Hi all, Where is the Windchill Swagger demo site? Last week I was exploring the PTC Windchill site, and I think there was a page where you could try REST API calls to a Windchill server using Swagger. Now I search but I cannot find it.  Maybe I was looking at Thingworx Swagger, but that does not help: I am trying to learn the Windchill API. Thanks Rick

Hello I have set all in thingworx imported all extensions required .and in ptc-windchill-connector ,ptc-winedchill-connector-proxy i have done required setting for windchill fixed authentication below are the setting i have done all setting in composer.   attached log file. I am performing fixed account authentication .followed below steps.   In Thingworx : Open ptc-windchill-integration-connector and select Configuration Set Authentication Type to None Fill out Username and Password Fill the Base URL with: http://<Windchill Hostname>:<port>/Windchill/trustedAuth (instead of sslClientAuth) Click Save. Open ptc-windchill-integration-connector-proxy and select Configuration              URL: http://<Windchill Hostname> Set Authentication Type to basic Fill out Username, Password Do not specify path for Keystore and TrustStore (Starting Navigate 1.8) : Set "Test Connection URL"=http://<SERVER_NAME&

Does anyone hearing anything about the new Windchill licensing change coming soon that my dramatically increase customers' licensing cost after Windchill 11.2?  I also heard that PTC will also charge Creo connecting to Windchill license with different levels.  Anyone hearing about this?

After merging all of my checkpoints on my test server, Windchill HTTP Server no longer wants to start.  It wasn't giving me any logs either so I tried starting it from a command prompt and got the error message that says something was already using Port 80.  It was find before I did the merge, but now every time I start the computer System is taking Port 80.   I found a really old, WC 9.1, instruction on how to change it, but was wondering if anyone had any instructions on how to change from Port 80 in Windchill that are newer, like for any version of 11.  I'm on 11.2.   I do have a help call open, but once in a while I like to see which is faster.

We need to fetch all the EPM Documents associated with WTPart. We are fetching this using Query Builder. Using EPMBuildRule and EPMDescribeLink, we were able to fetch association  - Content, Image, Contributing Content and Contributing Image. However we are unable to fetch the Calculated Associations. Please suggest how to fetch that data.

We have a business/security requirement to track who has logged in as wcadmin so that specific actions performed as wcadmin can be traced back to a person. I've tried searching through the support portal, but have been unsuccessful it seeing if such a feature is included in Windchill or has been customized into Windchill in some way. Any ideas? When searching for Parts or Documents, our users sometimes need to find the latest version, regardless of state (even if it's pending a CN or still at In Design state). Other times, they need to find the latest production-released version, and do not want to see the in-process objects.   In Navigate, there's no way to do that.  There is a admin capability to select latest released (can specify states and views). But this configuration change applies to all users. It's not available to individual users, and cannot be applied to individual users. My Windchill Admin has moved on to greener pastures.    I am trying to open a Creo drawing from Windchill.  When I select the Actions -> Open In -> Open in Creo  Windchill tries to open the file using Creo Render Studio.  It appears this is unlicensed.  If I open Creo Parametric that seems to be licensed.  I'd therefore like to figure out how to get Windchill to open the drawing in Parametric instead of Render Studio.  How can I do this? (So sorry for the Noob question)

I'm trying to delete cache for my workspaces. But I'm getting this message window 'cache associated with frames cannot be deleted until frames are deleted' and aborting the cache clearing.  What is this Frames? How to override this frames to clear the cache?

Hi,   I have a custom attribute. Using Data Utilty I made the attribute multivalued. The attribute is supposed to be a User Picker.  I can not see User Picker(code written/datautility id registered/cache cleared)   Is it because we cannot have two Data Utility functions for the same attribute(Multivalued and Picker)?

Hello,   We are looking into migrating our next location into Windchill and have a versioning issue. Our HQ uses Numeric prior to Release and Alpha post Release, hence WC is configured this way with state-based revisioning. The next location uses Numeric for Released revisions.   We are being told, by PTC there is concern about corrupting the database. 1. We cannot modify the existing XML state-based sequence. 2. We cannot create a new sequence for an existing object (load new named XML file).   Has anyone any experience with modifying the state-based sequence in anyway? We are considering Importing the data in at the Numeric revision, but Released state. This violates the State Based sequence.  Has anyone tried that? Or we are considering adding a "-" to preceed "A" for Released.   Has anyone had success with ADDING a value to Sate Based revisions?   Thanks for your response.

Hola, why unable to see surface or curves on WCH detail page even Creo View can open vizualization OK?     This is my RCP setting on the server (curves and quilts allowed)     Think vizualization is OK so Creo View shows everything but why WCH refusing to show it as well?

Hi All, We moved to AWS Cloud our Windchill infrastructure, question I have is: does anyone successfully implemented Load balancing using /Windchill/servlet/WindchillGW/wt.httpgw.HTTPServer/ping method? I’m new to this topic of AWS “Elastic Load Balancing” with 3 types of LB “Application Load Balancer” “Network Load Balancer” and “Classic Load Balancer” Normally in bigip.conf file I would include this configuration and it would work but not sure if I need to setup virtual bigIP LB on AWS or this is possible with AWS load balancers OOTB?   Example: monitor windchillqa-443 {    defaults from https    interval 30    timeout 91    recv "Succeeded"    send "GET /Windchill/servlet/WindchillGW/wt.httpgw.HTTPServer/ping\r\n" }   Thx, V

Hi,   I am completely new to this and not really sure where to start. I am also not really able to find a How To guide apart from the odd 6 min video.   The setup will be as follow: Company A bought company B and company B will now become the new additional organization. Company A must be able to see company B's data but not the other way around.   I am not sure yet whether there will be made use of only one server since the companies are located in different regions of the country.   What is all the info/requirements that I need to know before creating an additional organization.   Appreciate the help.   Regards

I have in the past used a separate machine for publishing, but we are now trying to install publishing on the Windchill server itself. I have Creo 4 m110 installed locally on the Windchill server. Creo 4 will launch. I have Creo View Adapters 5.1f00 installed locally on the Windchill  server. I created a SetUp folder under the Creo View load point and got the files saved to it. GS Worker starts as  a Windows service.   When I run Adapter.pvi, enter the Windchill server name and port 601, Test Server returns this: Test worker connection to server:-  Worker type: PROE Server:  fakename.centrusenergy.com Port:  601 Testing Connection to Server ... Failed:-  Could not connect to the CADAgent at port 601 of fakename.centrusenergy.com. Simple question hopefully, just curious and can't find a straightforward answer in documentation. Can you have two of the same name/number parts in two different products? I ask for the sake of bringing a new product line into our system from a new company acquisition that has a few part numbers the same.   Example:  12345.prt   in    Automotive Product 12345.prt   in    Industrial Product

I did an upgrade to Windchill PDM link 11.1 not too long ago. During the process of creating a staging area for the software, I created a Software CD Directory of installation media. Now that the upgrade has been completed for some time, In the interests of trying to increase available disc space, do I still need to keep this directory or can I delete them. An example of the contents of this directory: - Windchill 11.1 Common Base - Windchill 11.1 Directory Server - Windchill 11.1 Index Search - Windchill 11.1 Service Pack M020 - Windchill PDMLink 11.1 F000 - Creo View 5.1 Adapters _F000_windows - Creo View 5.1 Clients _F000_windows   Thank you.    

Hi,   is there a way to export all CAD files from Windchill to a fileserver?   How hard is it to query information from the database about file structure and their position in the vault? Does anybody have some experience on this?   We already exported files from the workspace and renamed and moved them by script according to a CSV export. But for another server doing this by hand would be too much.   br Bernhard
