Here's my structure (Styler 5.4):<condtinsp><inspection><condition></condition><req></req></inspection><inspection><condition></condition><req></req></inspection><inspection><condition></condition><req></req></inspection><inspection><condition></condition></condtinsp>I want to number the condition tags but only if they have content (they have no title so making them a Formal Block didn't help) with the XPATH count(../preceding::condition) + 1I created a content test condition for the XPATH on <condition> in Styler so only the non-empty conditions are numbered, but the counter is incrementing on the empty conditions. So the first three numbered <condition>s are numbered 1, 9, 10 because there are 8 empty conditions following the first numbered one.I don't know how to keep the empty <conditions> from incrementing the counter, or if th

We have a numerical index being generated, but the numbers are in sequential order sort of. We have a mixture of 4, 5, 6 digit part numbers the 6 digit numbers are listed first in sequential order, then it displays the 5 digit numbers in sequential order, then it displays the 4 digit numbers in sequential order, then it does the few alphabetic entries that are in it. Where do you change it, or can you even change it? In styler I have found the indexes tab, and from there checked out the formating tab. I did not see anywhere to make these adjustments. I also found sfe:indexAlphaGroup_Main_Index, also did not see anywhere to make these adjsutments.

Currently Arbortext and ACM fail to update the dependent topics contained in a DITA map or DITA bookmap to the latest version in the content management system if other users have updated a dependent topic since the last time the current user has opened that topic themself. This seems to be a failure to adhere to at least the spirit of DITA, if not an full-fledged failure to support the standard.Users should be able to open a DITA bookmap and select File > Update Object and have an open to have all dependent objects updated, as well.

Je rencontre actuellement un problème sur la publication PDF d’un document SGML au sein de l’éditeur Arbortext Editor version 5.4. Nous avons mis en place une feuille de style de publication réalisée avec le standard XSL-FO. Une des contrainte, imposées par notre client, est que le document PDF se termine systématiquement sur une page paire. Can I get some +1s?Maybe you haven't seen it yet. But when you display a solution, a dialogpop-up appears OVER the solution. You can "minimize" it so just thedialog's title bar shows. You can't move it. It obscures the content of thesolution. Argh! You *can* scroll the solution up and down "under" thedialog to see the content.Annoying. I am currently filling out every dialog with "MAKE THIS GO AWAY"or some such. I should probably be more Zen and find a productive approach,but well, I'm not feeling it yet.The truth is, I normally feel very generous to PTC Support and often willtake post-case surveys or complete questionnaires. I would happily completethis one, honestly, if it would display in an area that didn't obscure thevery content I'm trying to read. As you may have seen in a previous post, I just moved my print license to support Epic 6.0. I always LOVE application updates. This is no exception. I took a file I know was working and printing in Epic 5.4 and tried to print it using Epic 6.0. Well lo and behold. It FAILED. A few (well more than a few) well chosen words on this. Same file, same style sheets file publishes in 5.4 and fails in 6.0. Seems there are one or more tables whose width exceeds some predescribed value. Of course the error does not specify which of the tables is the culprit. Back to the drawing board. So folks be advised there are some deltas between 5.4 and 6.0 that may cause printing issues. 😞Lynn

I have an older license (grandfathered thank heaven) for print composer with my 5.4 (and previous) installations. I now have to do some testing of print output using Epic 6. Does anyone know if I install the Epic 6 print composer license how it will impact my 5.4 license? Typically I am allowed one fixed and one portable license with each license. As most of the work I support still is in support of 5.4 users. I am hesitant to make the switch if I lose my 5.4 functionality. Any help on this one would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Lynn

Dear adapter,We have recently upgraded our ArborText Editor version for 5.4 to 6.0. In 6.0, when I click Help menu of the editor, it shows the attached error message. We tried all possible avenues to find the root cause of the error but we could not able to nail down this issue.Karthik

We have an issue with Isodraw not sure where the problem is.We have a jt file that is exported from SE ST3. We open our pre sized template and place the image on the standard layer in isodraw. We then rotate it to the view that is required, convert to 2D, scale and move it to fit on our template. Convert back to 3D. The model will rotate again with out any user input. If the user places a second assembly on the standard layer, when he goes to 2D, then back to 3D the second model will move and rotate itself also. We have also had this happen just opening an iso file, using the cut command then, rotating, then 3D to 2D and back causes it to rotate all crazy again.Any suggenstions would be great.Bryon

In Arbortext Editor automatic character substitution is working when we press hypen(-) key. first time it appears - and continue pressing endash and emdash will appear.I want to modify the scenario. First time "-" second time key press then "endash". No more emdash.Is it possible? could you please guide me.Note. I know "ElementOption" in DCF to switch character substitution. But it is switched off the feature.

We're in the process of installing this on approximately 200 workstations and have begun receiving sporadic reports of users being unable to access the Help files either by using the F1 key or via the Arbortext Editor Help menu.On the PCs where this fails, the user receives an HTTP Error 500. I managed to discover that the Help file dialog that opens is trying to access this address--http://127.0.0.1:62174/index.jspx?id-help7550&action-. No other pattern has been detected for the PCs this is happening on. Our environment is primarily Windows XP with a handful of Windows 7 PCs.Has anyone else run into this issue or know of a possible resolution? Thanks.

I am currently starting a Arbortext pilot with our current PDMlink installation. We are running PDM Link 9.1 M060 and Arbortext 6.0 M040. It is a straight up installation and I am trying to upload default burst configuration files to a Library in PDM Link.In Arbortext I can do the save as server object operation with no errors but the atidefaults.bcf never shows up in the library. I am able uploadsmaple dynamic docs no problem. Anyone used the new schematron abilities? I'm trying to utilize the <include> tag in a schematron file, but run into problems when I try it with a relative path.I have the main schematron file in the custom/doctype directory and I want to point to file in another directory under the custom directory, like this:<include href="../../schematron/diagnostics.sch"/">I got it to work with the full path, like this:<include href="C:/Projects/XXXXX/custom/schematron/diagnostics.sch"/">I've tried the relative path as being relative from the main schematron file and also from the xml document being validated.Any ideas? We are having a really tough problem with fragments (file entities) --I really hope someone out there can help.Backgound- 1 long file containing many commands (this is a Command Reference document)- Size of file was causing merges (through ClearCase) to be very slow- We decided to break into fragments -- 1 fragment per command.- Did this by selecting the ch2 element and Entity > Create FileFragment from Selection- Added all fragments to source control- So far so good, and we noticed our merge times were much improvedProblem- Now, from time to time, when someone is editing a fragment (likeadding a Comment, for example), the fragment suddenly "thinks" it's acomplete document, and adds a doc element, metadata, and a TOC andreports (of course) context errors.- This seems to happen when the following sequence occurs: Editoropens fragment, makes a change, saves and closes the fragment, reopensthe fragment, and then tries to make another change.- The issue means that the container file (th

Hi Ed-- You could do it that way, by using the "modify_tag"document callback toattach a dlgitem callback to the "OK" button on the modify attributesdialog. You could also use the AOM to add an event listener to the document forthe DOMAttrModified event. That would let you take some action in theevent of a particular element having a particular attribute value set,no matter how the change is made (via Modify Attributes dialog or viascript). I think the examples in the customizer's guide should also be availablein the HTML portion of the Help Center, as well as the PDF. When we install arbortext editor we have Documentum connect option available to connect to the webtop and similarly we can have PDMlink connection through arbortext editor. So my concern is can we have these two options available in arbortext editor at the same time? i.e. both menus should be present on menubar when we open arbortext editor.Is it possible??Please have a look at the attached mockup.ThanksNitu

Hi All,We're using Arbortext Editor 6.0 (F0000) with a number of customisations, including the 'Save' button. Some of our users are reporting that after they've clicked on 'Save' regularly whilst working for a couple of hours they close Arbortext and then find that none of their changes have been saved. The save location is a networked folder that has two physical locations with replication between them. I'm assured that this is working correctly.I would like to know how I can add a log file (local, per user) that I can write to from our custom ACL code so ican get an audit trail of what happens when a user clicks on 'Save'.Any suggestions much appreciated.Thanks in advance,Keith

Does anyone know how I can go about adding to the current toolbars OR creating a custom toolbar of our macros?We are running AE 5.4.
