Hi. Method wt.part.PartDocHelper.service.getAssociatedDocuments(WTPart wtPart) returns documents. Is there similar method thas returns all the same documents, but together with appropriate links? Thanks.

We have a requirement from a customer to federate data from our Windchill system to theirs. We have implemented some of their requirements, but now need to implement some additional transactions. Hello,   In defining a new workflow for a specific type of Variance, I need to set a conditional connector based on the Recurring attribute (being True (1) or False (0)).   The two questions I have are:   1) What would be suggested as the variable definition to bring in the Recurring attribute?   2) What would the Routing Expression for this be?  I would like the result for the routing events to be “CN” or “NO_CN”.   I am new to building workflows and appreciate examples that others would be willing to share.   Kelly

In the past, I was successful at using the Import/Export manager to take a library from one instances to another. It moved the latest iteration to the other system very well. There were limitations.  I could potentially see the movement of a Product area from one instance to another.  This product area includes change objects with workflows and discussion.  In addition, there is multiple versions, views, branchpoints and history that is there.  It can get very complex, very fast. Let's assume that library data and documents are in sync that are outside of this Product context and exist in both systems.  Can this be done?   My goal is to shift some Products to this new environment without having to lose all the historical records behind it.  Everytime I've seen projects like this done, they always seems to take latest or line in sand and throw away the history.  What's even worse, I might have to shift them back again in the future (merge).

I have installed creo view 4.1 on my pc, now I want to shared that installation on other pc's as a worldwide executable, I want something similar like a silent installation of creo 3 parametric. I want something to detect if creo view 4.1 is installed or not, then if not, an executable to install it. I know creo 3 parametric uses an xml to install. Any advice or examples will be great.   Creo View 4.1 is necessary to open up thumbnails in Windchill 11.

I created a new attribute for one object type in Windchill and then added an enumerated value list constraint to it with two values.   Modifying this object in Windchill now gives me the option to leave this property undefined (unset) or select one of the two list values. Selecting either of the values works fine, and switching between the values works fine, but I can't figure out how to go back to blank (undefined).  Even though there is a blank value displayed, attempting to return to pick it (after having previously selected a different value) is not being permitted.  Windchill just throws an error:   Is there any way around this?  I don't really want an extra "None" entry in my list because "None" and undefined are not the same thing and won't return the same results in a search.

I'm trying to do a "Synchronize On: Object Event" . Windchill Object: wf variable is Problem report  that has multiple Change requests associate with it.   Can anybody tell me how to customize this object event , so that the synch robot completes only when all the associated Change requests are resolved  

Hello to all, I'm installing windchill 11 on a machine but the db is on another server. During the PSI error: The directory that you selected for ORACLE_HOME does not exist or is invalid. My directory is: E: \ app \ oracle \ product \ 12.1.0 \ client_1 I have configured client oracles pointing to the oracle on the DB machine and relaunched the PSI installation but I still have the same error. I do not understand where I'm wrong and how to fix it. Can someone help me? Thanks Davide

Can get one to display and work but when adding a second, the first is removed. Wondering if anyone has done this and might have a "Cheat Sheet" on it.

I recently gave a presentation to my local CT user group. Getting to love PowerPoint 2010 and the narration feature. I was able to turn that presentation into a video. I'm currently on Windchill 10.2 with SQL Server 2008.  My goal is to get to Windchill 11.0 with SQL Server 2014 or 2016.   My question is, how do I upgrade the databse, either before I do the Windchill upgrade or during the Windchill upgrade?  The problem I am having is that when I go to import my backup from 2008 to either 2012 or 2014, it will not show as a viable choice to be chosen during a restore.  I know that I have to be missing something simple.   Thank you, Brian

Hi, I would like to develop few utilities using WWGM Toolkit. Currently i have "WWGM Toolkit, Version: WC11" along with Visual Studio 2015. I am new and trying to run the "wwgmtk_hello_world" program.   I am getting linker error LNK1561 when i compile it. I have also not used to C++. How do i get started. I am unable to run the test programs.  Also would like to know if it is possible to use VB or C# to develop WWGM Toolkit, if yes how to get started.
