Hi,First time I have opened a XML file I was asked to browse  for a XML Schema or a DTD. I selected a DTD, but it was the wrong DTD file.Now I want to select another DTD file for my XML file. But I can't find any option to select a new DTD, and every time I open a XML file it has the first selected DTD, which is wrong!How can I select a new DTD for my XML files?Thank you

Hi:Our writers are using Arbortext 6.1 M060. Is there some setting or customization available to turn off linktext elements when using Preview Link Text for link lists? Selecting Insert Preview Link Text in DITA preferences works fine for xrefs, but not for links in linklists.The following link structure in link lists is a bug as inserting <? type statements in <linktext> will logically render an empty link in DITA processors like DITA OT, which will then have nothing to link, generating empty Related Topics sections (I have confirmed this):<link format="dita" href="SomeFile.dita" scope="local" type="concept"><linktext><?Pub _previewtext text="Some Title or Text"?></linktext></link>This is basically saying "insert emptiness" for the link text as the DITA processor will ignore <? type statements by design.The form should be without linktext:<link format="dita" href="c_Customizing_ribbons_and_Quick_Access_toolbars_aw1163702.dita" scope="local"

I have several word documents with the typical content (text, tables, figures). My goal would be to automagically convert these word documents into structured text, which could then be formatted into html. How can i import a word document into arbortext (do i need a separate import/export tool or something like that)? I have a trial license and i only see the arbortext editors in my start menu, no import tool.

I am trying to make changes to the keydef list. Specifically, I am trying to change the name of an existing keydef. When I make the change in the navtitle I can check the file back into Windchill. When I try to make a change to the href or the topicmeta conref I get an error when I try to check in the file.Note: I had to rename the folder and the object in Windchill. So I need the keydef to recognize that both have changed, not just the object name.Thanks

I am using Arbortext 7.0 F000 and obtaining the annoying Debug Message window every time I paste jpeg graphics into my document.I have been using Arbortext 7.0 for over three months now and this started happening on the morning of 4 April 2016. I work offline. The error in the Debug Message window reads "add_psv: Cannot insert page reference due to invalid saveref". I see no saveref preference or value in advanced Preferences. I set the pastesource preference to blank "fix" reported in the post by Steven Powell Apr 29, 2014 12:10 PM, however this did not work.Any recommendations?

Hi everyone,Is it possible to have information from a table linked throughout a document?In other words, if I enter data into the first table (see highlighted content in attached PDF) and I want to have multiple tables inherit that same data, is it possible to setup the tables where I only have to enter the data once in the first table?I've included an editor view to show how the table is entered in Arbortext (see attached PNG file).

Hi all,I'd like to get the local path of a file (a graphic entity) added to the CMS. The Java technical documentation states that CMSSessionPutFile / CMSSessionPostPutFile events are here for that. Hi, I can insert a PDF file as chapter in a map.But, when I publish the map with Arbortext Styler, just the name of the PDF file appear, and not the content of the file...My question is : Normal or not ??And if not, how can I do to have the content?Thanks.Hugues

I'm having trouble figuring out how to pass an attribute value to a simple acl function that formats and returns the value to save it to a variable. Hi guys,in arbortext editor 7.0 we would like to dock (right) the Modify-Attributes Dialog:For our users it would be very helpful, to modify attributes of the current tag always in a docked attribute window.Our aim is to dock this window, and update the element, so that every attribute of that clicked element can be changed very fast.Therefore our plan was to reload this window if the oid_tag has changed. We tried to find this dialog as xml to try to dock this, but without success.Do you have any other idea to realize this feature?Thank you in advance for your help.Greetings from Germany

Hi,I am looking for a solution in Arbortext Isodraw 7.3, Currently i am using Arbortext Isodraw 7.3 to explode 3d models and converting it into 2d, the problem here is after converting the 3d model into 2d the elements are getting miss.For Example : The ellipse and the lines are not joining well. Pls see the attached file and kindly give me a positive reply of this question.

Until Arbortext 7 there used to be toolbar button "Insert Equation", but in 7.0 there is no such button. Can someone tell me how can i have it back? FYI:There are some other toolbar button also that are missing in 7.0

Can someone explain why a new option appears in the New Dialog when connected to Windchill? Can it be suppressed?The Windchill instance is SIM 10.2 M030.Thanks.

I am working in Arbortext 7 M010 and I have a small ACL file that globs a dir, runs doc_open and window_create, then runs get_composer(), inserts values for the stylesheet and outputFile params in the pdf.ccf, then calls compose::compose_for_pdf().The problem I am having is when the first call to compose_to_pdf is made, it reports back that the doctype is not installed on the PE server, despite the fact that I know it is (opening a globbed doc regularly allows me to publish through PE just fine).Has anyone seen this?  I've restarted PE services, rescanned composition, did the PE compare, did flush_composer, I'm not seeing why opening a doc with doc_open/window_create/doc_show causes the doctype to not be seen on the PE server.thanks,-Jason

Hi,if we would like to modfiy attributes of the markup, where the cursor is placed in, the Arbortext Editor shows the attributes of the wrong element.You can see this in this example:The cursor is inside the tag "para" but the modify attribute dialog shows the attribute dialog of the element "emphasis".Our expectation is that the editor shows the attributes of "para", because the cursor is inside this element.Can we change this behaviour? Maybe with a set-command? Or is this a bug of the arbortext editor?Thank you for your help in advance.Greetings from Germany.

We want to load Arbortext Editor onto a server and have users RDP onto the server and use Arbortext Editor. Currently i have a floating license which allows one person, can i get a floating license that allows multiple people.

When Inserted as new markup "Table" only the tags is displayed but it does not ask for any no of rows or coloumn.

Hello,I have a problem with resolution of href attribute on a topicref element in Arbortext editor (v6.1 M070). The problem is not present with v6.1 M000.When I have this url "../../../Temp/StructureTopics/pr%C3%A9face.dita" on my topicref it's possible to open the topic from my dita book map.But when I resolve the map (for modify style), AE is not able to retrieve dita file. I have this message " Pseudo rubrique : DITA Topic \"file:/_ATI_Not_Found_/../../../Temp/StructureTopics/pr%C3%A9face.dita\" introuvable"In the href attribute, if I replace "%C3%A9" by a "é" (../../../Temp/StructureTopics/préface.dita) I don't have the problem.Does it exist a parameter in AE to manage specific characters in url ?Thanks.
