Just one question about ( min function) why it works only with scalars ... whenever I want to use it with vectors or matrics  it doesn't work ... How to overcome this ? Should I always use programming ? For example the following program : in each (qc;gem;cor ) I have 3 matrics each one has ten values.... what I need is to write a program that will compare the both variables and choose the minimum value of each one ( compare the first raw with the first raw  and chooses the min ...and so on  ) ...and the result should be also one matric with ten values. However, it chooses only the minimum value of each matrics  

My students and I use Mathcad to solve problems of dynamics. My students this year (prime 10.0.0.0) come sometimes across an unknown error when using a solve block. The error mentions "bad solve block"; refer also to the screenshot. I have never come across it before and I have no clue what the reason could be for this error. After retyping the equtions and the "find" command, the solve block executes correctly. But I don't see a difference between the original solve block and the one after retyping it. So it stays a mistery why one time it executes and the other time it doesn't. 

in Creo Parametric 7.0.3.0,Is there a function that allows me to make ALL hidden parts visible when I'm in an assembly?Obviously, I can go through and select them individually, but this is a large assembly and it's not worth the time of day to do all that. So is there a button that does them all at once?

Is there a way to project all edges from a surface into a sketch without having to select them all individually?I am running Creo 3 - M010Thanks in advance!

Hello I am working on my bachelors project. I have made a function that calculate the heat recovery in a heat exchanger with a faze change (condensation). The function calculates the potential heat recovery based on the temperature that comes out of the heat exchangers hot side. The function works fine but i can not get it to solve the function, so i can calculate the temperature based on the heat energy. Does anyone know how to solve this or the reason for the error?  

I wrote a program to correct the value of q. I wanted to choose always the minimum value and I put the maximum limit to be 15 MPa , I don't know why it is not working . Do you know how to solve this problem?Thanks  

I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.2.0Piping and Drafting features are not working for 1 user, whereas we already have licenses for Creo Enterprise SE with Pro/INTRALINK in which these features are included. Attached is the error screenshot from user's computer

I have  R which contains 27 matrics all of them have the same corresponnding depth ( ztips). I want to draw all of the matrics in one plot instead of having 27 plots. I tried the one Mr. Werner suggested before. However, it doesn't work here. I guess the mistake is that ztips and R are different types. The sheet is too long and I can't just substract R because it is the final result of all the above calculation. hello 🙂 I have a trouble. some dimensions I can't change orientation or move to another plane. like, I want to move Φ12 to the top view, it will tell me " you can not move the specified dimension to the selected view" What is the specified? I can't perform this action in the Annotate function too!   thank you for your help

Using Creo 8.0.11.0 and having some trouble getting an assembly to come together the right way. Major part of my problem is how parts refuse to move to satisfy the constraints on them like how I'm used to the SolidWorks mates work. Is there a config/setting I can change to make it function more like SolidWorks in that way? The rollback on the assembly while using edit definition is a whole other challenge adding onto this.

Hello, To build optional assemblies in our modular models, we use envelopes. An example of this would be an automatic greasing system. This system is optional and therefore it's essential for us that all of the parts associated with this option are all in one assembly.To build the assembly, we need a framework to constrain it to. That's where envelopes come in. We use an envelope of the base frame in the greasing assembly and constrain all parts to it. Other advantages is that we can place this assembly default in the main assembly and the factory can use the envelope to easily see where to mount the parts, while the envelope does not appear on the BOM.We noticed that in Creo 8 this would result in problems when modifying the Envelope (due to face IDs changing). Now, in Creo 10.0.4.0, this problem seems to have gone away, which is great. However, the company advising us told us Envelopes shouldn't be used in this way officially.My question therefore is: Is it a coincidence this pr

I have trouble with different versions on my school computers and on my own laptop. I myself have MathCad version 10.0 (free verion) and my school computers has 7.0. Now I can't open files on the older version that I have edited on my own laptop. Is there a way to download older versions of MathCad. I tried it from MathCad Express Free Download but there was no option to select older versions of mathcad to be downloaded.Thank you in advance!

Dear PTC-Community, I want to replace a section of a part with formula driven lattices (Gyroid in the example case).I also want to try out different shapes for the section to be replaced and have the same surface for each version.In the three examples below, the shape and position of the section to be replaced is slightly different.Different versions of slots going trough the part For each case, I am placing the first unit cell in the top left corner and orient it along the slot as shown here:Unit Cell orientation and placement I understand that as the Part is wound in space and does not consist of a straight surface, the unit cell gets "cut" in a different way depending on the position of the part to be replaced on the surface. Is there is a way to get the same surface for all three different positions? Hello I have a reference pattern created from geometry present in another part in assembly. Referenced pattern does not get updated automatically, when I update my parent/main feature. What could be the main reason refernce pattern does not get updated automatically when refernce with external geometry. I have also checked the update control is set to automatically . TIA
