Windchill

In testing for Windchill 11, I had IT install IE 11. In an external web browser, I have no issues with IE 11 and Windchill 10. In the embedded Creo browser, I cannot get the workspace to load. Is there a work around for this condition? Some setting in IE11 that will force it to behave like IE 8 or 9? I can capture the long runing script errors and post later, if needed.

So apart from these two are there any other modules in WPA ? Hi all When installing TWX Navigate, the documents call for a patch to Windchill to support 'Contribute tasks'. This is for any Windchill version before 11.2 (please correct me!). I think the Windchill patch is necessary no matter which Navigate version  (please correct me!). The patch is provided as an executable jar which makes various changes in the Windchill installation. I like to be able to revert quickly, so is there a corresponding executable or script which could 'unpatch' or revert the patch? Maybe I need to snapshot the VM and DB after closing it all down and making backups. When the patch has not yet been applied, Will Navigate have *any* functionality? Just View tasks perhaps? What are the various Windchill changes in the patch? Added REST endpoints, changed request handlers? Does CPS-12 include this patch? (our version is below) Thanks! I would like the report to expand any groups that are in the container to show the members of the group also. Apparently, Windchill 9.1 only allows deleting of the latest version (revision & iteration) of a CAD Document.Some older posts have indicated that the way to delete non-latest is to use purge.That's like using a sledge hammer to drive a thumb tack.Is there any other way to delete a single iteration?What if I want to delete all revisions & itertations?Do I have to delete them one at a time, starting with the latest?This was trivial in Intralink 3.x.Gerry

Hi all,As per the documentation, it states that..We have turned this OFF, (Set as False) for some reason.This functionality controls the copying forward of Representations to newiterations of Representables (for example, Windchill Parts, Documents, DynamicDocuments, and Windchill Document objects). The fundamental principle is thatCopy Forward applies only to out-of-the-box, non-derived Representations.However, in the case of a Copy or Revise of a Representable, all Representations(derived and non-derived) will be copied forward out-of-the-box. Hi,   I would like to move WTParts to a different context and/or folder but when I try to select a different context location in the Move operation, only two of the several contexts display in the Set Location drop down.   With Policy Administration I have added Full Control for wcadmin on the Root domain for All Contexts but does not work. Still only the two contexts get displayed.     Where in the configuration am I missing something?   Please assist.   Thank you

Hi,      I am using Windchill Rest API and TwxIEWebService SOAP API. Using these APIs I am consuming CAD Documents and Change Request. But I am not getting any information of related part. Say Change Request "CR001" is related to Part "P0001", or CAD Document "CAD0001" is related to Part "P0002". How could I get the related Part information using REST or SOAP API?

It seems you can add a person to an object team (see screenshot). I can't think of where it will be useful. You cannot use it in a workflow (because they use roles), you cannot assign permissions (again at least for lifecycle they are assigned to roles). What use case does this support?

We just switched from PTC model manager to Windchill.But now we have no (good) way to have multiple revisions in Creo Elements/Direct. We work with lots of customers, and often they will want to add something on their machine.We then want to have the models of how it was when he first bought the machine, and then we want to add the new stuff. But the new stuff can have a bracket revision with an extra hole in it, and the bracket version the customer already has doesn't have this extra hole. If I want a complete model for the machine of this customer, I need both versions. I know a hole is not that important, but this was just a little example.Is there any way to do this and still have Windchill recognise both revisions?It was possible in model manager, so Creo can handle it.

Publishing of secondary attachmentsHello WVS lovers. I need your expertise. I am posting here & wvs are, to catch more eyes.Hope it offends no one.I really don't have in depth knowledge in the WVS area, so I am here.I am on contract to help a client, so this is their wvs configuration, so I don't know how they are configured.They are only using a office/doc worker. They publish docs to pdfs. Some of those Primary docs haveattachments.The problem they/we are having is that through the publishing scheduler, when I publish whole containers,its actually publishing the Secondary attachments to PDF's.Is it supposed to do that? It is allowed to do that? Where can that be functional?Now they are using a watermark tool (OOTB of customized).But somehow, sporadically the publisher somehow chooses the one of the secondary attachments at the defaultrepresentation, so when they select the "View in ProductView" button/icon, the pdf of the secondary/attachmentPDF pops up. Instead of the watermark
