We are in the process of rolling out wtpart centric PLM. To do that we are mapping CAD Documents to wtParts and also the Dynamic Document (Arbortext) Assembly Instructions.The problem is that the Assembly Instructions can revise without revising the wtpart and or CAD Document. When that happens the Content relationship from the wtpart to the Dynamic Document is broken.The workaround is to iterate the wtPart and restructure the Part to the Dynamic Document. This is world be inefficient.Wondering if anyone has experience publishing the content from Arbortet dynamic document as the primary file of a wtDocument?The reason is to use the Reference Document link to the wtPart that would enable the link between the wtPart and wtDocument regardless of Version of each.

I got a weird one for you guys, I've searched and searched and come up empty so far.We have a CAD worker set up for visualization on a Windchill 10.2 / ProIntralink 8.x server.The CAD worker properly grabs the PROE_FoundationVIS license when it starts up, but every time it tries to publish a file, it also requests one of our Intralink_8_0 licenses as well. This then prevents one of our 4 users from connecting to Windchill. If the case is that all of our Intralink licenses are used up, the CAD worker publishing fails. Hello Folks,I worked on a listener which attaches a document to the part in "references" table.The scenario is once a document is attached ito a part as described by document then the same document should go to references table (of that part )also.I used the POST_CHECKIN listener and it tells part cannot be checedout as this is not the latest iteration.I even obtained the working copy of teh part then tried to modify.But this works only when the part is checkedout again not in the same checkout.Any one has any idea on which listener i can use so that if a part is checked out to attach a document in described by then taht document should get attached in references also. I really need help with this. It bugs me. When I go to open certain things (drawings, assemblies, whatever) I am given the pop up window that says "This object is read only as it is not checked out" and gives me a list of things to check out. I can find no rhyme or reason to what it wants me to check out. For instance, right now, I am trying to open a drawing of an assembly. The drawing is in a released state, the assemblies in the drawing are in released states. All I want to do is open the drawing. Why on earth would I be asked to check out two (not all, just two) of the sub assemblies?Any clues, hints, nudges in the right direction would be hugely appreciated. I'm sure there's some logic, I'm just completely missing it.

I have gone through <WT_Home>\codebase\wt\clients\saveas<WT_Home>l\src\com\ptc\windchill\uwgm\cadx\saveas these directories and tried to modify but I am not able to see any modifications even after restarting windchill server each time after modification. I am completely new to windchill customization, all your suggestions and recomendation will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Just ran into a SolidWorks drawing with some GTOL's.  Parts of each missing when viewed in Creo View for some users, but not others.Turns out those who saw correctly have AutoCAD installed.  Seems that we need all to have the correct gdt_____.ttf file under C;/Windows/Fonts.Publishing / Viewing SolidWorks is becoming a bigger and more complex puzzle every day.  Might revisit seeing if we can get .plt output to work.

Don't ask why but I'm in need of code that can be applied in a workflow expression robot that counts the number of affected objects on a promotion request (technically the "promotion targets.").  Need to branch the workflow if above a certain number.Getting stuck trying to make it work - would appreciate any suggestions.thanks in advance

Need some help.We have Dynamic Document users who need to check where a Task is used on Publications.By default, the Where used shows all parent items. The trouble is that they need to go to each item to confirm it's the latest version.To make things complicated, we use the same State for the all previous official versions.C: Released for Production          Does not use TaskB: Released for Production          Uses the TaskI can filter to View to only show a state if we only had one version at "Released for Production" if we set the previous to something like superseded or obsolete.

All,Is it possible to point/modify an existing CAD Document Template to point to a new revision of our start parts? When creating the original CAD Document templates I noticed that I was forced to name them slightly different that the Creo model that I selected for that template. In the example below, I removed the letter "a" from the word part in the template name.Creo model (our start parts in our library) = start_part.prt  rev ACAD Document Template name = start_prt.prt Now we created a rev B of our Creo model and would like to update the CAD Document template to recognize the new revision.Is it possible or do I need to create new templates?

My primary business object changes state just fine but cannot get my resulting objects to change state.  I done the instructions per CS124047, PTC Windchill help Change management transitions and refine and revise and still no luck getting the resulting objects to change state.  Any ideas?I have tried with all three lines, one each and the first two together.Thanks advanceEd

HiOn occasions the creation of a promotion request can produce an error due to the checks build in there. The user does get an error task in this case but if he does not verify his homepage he is under the impression that the promotion request went through and waits for approval. It should be good if he would get a pop-up box informing him that an error task exists for the just created pr.RegardsBernard

I may have posted this before - don't recall.  Haven't been able to get help from PTC tech support.Would like to have a simple report that shows for an input list of formats (.frm), all the drawings which reference the format.  This is exactly what is displayed for a Format object on the Related Objects tab, Referenced By table.  Note: From this table, there is no export list to file, which is the main reason we'd like to have this report..Seems like it would be very simple but I haven't figured it out yet.thanks in advance

I need to add constraints to the Promotion Request so we can add only few objects as its promotables. I checked the Relationship constraints manager but do not get the PromotionTarget object to select.
