Good afternoon   I am running Creo flow analysis with a heat air coolant heat exchanger. However when I try to run the model after meshing I receive a dialog box that states "bad allocation". What does this mean exactly? 

Hello, I use Creo 4, in the drawing when I move a note or a bubble, there are always positioning constraints that appear, is there a way to disable this function? Someone can help me ?   thanks  

In Creo Ansys Simulation thermal, the "Shell" in Idealizations in mechanical can be activated. But the "Shell" in Idealizations in thermal cannot be activated. How to use "shell" m in thermal module?

Creo Parametric 7.0.4.0we recently upgraded to 7.0.4.0, my older version I was able to move mechanisms by hitting Ctrl+Alt+Left Mouse which was very convenient this new version does not allow me to do this, is there a setting somewhere to fix this or is it gone from the new version?

My group is working on a water bottle project and we need to simulate the thermal conduction of our water bottle design. Our teacher suggested that we "use water in the bottle", but we can't find anything to show us how to do that. Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi there, I've been trying to use the flow analysis in Creo 6 to model a relatively simple lubrication system, however my tessellation is filled with holes and producing meshes that are in a word: chaotic. I'm fairly confidant this the source of the errors in my results as having been over it several times I've been unable to find anything else that looks amiss. Below are a couple of images to help clarify the problem. An example of the tessellation around the input: An example of a mesh over the whole system:   If anyone has an advice as to how to correct this, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am getting very poor meshing results. Some regions are plenty of spurious holes where no mesh is defined, and I end up with many subfeatures. I believe this issue is a consequence of using a coarse tessellation, but I find no way of changing it.   In fact, the help does not mention the difference between "Simulation" and "Regular" tessellation. I have found that regular tessellation does not produce interfaces between contact regions and is, therefore, useless for heat transfer problems. While the regular tessellation allows changes in "chord heights" and "angle controls", the simulation tessellation does not. It gives a rather coarse result that I need to refine.   Please, help.   

Dear Creo Simulate users (unfortunately a shrinking class)    I am trying to evaluate vibration induced stress in an assembly, but I do not have much background in this area, especially with Creo Simulate. Thus I am learning it with a simple model.   I am using as guideline the good presentation “Linear Dynamic System Analyses with Creo Simulate” by Roland Jakel. It contains a nice background but still not enough for my case.   I would like to simulate an unconstrained assembly and sweep a frequency. In this condition (unconstrained modal analysis) Creo Dynamic frequency analysis only accept load input.   As load input I chose to use acceleration. I can choose that the gravity stays constant for the entire frequency range (uniform) or it increases as the frequency increases, converting frequency and amplitude in acceleration using the function a = -(2*Pi*Freq)^2 * wave amplitude.   The procedure in Creo has some tricks but I think I could manage it. Hi all,   I have a few general questions about an analysis I'm attempting.  I'd like to determine the natural frequencies of an (IC) engine isolation system.  The engine and associated components are mounted on typical cylindrical rubber isolators that are connected to the chassis.     My plan is as follows:   1. Setup the engine as a point mass at the CG location of the engine with the mass moments of inertia. 2. Create points for the start and end of the isolators. 3. Connect the point mass to the isolator ends using rigid links. 4. Determine the rubber isolator properties and set up springs with those. 5. Run a pre-stress static to determine the deflection/stiffness of the system under the effect of gravity. 6. Use that to do the modal analysis to determine the natural frequencies of the system.   It seems pretty straightforward but I want to make sure I don't miss anything.

Hi all,   I am running an idealized engine isolator assembly.  There are 3 isolators used to support the engine with the front (flywheel) side of the engine having angled isolators and rear isolator being oriented vertically.  The isolators are modeled as springs with extensional stiffness.  I have my engine sub as a lumped mass with moments of inertia.  There is an external belt pulley force applied as well.  The belt force and lumped mass are connected via rigid links to one end of each spring.  The other end of the spring is connected to a constraint with all 6 DOFs locked.  I've run a static analysis to determine the axial force in the spring as well as a modal analysis and a prestress modal analysis.  I have a couple questions that come from the results I am seeing.    1. My natural frequencies and mass participation factors do not change between a standard modal analysis and a pre-stress modal using my static analysis.

Hi, I downloaded Creo 4.0 student edition a few days ago and had no problems, I even used it an hour ago and had no problems. I just tried using creo again and when I try to open creo I get the error - "Unable to get required Creo Simulate license. Please contact your sales representative." Haven't found much online so I thought i'd ask here. Any help is appreciated.

Using Creo 4 M130.   I ran an optimization study in Creo Simulate.  I have several measures that I would like to export to use externally.  Currently, the only method I can find to get the data is to make a graph then "Save a backup" of the graph to Excel.   Is there a more efficient way to do this?   I would also be satisfied if any one can tell me if there is a trick to get more than one set of data on one graph.  The UI looks like it should be possible, but I can't figure it out.   Thanks, Nick (We should be going to Creo 7 this year, so even a example in a newer version would be helpful)

In Creo 6.0.4.0 I can run Live Simulation without any problems but in Creo 7.0.2.0 I can only assign constraints and loads as the Simulate 'button' is locked. Without adding floating license the constraint and loads icons including Simulate icons are greyed out. Anyone experienced this issue.

I am using Creo Simulate 3.0 M110I would like to perform a mechanical simulation on a part. I put a displacement on a surface and 2 forces on 2 different points.There are no other parts, so I didn't set any interface.I tried to run a Static analysis, linear, multipass, with the constraints and forces selected.It ends abnormally and say: "The design study terminated abnormally. The model is insufficiently constrained for the analysis. Please review the element connections, properties, and constraints. If this is a modal analysis, then you may be able to obtain a solution by requesting additional modes.The unconstrained degree of freedom can be seen by running a constrained Modal Analysis with rigid mode search. Animating the rigid modes will display the unconstrained degrees of freedom. If the error still occurs, then the issue could be caused by material properties or unattached spring/mass idealizations."But when I try to run the modal analysis it seems to freeze.What I can do?Here ar

Hi peoples ,   Iam sure most of you would have performed analysis on (ISO-15818) lifting and tying down using analysis tools. I would like to know how did you set up your model for tying down analysis in creo simulate. In real time for tying your truck/loader to trailer technicians will be using chain or rope, how are you replicating the same in your FEA thru spring or beam. Please specify the properties of spring and beam which ever you are using.   Do you run two load case for longitudinal & transverse or any other simplest way.   Appreciate your time and thanks in advance. Hello experts,   In Creo, when I do analysis of the part, the deformation is very high but the maximum stress in the component is less than the material's yield stress. Even when I increase the loads so much that the software gives error of very high deformation, the maximum stress is still less than the material's yield stress. Any explanations?    Here I have chosen the material S355 of lugs (front plate) and applied force 194.5 kN at 45 degree at the top corner. here i attched my assembly file. my yield stress is 328 Mpa while S355 yield stregth is 345Mpa. but i dont under stand deformation is 68mm which is very high.     Is there a smart solution to this problem?

When applying fasteners (non-preloaded screws) to this model, strange stress results occur (see below). From what I can tell the fasteners where applied in a similar manner. So, I would expect their reactions to be the same. I have seen this behavior before on other types of fasteners (i.e. preloaded bolts). Any thoughts on where I could be making a mistake?

Dear Forum , I'm a french teacher an I used to use CREO 5.0.3.0. I built a course about fastener design and calculs and I would like to show to students the link between calculus ans simulation , for introduce parameters to the students , I've chosen to use a simple model , 2 parts joined with a blot  When I perform a simulation with a axial force I find the same results as the calculation (I've join the PDF in french )    Now I want to perform a simulation with a tangential force ,    And now It's more complexe,  I Anchor the pink part , I apply a tangentiel force (500 N) on the yellow part .  This is  bolt définition with a preload of 8000 N        I define a interface with a infinite friction and a friction indicator at 0.5      the analyse settings    and here are all the results    Result analyse : to do simple , the preload is 8000 and the indicator is 0,5 , in theory the max tang

In Relation we can access to some parameters of Mechanism features like friction in Connection (see pictures)  but not for Cams, 3D Contact, Gears & Belt parameters, is there a work around? Could it be added in a futur release of Creo
