I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.2.0I am facing an issue model part does not show in the folder, and the same model shows when opened in CreoHere are the errors that I facedI am facing an issue model part does not show in the folder, and the same model shows when opened in Creo
Hello, we have a problem in a company with workflow using PTC Creo and Windchill. In attached assembly there is a mechanism of a theoretical machine. We want to be able to check for collision in different configurations during design process in different machine configurations. So we've created snapshots of those mechanisms using mechanical constratraints and checked in whole assembly. Since than there is no possibility to move with any parts at all. We can't activate any of snapshots while it's not checked out or continued. We need have to move mechanism during design process while it's checked in. For example we create new tool that will hang on paralelogram and during design process there is a huge need to always check if there are collisions and stuff around for safety purpose. Why we don't wont to use continue options and check out. those model are in it's final state and there are no changes needed to apply to them so data has to stay in it's initial shape before checkin
I have a multi-sheet assembly drawing where I have several projected views on one sheet and an exploded view on another sheet. The projected view balloons are driven off one repeat region and the exploded view balloons are driven off a second repeat region. Everything works fine but I find it incredibly annoying and extremely time consuming that I need to pick the repeat region before I pick and place the balloon when more than one repeat region exists in the drawing. Is there a way to set the default repeat region for balloons so it doesn't continue to ask you to pick the repeat region each time?
Creo Parametric 10 introduced a new collector in the sketcher that requires an extra step to complete the function.Users must now click the tiny check-mark in a floating menu bar or all collected references are lost for Project, Offset, etc.If the user clicks anything else before clicking the check-mark, all references are lost.I have lost so much productivity due to this change, and several others have complained about the same issue. It would ease the adoption of this new step if there were a warning, such as "Are you sure you want to quit?" instead of just deleting all of my work. PTC, please add a quit warning to the new sketcher reference collector so work and productivity is not lost.
I'm using Mathcad Prime 9.0.0.0 and I need help comparing the values in 2 matrices. To be more specific, I need a program that will start with the first column and compare the values going row by row, then return the value if there is a match, and if there is not a match then move on to the next column and repeat the comparison process. In the example matrices, Column 9 Row 4 (-1.63) should be the only value returned.
Working on linear interpolation of a coefficient from a 7x4 matrix, utilizing x and y axis ranges, Pg_Vector and R_vector respectively. From the first part of the linterp function worked perfectly for the x-axis solutions, but the second time working on y-axis returns an incorrect answer. See attached Prime 10 file.
Let's say I have a generic system block diagram as shown above, where I have two unknown inputs generating one output based on several scaling, offset and addition blocks. M1-3 and B1-3 are known parameters that do not change. I'd like to take the derivative of of the output with respect to M1 with some known inputs as setpoints. That's easy to do with the following:My problem arises when I try and define that same equation as a function of the inputs: I can get around this issue by defining the function with ALL variables, but this is tedious and cumbersome especially as the equations grow with many more variables Is there another way to do what I am trying to do without having to define a function with every variable? I've attached my sample mathcad showing this example in detail.
Good morning, I am starting to compile more custom functions. I thought it was possible to have these appear in the "insert function" action. However, these do not show up. I did stumble on CustomFunctions = to show the content. Is this possible? This was a note from pre-Prime DLL construction: Making the function available through the Insert Function dialog box In order to make a function appear in the Insert Function dialog box, you must provide information in the file USER.XML located in the subdirectory \DOC\FUNCDOC. Each function is an entry between <function> tag. Use the <name>, <category>, and <description> tags to specify the function name, its category, and its description as they should appear in the Insert Function dialog box. Between the <params> tag, indicate the parameters the function accepts. If you create a CHM Help file for your functions, use the <help_file> tag at the top of the XML fil
Hi,I am looking to cleanup my hardware inventory and IFX tool. How can I export all of the IFX hardware that I have created into a spreadsheet? I have a spreadsheet with all the parts created in Windchill and want to compare it to all of the parts that are able to be populated using IFX, ensuring there are not duplicates or unwanted hardware in Windchill. Is there an automated way or a tool to do this so that I don't have to manually copy all the data from each family table into one spreadsheet. I am using Creo 9.0.5
Hi,We currently run Creo 10 and Windchill 12. When looking at the compatibility of Creo and Windchill a newer version of Creo, version 11 in this case, seems to require an update of Windchill. Out of curiosity, what is the reason for having to update Windchill with an update of Creo? This makes it difficult and takes a long time to get a budget for such an update.
Hi,Change variable a from below and look at the V2(t)...Why odesolve block is behaving like this? Is it normal?Prime 10 file attached. The expected behaviour is like a =7.
Hi,How could be made this kind of pulse signal in Mathcad?
Hello, I am trying to export a model so that it will be shown correct in a web 3D viewer tool. This marketing tool is called "Spline.Design" and opens the possibility to show a 3D Model on a website like other tools can do too - nothing special. The formats GLTF, STL, FBX, OBJ are possible to import / use with the tool. Unfortunately the colors which I can see in creo will not be shown in this web tool. I want to understand if this is a problem of the tool or my process by exporting the model to one of those formats. To exclude one half of the possibilities I would like to show you my export process so you could inspect the process / steps. I am exporting assemblies (.asm): - File - Save as - Save copy- The "save copy" window opens.- I define a new file name and choose the right type, in this case wavefront (.obj)- the wavefront export settings I dont change:- the wavefront export window opens. I choose the coordinate system of the assembly to define the expor
Newbie here. How can I create a hole pattern on a conical solid?
In this gear design work, I want to find a suitable x1 and x2 to make the sliding rate of each gear equal or close to equalnow I was stuck here, do you mind telling me which place is wrong and how to solve this question?Really appreciate your reading and help!
Does anyone know if there is a way to get a report to show only when a "Total" is greater than 1. I have a report setup for our user that gets generated when they do checkin to windchill. This report pops up showing all the Harnesses in the Design. The intent being to check that each harness has only a quantity of 1, If any harness is a quantity of 2 or more that is an issue since the harnesses are labeled with that harness name. Users many times do not look at the report since there can be multiple pages of harnesses in complex designs. An alternate thought might be is there a way to limit specific datasets to being applied only once? Since in order to get 2 harnesses, the design has the same dataset applied twice (to 2 different cables). Attaching my report for reference.
Then I have assemblies with mechanism constrains, Creo wants to check out the components then I drag it.Are there any config options to set, or any things to do. So the components didn't get an update in the workspace?
Hi everyone. I'm using Mathcad Prime 10.0. Was using 8.0 before the update. I tend to use vectorization this way before and never had a problem. Since I switched to 10.0 this way doesn't work anymore. It should be a vector or matrix but none of the operation for matrix or vector work anymore. Let me know if there is any error on my side, Thanks for your help!
Hellowhen open one file of other cad system (like Cathia, SolidWork, ecc) Creo Parametric create a new file with extension (.creo) in the same folder of the original file.I'd like to controll the option to create or not create, and the position of cration.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: I have been struggling through a file I created originally in Prime 9 that has 3 chart components. The first is a simple chart component with absolutely no modifications made to it, containing 24 curves. The second chart has 6 curves with customized legend, line styles, title, etc. The 3rd chart has 10 curves and all elements of the chart are customized heavily (chart title, legend, trace names, line type/color/thickness, axes names and tick mark font sizing on all elements, etc.). This 3rd chart continues to become corrupt after saving it - of course this is the one that needs to be published! NOTE - Prime 10 seems to be "behaving" so far - hopefully this has been addressed in this latest version. Stay on the lookout for this issue with your chart components using Prime 9!
Hi, I'm a young mechanical engineering student and at my school we use Creo. I would like to know if in the "manufacturing" module it is possible to add "holding tabs" between the blank and the part to be machined (as it is possible to do in Fusion360). I use a very basic 3-axis CNC machine. Thanks in advance for any help! PS : i'm a beginer, so don't hesitate to correct me if i use wrong words !
how do I set the units of a drawing to display mm regardless of the units set in a part model.i.e. Part model is in inch units but I want the drawing to display in mm.
I have a cross section using a hatching we have been using for rubber since Creo 7. We have upgraded to 10 (version 10.0.4.0) and I have created a directory to store user defined cross hatching. When I call up the drawing and pick the hatching in the detail view and try to save under "User defined" the program locks up, waits about 10 seconds, and then winks out. No write-back, no nothing, just a fast crash. Any ideas as to what it is doing? It is repeatable.
Can you tell me if the Creo Parametric trial license include all the Creo design essentials modules?
