Hi All, I have configured eclipse with windchill using "ant -f bin/tools.xml eclipse_project" cmd and imported the cust_windchill_src in eclipse.. I m able to created,compile ,reload,debug java files successfully.but for jsps,xmls its not working..I have atatched the error screen shot. is there any configuration for jsp's,actions(netmarkets,config folder) in eclipse..Thanks,Chanhasen

Hello, please tell me where I can get the documentation on Windchill with detailed examples of working with the code, because in the usual documentation 99% of the information is not clear to me at all, even the first examples do not turn out?

Documentation 10_MR040_WindchillCustomizationGuide.pdf on page 51 it shows project cust_Windchill_src in Eclipse. In order to load that project in you must follow directions from ant -f bin/tools.xml eclipse_project.help I followed these directions. Step 1) Run the eclipse_project task is too vague. I can get the cust_Windchill_src folder into the project window of Eclipse, but I have no supporting libraries or src folders. Can anyone explain what "run the eclipse_project task" actually means? I put in Filesync, but I am not sure it is working. Thanks.

Gurus,   I'm needing to update a custom attribute for 500 wtparts. Is it possible to skip the Name and Revision columns in the import spreadsheet?   The Validator states: Following part attributes are required: Name   At the moment, the only process I can comprehend is to export all the Name and Revision data from the system for all the items, do some Excel work, then import again. Please share an easier method with me.

Hi ,I have a requirement:-In a workflow for a particular activity , when a user recieves the task , user should see two attributes 1. Company 2. Country in the task page.Also the input for the attributes should ONLY be a drop down list.In the Workflow template , i have created two variables in the activity of type name : wt.org.WTUser to achieve the drop down but this only gives the names of users in the Windchill system in the drop down list.Please suggest. Has anyone used Windchill to do the following :     For any of Ansys, Abaqus, or Star-CCM+, an analysis contains: All documentation and notes; Analysis geometry, setup, input files; Reports, slide decks, non-direct analysis results (i.e. excel or Mathcad calculations); Anything else produced to support the effort during the analysis; txt file and all files necessary to recreate the results.   These are split up into ~5 different folders for organization. Each folder may have up to hundreds of sub files and folders.   We would want a system which would retain all of the files except certain file extension types we have identified which are the results files. These could be recreated at a later date a represent many TBs of data. I would want this step to be automated.   Every analysis reports to a part number (or assembly number) and can be categorized into its analysis type (Structural, Thermal, CFD, EMag, Coupled, etc.). Sometimes there is an add-on analysis

Just the act of opening an assembly within my workspace causes it to be modified.  When I open it, it prompts me to check it out. After clicking "continue", it causes the assembly to show as being modified (blue "+" symbol).  It also seems to arbitrarily choose other sub-assemblies within it that it prompts me to check out. These also show up as modified after choosing "continue."    This happens on multiple different assemblies, not just one. And it doesn't always happen.    Any idea why it would be doing this?

Hi all, Where is the Windchill Swagger demo site? Last week I was exploring the PTC Windchill site, and I think there was a page where you could try REST API calls to a Windchill server using Swagger. Now I search but I cannot find it.  Maybe I was looking at Thingworx Swagger, but that does not help: I am trying to learn the Windchill API. Thanks Rick

Hello I have set all in thingworx imported all extensions required .and in ptc-windchill-connector ,ptc-winedchill-connector-proxy i have done required setting for windchill fixed authentication below are the setting i have done all setting in composer.   attached log file. I am performing fixed account authentication .followed below steps.   In Thingworx : Open ptc-windchill-integration-connector and select Configuration Set Authentication Type to None Fill out Username and Password Fill the Base URL with: http://<Windchill Hostname>:<port>/Windchill/trustedAuth (instead of sslClientAuth) Click Save. Open ptc-windchill-integration-connector-proxy and select Configuration              URL: http://<Windchill Hostname> Set Authentication Type to basic Fill out Username, Password Do not specify path for Keystore and TrustStore (Starting Navigate 1.8) : Set "Test Connection URL"=http://<SERVER_NAME&

Does anyone hearing anything about the new Windchill licensing change coming soon that my dramatically increase customers' licensing cost after Windchill 11.2?  I also heard that PTC will also charge Creo connecting to Windchill license with different levels.  Anyone hearing about this?

After merging all of my checkpoints on my test server, Windchill HTTP Server no longer wants to start.  It wasn't giving me any logs either so I tried starting it from a command prompt and got the error message that says something was already using Port 80.  It was find before I did the merge, but now every time I start the computer System is taking Port 80.   I found a really old, WC 9.1, instruction on how to change it, but was wondering if anyone had any instructions on how to change from Port 80 in Windchill that are newer, like for any version of 11.  I'm on 11.2.   I do have a help call open, but once in a while I like to see which is faster.

We need to fetch all the EPM Documents associated with WTPart. We are fetching this using Query Builder. Using EPMBuildRule and EPMDescribeLink, we were able to fetch association  - Content, Image, Contributing Content and Contributing Image. However we are unable to fetch the Calculated Associations. Please suggest how to fetch that data.

We have a business/security requirement to track who has logged in as wcadmin so that specific actions performed as wcadmin can be traced back to a person. I've tried searching through the support portal, but have been unsuccessful it seeing if such a feature is included in Windchill or has been customized into Windchill in some way. Any ideas? Hi All, How would I disable the limit of 25 entries for ODATA REST endpoints for windchill? ex. <server>/Windchill/servlet/odata/v3/DocMgmt/Documents ---- only returns 25 entries     Thanks, Patrick 

When searching for Parts or Documents, our users sometimes need to find the latest version, regardless of state (even if it's pending a CN or still at In Design state). Other times, they need to find the latest production-released version, and do not want to see the in-process objects.   In Navigate, there's no way to do that.  There is a admin capability to select latest released (can specify states and views). But this configuration change applies to all users. It's not available to individual users, and cannot be applied to individual users. My Windchill Admin has moved on to greener pastures.    I am trying to open a Creo drawing from Windchill.  When I select the Actions -> Open In -> Open in Creo  Windchill tries to open the file using Creo Render Studio.  It appears this is unlicensed.  If I open Creo Parametric that seems to be licensed.  I'd therefore like to figure out how to get Windchill to open the drawing in Parametric instead of Render Studio.  How can I do this? (So sorry for the Noob question)

I'm trying to delete cache for my workspaces. But I'm getting this message window 'cache associated with frames cannot be deleted until frames are deleted' and aborting the cache clearing.  What is this Frames? How to override this frames to clear the cache?

Hi,   I have a custom attribute. Using Data Utilty I made the attribute multivalued. The attribute is supposed to be a User Picker.  I can not see User Picker(code written/datautility id registered/cache cleared)   Is it because we cannot have two Data Utility functions for the same attribute(Multivalued and Picker)?
