Is Oracle 12c release 1 (12.1.0.2 ) supported to windchill 11.1 F000 .In documents its mentioned supported but in help center its mentioning 12 c release 2 .Please guide.

Hey all,   New Windchill user here. I have been tasked on a project which requires a lot of documents stored in Windchill to be uploaded to a separate database. Many of these are simply drawing files but in the future it would be ideal if we could somehow get screenshots of Creo View data as well.   I do not have access to the base Windchill installation that I am working on, so I am limited in the scope of what I can accomplish. I am looking into GUI automation to brute-force automate the task of getting drawings out of Windchill, but I am so new that I wanted to ask here if there are any native Windchill tools that may be able to assist this process.   Many thanks!

It posible to create WTDocument from Template from same Project?

Hi,I created some 3-4 users in windchill by using following procedure:Windchill Administrator Login> Site> Utilities.Principal Administrator> New User> Created User Profile> Click OK.But when I tried to add the users in Product teams, those users were not available in search list. Although these entities are present in Windchill Directory Server Control Pannel.So I deleted those users & once again tried to create them, but now I am getti an error "Username is not Unique".I am unable to find the cause of both 1) Why users were not available in search list? 2) Why user is not getiing created again?

I'm trying to get BOM import to work, but no luck. I'm using WGM 11.0 M030 and Altium 17.1.9.    To summarize, I get an error message "Can not keep revisions of this part and its associated CAD Document, 0000094075, to be the same. The part and CAD Document are from different revision schemes"   Below are the steps I've used, trying to get the BOM to import. Thanks for any suggestions! Chris   First off, the WGM menu pick for NEW ECAD DESIGN is not working for me. According to the PTC help doc, I should see a "NEW ECAD DESIGN" dialog box, with fields of Authoring Application, Number, Name, Description, Location, Revision. Instead, I just get a screen that looks like it might be something our IT department made with Product, Type, CAGE Code. Not sure why that is.   So instead, I have tried using the button NEW CAD DOCUMENT (on the button bar of my Workspace in WGM). Hi,   I'm using Windchill in our environment. Currently testing PSM 6.0 to monitor environment. Things are working as expected so far though I still need to learn more on administration of PSM. Question is how can I monitor database host of Windchill?   Since I installed PSM agents in Windchill application server, the agents are also monitoring properties of host like CPU, Memory, etc. I am able to add database connection in PSM and thus monitor transactions, but how can I monitor host properties of database server as well?   Thank you,

good morning, i have a little trouble... i open a representation from Windchill with Creo View, then i see that one file is not published, so i try to create a default representation by clicking on the preview window of windchill but, at this point, another window pops up (closing the opened file in Creo View) with only a message SENT TO PUBLISHER. and its annoying... anyone of you has the same problem? thanks

One of my Users has been successfully using Workgroup Manager 11.0 M030CPS06 for months.  Today, the software will no longer open.  He rebooted his computer but that did not help.  No one else is reporting this problem.  He is reluctant to uninstall and reinstall the program due to the number of files he has locally that are not checked in yet.  Any ideas?  What would you do or try?

I'm working on expanding our Change Notice workflow yet again. I have a situation I think will work (or is at least possible) but want to get feedback before going down this path too far.   At one stage of the CN workflow, there is a Change Manager role that will choose which downstream departments will get CN tasks for each particular CN. I've set it up using the Routing tab with a 'Manual' routing type. The intent is that the Change Manager can choose between one and four routes using check boxes in the assigned activity.   My concern is the AND collector at the tail end of these four routes. If the Change Manager chooses less than the full allotment, will the AND collector stall out the process waiting for the other paths to complete even when those other routes were not chosen by the Change Manager?   The other issue involves the Manufacturing-Engineering path (see image). I'm working on a workflow to obsolete files (i.e. change state to Obsolete and move them to a folder that has limited access). One of the requirements is to also notify the users of the file that is being made obsolete. I've looked through topics here and it seems that the preferred way is through QueryBuilder. Has anyone done this with expressions within a workflow? I'm not having a lot of luck finding methods in the JavaDOC that seem like they might work. 

We've had our production publisher down for a little bit and it's come back up and is now connected, online and ready. While the production publisher was down the PublisherQueue1 got to about 4600 items waiting and ready to be published.  My thought was that once the publisher came online, it would just start publishing... that hasn't happened. How do I get the queue to start publishing? Right now it just continues to get longer and longer and the publisher, meanwhile, is sitting idle. 

Anyone have issues normalizing EMPBuildRule in a non WC2WC migration? The EPM docs and parts have both been normalized in this staging db and loaded to windchill. wbmldr complains that it cannot locate the EPMDoc although I can search and retrieve it in Windchill and the staging db?

Hello,   I have a read-only String attribute that holds some comments as text, that is aggregated during operation of tasks within the workflow. Every line is coded with eol (line.separator) at the end.   When I display the field in the details view (More Attributes Info Page Layout) or in the edit view (Edit Layout) then the contents is correctly rendered (multiple lines of text) line 1 line 2 line 3 But when I display the attribute in the Task Form in the Task Variables section (visible, read-only, resettable), then the text is rendered to line 1<BR>line 2<BR>line 3<BR> I've tried both the default Task Form Templates for 'Native' and 'JSP' which are documented to render to HTML. Both have the same behaviour.   Where am I wrong? Your help is appreciated! Harald

Has anyone successfully setup form based login with Windchill 10.1+?If you have been able to do it,  What is the expected behavior when hitting the initial Windchill page?The documentation is unclear on whether the web server must be configured to redirect the user to the login page,  or if Windchill itself detects no REMOTE_USER header variable and redirects the user to the submitURL location.Any issues with using Desktop Integration or Creo clients?Thanks,   Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,   I am having an issue registering a 3rd party application (SolidWorks 2015 SP2) with Workgroup Manager 11.0 M020. I previously had WGM 11.0 M020 working correctly with SolidWorks 2015 SP2.   For testing purposes I installed SolidWorks 2017 and WGM 11.0 M030, registered SW 2017, connected to the test server and everything worked fine.   I then uninstalled WGM 11.0 M030 and attempted to re-install M020 via PTC installation assistant. WindChill File System and WGM install correctly, but SolidWorks sits at "pending prerequisite." WGM 11.0 M020 appears to have installed, but when I open it and click "register new application" nothing happens. TIA

Hi,   I want to do a promotion request with API and it works with this: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS133053   But within this request the process isn't selected well. If I do it manually the process is selected automatic, if I do this by API the process isn't selected. How can I add the process to the promotion request with API?  

Hello community,it should be possible to delete/disable/hide views (like Design, Manufacturing) having objects without performing a reassign View reg. CS24135If a view represents a plant which is no longer used but there are objects using this view already, you are not able to diasble/hide the view. In this case the view can be used but it is not allowed to be used.When creating a new View Version / Downstream the view should not be available.Thank you for your support.RegardsStefan Petras

The situation we are currently in is as follows.   1. PDMLINK 10.2 is built using SQL Server 20082. Customer will buy new server as Windows 20123. Plan to transfer existing data (SQL2008 & PDMLINK) after new server(windows 2012) is buy   So we have to back up the existing data and move it to the new server.What documents should I refer to?   There are also questions.1. When transferring data from the server, should the existing server and the new server be the same?Ex 1-1. OS environment should be the same?      1-2. PDM environment should be the same? (Product, library, repository, member, etc.) 2. Do I have to be in the same environment to migrate data when using SQL Server?Ex.
