Hello Everyone,I need a UNC thread no listed in the drop down for threaded holes. I have browsed through several searches on the subject, found the UNC.HOL file, opened it as text - but that's as far as i've gotten. Can I add to it? If so, what do I have to open it with in order for it to appear correctly (right now it's just a seeminly endless string of text)?ThanksMAC

Hi,How to save a file with its name in upper case letters?Whenever we try to open a new file and name it with upper-case letters and if I save, its getting saved in lower case.Any idea about how to do this?--Dhinesh

One of the users is using mechanica and wants to know how to display a meshhe just created. Can someone point to me to the setting. I recall a modewhere one can see surfaces is Blue, edges in black and nodes in yellow toreview the mesh.regards,Alfonso

When opening CREO 1.0 M040 everything seems to come up ok but it appears locked and does not respond to any commands. Can't find any open dialog boxes or anything to indicate that it is waiting for user input. It won't do anything no matter what button or menu I try to select. It is just locked up only option is to kill it via task manager. Worked fine on Friday!

I was making some rooms and I could have sworn that the Photolux scenes at least displayed their image in a room rendering.Now when I open one fo the Photolux rooms, I get a bunch of gray walls.What happened? Or am I just imagining that I once saw these?Also, what is the little "+" button do in the option/system library dialog window?

Does anyone know how to do this?Instead of using a sketch for a molded-in logo I want to use a font. This gives the ability to change (scale) the image after it's in the model. Also, I can prevent sombody from changing any of the numerous dimensions, as thereare none with a font. Another problem with using a sketch; I have one chance to get the scale right, if not you have to delete it and try again.Thanks

We are a Windchill 10.0 M030 Setup featuring a 4 node Microsoft Cluster running SQL and on top of that, all virtual. This is what we have learned during an exhausting week recently of sporadic downtimes and headaches. ALL of my data comes from Microsoft themselves, here. Our servers belong to many groups and this was the fix. A real head scratcher folks. It also remedied an issue where we would receive an email about a vault being offline due to loss of communication. Thanks,

Does anyone know how to change the font resolution when engraving? I use the "font" in the drop down menu which gives the text single line to follow when using a single point tool. The problem from an aesthetic point of view is that when the font gets large say .500"or larger the round curves of say a "0" or "P" ect. get pointed or not a nice round look to them. Is there a way to change the smoothing of the line somehow? Tried to with no luck.Thanks,Jeff

We have been using Pro/E and now Creo for over 15 yrs. There is now some push from corporate for us to switch to CATIA. I need to get a list of reasons and advantages to stay with Pro/E and to not switch to CATIA. Hopefully some of you out there have experience with both and can speak to the differences between the two packages.All information would be helpful.Thanks!

Does anyone know what the process nmsd.exe is for, and can I turn it off? I have tried to play with the setting in my .psf; ENV=NMSD_TIMEOUT=300 to reduce the value assuming this was seconds? I thought by changing the value the nmsd process would stop after I close Pro/E. However when I change this value, I start to see some strange behaviour in Pro/E. I have a workflow which is moving my folder to a server, however I have to wait for the nmsd.exe to stop to be able to move the folder. It seems to be related to the std.out, I'm not sure what this is doing.

How long should it take to upgrade your out-of-date Pro/E maintenance from the time they have your money and the time you are issued codes?I signed and provided payment for bringing my maintenance up to date on May 15th, 2012. I received a payment receipt as of May 16th, 2012.I -finally- received my Software Order Fulfillment Confirmation on May 25th, 2012 after making a significant number of calls to PTC and starting many service requests on that day. And then I am told that it will again take several days to get my new codes for Creo Parametric 2.0.Is this reasonable? How long did it take from making your payment to receiving codes?If this doesn't get resolved by Tuesday, THE 29th! I'm considering calling the AG's office.Anyone else just get put on the back burner getting your maintenance re-instated?

I am a relatively new user, and we just purchased Creo. As I am looking to find my way around the menu, I found a command "Model Size/ Bounding Box. When I click on it, I see a green box with a diagonal line from the upper right hand corner to the lower left hand corner. Upon further investigation, the box does not show the limits in X Y or Z. It is longer, wider, and narrower than the model. It can also, not be measures.Just exactly is the use of this command?

Wenn wir nun über lmgrd.exe –c [Lizenzpfad] den Lizenzserver starten wollen, schlägt es fehl, da immer die neue Netzwerkkarte vom Tool cpu_id.exe genommen wird. Auch wenn man die Priorität ändert (siehe Link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894564/de) so wird immer die neue Netzwerkkarte beansprucht. Nur wenn die neue Netzwerkkarte deaktiviert wird, wird alles sauber ausgeführt. Wie kann ich das Problem lösen?

Can someone give me the dope/layman explanation of the "Options Modeler" package? I read the official blurb description on PTC's site and was more clueless and dumberafter having read it.Are Lawyers writing this stuff now?
