obj.load("string1"); obj.set("string1",internal_name_string_on_softtype); obj.apply(); wt.fc.PersistenceHelper.manager.modify(parentDocument);   The error I get when I check the syntax is:   warning: Supported source version 'RELEASE_7' from annotation processor 'com.microsoft.azure.management.

I have some questions that are specific about Windchill integration into JDE. More specifically pushing additional information into JDE, such as PTC_MATERIAL.Short history: My company has been using Windchill now for about 8 years. Our parent company is now pushing out their own Windchill implementation that is directly tied into JDE, was initially deployed with non-fabricated items in mind, and has only been used up to this point by business units that only sell to other business units. All of this has some what tied our hands, and I have no direct contacts that I can get information from on what is/isn't possible in JDE. My impression is our JDE people don't want to change, so our Windchill people are trying to work around it. Also, HQ is in France, so there is a language barrier that complicates things.Anyone with some knowledge on this, I would love to pick your brain a little. We have an requirement to add Viewables for Documents attachments. And add the list view for the Search page. Has anyone tried to modify the OOTB mashup? They used to be editable now they are read only. I tried editing the extension properties however no luck so far.   thanks, Preeti

Is there a way to prevent attachments from being duplicated when performing a Save As action on a CAD Document in Windchill?    When publishing secondary content such as PDF or STEP as an attachment to the CAD Document, the Save As process moves the source object's attachments forward to the new object. This results in old attachment(s) with the old name(s). When the CAD drawing or CAD model is checked in again, it will have multiple attachments; the old one(s) and the new one(s).   Maybe there is a more elegant way of removing the old attachment when publishing the new PDF or STEP attachment? In some cases, the CAD document also contains other attachments, so removing all attachments while creating the new attachment would not be the best solution.    There is an existing idea for this functionality if you'd like to vote it up. https://community.ptc.com/t5/Windchill-Ideas/Prevent-Remove-attachments-from-copying-over-in-Save-As/idi-p/574120 

What's the use of the primary object icon which indicates that the selected object is the focus of the baseline. What purpose does it serve? 

I'm looking into putting attributes on a document that I am working on putting into Windchill but have seem to come across a limitation.  I have footers and headers and the headers are different from page 1 to page 2.  In the header sections I want to put Name, Number and Version attributes.  However, it seems that each attribute can only be used once on the document though I have added it in both places.  I change the template to reflect this and it does not act as expected.  Is there something I am missing?  Is this functionality?  How do I get the same attribute in two places?  I'm on Windchill 11.2.1.4. Hi,I am trying to customize the columns in the Uses tab under the Structure part info tab.The Uses tab renders a Table component with a column Reference Designator with cells that are editable. I want to change the cells in such a way they are not a text box that is editable, but a Link that opens a WTDocument in Windchill.Please help me how to do this.Thank you in advance.

We have users like "purchasing agents" who only log into Windchill to grab a .pdf of a drawing to send to a supplier. They don't create objects, or kick off any workflows and yet we are required to pay $300 a year for a license for them. This seems rather pathetic and greedy for PTC. There should be an out of the box Profile like "guest" that is read only that admins can assign users to that doesn't require a license.
