I'm using Windchill 10.2 M030-CPS04 and have installed Creo View 3.0. I do not have a full version of Creo running on my computer. When selecting an assembly in Windchill a separate window opens with the following message: Install Creo View Client Stop Checking for New Versions It seems Windchill doesn't know Creo View is installed. Any ideas on how to resolve? Thanks.
Hi All, I am trying to code on Pickers where upon clicking on Find Picker icon for a field the user should be able to see Find Participant wizard opening up where the user will have a drop down to search either for users or groups. Upon searching for users/groups the user can see multiple results in the search results table and the user can select multiple users/groups and view the same in the field corresponding to the Find picker. So in case if any one is aware of the same I do request you all for a sample code or inputs regarding the same so that it could be helpful. Thanks in advance. Best Regards, Aditya
Hi, We'd like the Change Request workflow to set the state of the associated Problem Report to something else than "Accepted". We've already 'streamlined' PR workflow so that all PRs go to state "Accepted" directly. If a PR won't proceed to CR it's set manually to Rejected. However, if CR is made then the PR state is still "Accepted" and therefore more difficult to see which are in process and which are new. I know, you're asking why not use the Open state for PRs... well, just too much of clicking for the Problem Report Analyzer. So, is there a way to set up a robot in Change Request workflow to tell the associated PR to go to certain state in the Life Cycle? And of course in the end to Resolved as it is already defined.
Please see attached screenshot. Is there a way of customising a tab on a promtion request that means the approver/owner can easily look down the list of drawings/models and see which ones have been marked up - without having to rely on subscriptions filling your mail inbox, or going in to each file and checking for saved annotations? Many thanks, Dan
I have installed Oracle 11g, SID is Wind, and Oracle 12c, SID is Wind12, on the same computer. That works fine. and does not cause any issues when I use Windchill 10 and Windchill 11 from different servers. This is in an out-of-the-box installation setting with no production data. Now I want to do an upgrade to Windchill 11 of my production system on the same computer that is running Windchill 10. I am experimenting with a rehosted system. If I use a new loadpoint for Windchill 11, and a different Windchill name, like Windchill11, is that possible? It would make life simpler for my upgrade if I can. If I cannot do that, then I would need another server, which I do not have, nor the money to buy. Due to company policy, we do not run virtual servers on our production side of the house, which is a classified network with no internet access.
In the actual Approve Promotion Request task, the Requested Promotion State is not included in the attributes on the task page, but it does show up on the email notification. I put in a ticket but they said there is no way out of the box to add that attribute to the task. Bizzare. So I already put in a request to Product Ideas to get that functionality. In the mean time, can someone with java expression knowledge help me include this in the instructions of the task? I am not really clear on what I need to do for that. I did see someone posted something similar, but I'm not sure how I get this work. PromotionNotice pn=POB; String matuarityState=pn.getMaturityState().getDisplay()toString(); I add an expression robot on the workflow Approve Promotion Request task. On the Expression page, what do I write? Can someone help me out?

Hello all, As a Jr. Engineer at my current employer I am developing a search tool for fasteners that we have in-house and in WindChill. Due to the nature of the problem and the number of parts in WC, I would like have a "button" to my search tool that would allow me to add the part to my Workspace. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you
I've created a new product context and want to move existing data from one context to the new one. Is it possible to move an option pool from one context to another?

For some, we get no results. In all cases, the users are in the same Directory Server and the same Domain Server. Help please.
Hi all ! I'm currently develop an extract feature for my client. I have 3 use cases to make : - An export from a search - An export from a BOM - An export from a Where Used BOM I know how to get the data from this 3 use cases, but when I got my Query result with all of my object, how can I export them on CSV file ? I can hard code a CSV helper to hand made the export, but I hope there was an API to do it ! Do you have some clue ? Thanks, BR, Berthelin Benoit
We have a problem at my company where we have a lot of family parts. They family parts are all very similar sometimes and controlled by only a few parameters. The problem is when multiple engineers need to create a new iteration of the family. If I revise parts and the drawing to create my part and then another engineer creates a new revision over the top of my revision before I am ready to release. Now I have a drawing which I wanted to release at revision "B", but the family table and models are at Revision "C" because someone has revised the model and I accidentally updated my workspace. If I print the drawing it now includes the new parts in the family table and they are not mentioned in the title block because another engineer is working on revision above. Is there a way to restrict revisions to only released parts? I would be fine with including his part on my revision, but I want to prevent other engineers from leap-frogging
I started using my Query Builder report with Advanced search . I created a report using Part and Part Master tables to get Parent & Child report. Then used this report for Part type to get Part numbers using a particular child. example : find all Assemblies using a ROD with # 1234. This works good . Now i need to find out if there is a way to add more than one child part number example : find all Assemblies using ROD with # 1234 and Sleeve with # 5678 . Is this possible with a Query Builder Report and Advanced Search ?
After numerous attempts to rehost Windchill 10 with the Rehost Utility, I was finally able to get a working rehosted system. Still a few issues, but overall, it works. Let me start by describing my rehost procedure. Export the Oracle DB, copy the file vaults and the Windchill loadpoint folders to a neutral location or directly to your rehost systems. In my case I had already done a clean install of Oracle of Windchill, so I had the shortcuts already on my rehost system. On the Oracle server, I used the Oracle Database Configuration Utility to delete the WIND Db instance. Deleted the <Windchill_loadpoint>\ocu and PSI folders. Run PTC Solution Installer and do a standalone configuration of the Oracle DB. Import the exported Oracle DB from the production server into the rehosted server. On the Windchill server, I deleted the root PTC folder and copied the root PTC folder from my neutral location. That is all that is required for setup for the Rehost Utility. I defined all of

Hi all,we are trying to add some custom attributes to the ESI map file which will be gathered and added by a custom ESIWTPartRenderer's adjustPartElement() function. If we initiate a publish on a part, then everything works as expected: our custom code is called, we read out the needed data and set it as the specific attribute's value. The problem is, that if there is a link between a document and a part and I initiate the publish on the document (wan't the document, the related parts and the link in between to be published), then the part's custom renderer is not called... therefor the custom attribute won't get a value.Any ideas how to force the custom renderer to be called even in case of an indirect publishing of the part (publishing the document that has a link to the part).BR,Tamás
I am using some code in the confirmed transition for the Analyze Problem Report workflow task to auto-create the change request. It works and even links the new change request to the problem report. But it does not propagate the info from the problem report. Does anyone know how to do it? I tried setting the preference Change Information Propagation to Selected but it appears to only work in the UI. I want to do the same thing with the code that checking the box does in the UI.

Hi all! Does anyone have the idea why a cad MCAD publisher (server controlled -proeworker.bat) fails to publish some drawings when generating thumbnails or some of the sheets? In 90% of failed jobs, it's the thumbnail that fails. I've literally tried every possible solution there is in PTC Support site: - Installed Adobe Reader on each publishing server (which are separated from Windchill servers) - Fixed Adobe Reader Protected View - Checked which version of Adobe Reader is supported for Creo View Adapters 3.1 F000 - Set the worker daemon to run in interactive mode (it was running previously as a Windows service) - Setup larger timeouts (e.g. 7200 seconds in WVS.properties and in recipe files on publisher machines) - Reinstalled Creo View Acrobat plugin - Setting the "thumbnail.generator.extents" property to false - Setup a pvsthumb worker (also in server controlled publishing mode) on the publisher machines, even though I read that Creo View Adapter is not using pvsthumb worker for p
