What is the scenario/use case when to use New Downstream View and New Downstream branch? 

Hey everyone,I am a beginner with Windchill and have a question about getting query data from the PTC Windchill server and directly pushing the information to Power BI.I've been doing some research and have seen some other posts on this website mentioning the use of the REST API, however I have not seen a definitive solution to this.My question is if anybody has done this integration if they can share how they have done it or give me some pointers? Thanks in advance.

Hi team,Lastest WTPart and related WTPartMaster already available in windchill. we need to create new old revision of the same WTPart.ex.Existing Part Master - AB12CD and available WTpart revision in the partmaster is 3.2 need to create old Part revision - 0.1, 1.1, 2.1 i try to revise the lasted part and set the revision to the old revison getting below errorError: Cannot change revision of Part - AB12CD, NEWREVDATANAME, ORGNAME, 4.1 (Engineering) to target revision 2. Please share any API or Java code to create the old revision for the existing part. Thanks,Mathivanan

Version: Windchill 11.2 Use Case: Wondering if there is a way to tell Creo/Windchill that a component in an assembly is not to show in the BOM structure.Description: I am trying to get an accurate BOM to take directly to Syspro MRP. We don't use WT parts at this time so looking for a solution without WT parts if possible. We currently export a CSV of the multi-level structure report from Windchill and import this into Syspro. This method works great until we have components in the CAD assembly that we don't want to show in Syspro. Then we have to manually go through and clean things up. Would be great if a part could be set to not show in the BOM- whether that is from within Creo or within Windchill . We use Creo 8.0.10.0 and Windchill 11.2.1.0 Thanks!Matt

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.0.2I need someone to set up mail forwarding from windchill to clients on our system.

I am trying to setup a Sandbox runtime environment for DevOps . Our windchill has 1000s of Product and Libraray , Context , Folder, Template , Team , Policies  . As Dev/Test environment cloning is a costly affair in terms on infrastructure and Cloud maintenance , we want to setup a vanilla 12.0 server and load data through LoadFromFile . Is thee any mechanism we have to  get all the administrative data in XML ?  My runtime env version is same as Dev/Test I can use a java code and QuerySpec , however looking for a loader that can be  optimized and have all necessary dependency 

I'm using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 CPS M020-CPS14, and I'm trying to install WGM. However, it fails to install WFS. When I try to run the WFS MSI installation, I get a "Could not open key" error. Do you know how I can fix this error?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.0.0Hello! I'm encountering an issue during development.I'm using TableBuilder to create a table where one column displays radio buttons and another column shows text input fields for user input. However, when the table exceeds a few hundred rows, the selected radio buttons and input text disappear after scrolling. I suspect this is caused by Ext.js re-rendering the table and not preserving the modified states of the radio buttons and input fields, but I’m unsure how to fix this.If you’ve faced similar issues or have a solution, I’d greatly appreciate your advice. I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.1.01. I wanted to Configure addtional Worker for Solidworks (Server PCs are different)2. Version: Windchill 13.0   Use Case: I added an expression robot to one of our ECN workflows and noticed that it sometimes stalls out, not allowing the workflow to progress. Is it possible to somehow skip this expression robot in the workflows that are stalled so that the rest of the ECN workflow can progress to resolution? Description: I wrote a custom bit of code into an expression robot to extract and put into a workflow variable the WTPart dispositions so that these can be emailed downstream to other parts of the company. Some of the workflows seem to stall out on this expression robot.    Is it possible to "un-stall" the workflows that are stuck here? Ideally, I'd just move on to the next item - ECN Approved email?    I'm reviewing the code in the interim but would like the handful of ECNs that are stuck here to get through to resolution.

Version: Windchill 13.0   Use Case: Determine the lifecycle associated with an object in Windchill. Description: We have multiple Lifecycles from the original administrator and I'm trying to find which ones have been used by objects so I can reduce the number of old lifecycles. Is there a method to do a search in Windchill by Lifecycle to return which objects it is associated with? My second possible search would be in the Oracle tables but I don't really have any idea where to start with them in SQLDeveloper. I do have a test system that I can play with so all my production data is safe.

Has anyone set your WC environment to have some users using Basic Authentication and some users using SSO?There is a PTC KB article said it is doable, but it did not provide the steps.Has anyone done ever done with this kind of configuration?

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: I want to have an Indicator in EBOM which informs if the EBOM was created completely from CADBOM (using auto associate or edit associate actions in workspace) & it should also allow me to understand if EBOM was created manually and then linked to CADBOM.Description: We have a situation that quality of the current EBOM is by far better than that of the 3D model. When someone want to Sync changes from CADBOM to EBOMs, then people should understand that EBOM was not created from CADBOM and thereby have a more detailed/critical look on these EBOMs in particular.
