I am using Mathcad Prime Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0We have three older Mathcad files that Mathcad 9 is not able to convert for some reason. We receive the message "Conversion failed. Unexpected error encountered during conversion." We are then provided with incomprehensible text files describing the issue. Can someone try converting our files for us?
Hello, I am wondering if there is a method to use Distributed Batch to backup drawing files (and all associated assembly + part files) to a directory ? I attempted this using the mapkey.ttd and then including my config.pro containing a mapkey that recorded: Save a backup (while in a drawing file) > OK > Yes to the two prompts that appeared. The error I receive in the log is [-4] Error: Incomplete input data. The manual information suggests that this is due to required dependents not being retrieved, but I haven't been able to find a remedy for this (if any). The mapkey sequence itself is as shown, as runs as expected in Creo Parametric. mapkey bk @MAPKEY_NAMESave backup to working directory without prompt. For \mapkey(continued) use with distributed batch;@MAPKEY_LABELInstant save backup;\mapkey(continued) ~ Close `main_dlg_cur` `appl_casc`;~ Command `ProCmdModelBackup` ;\mapkey(continued) ~ Activate `file_saveas` `Current Dir`;~ Activate `file_saveas` `OK`;\m
Hi, we are looking to implement a custom fastener library using IFX in our department. It will require customisation of all fasteners, forming new file names and assigning custom parameters. On the positive side, I think I can find all of the required types of fasteners in default IFX library, which makes building a custom one much easier. I have tested it for a couple of weeks with building a couple of custom fasteners and it went almost flawless. Now the question is - what unforseen challenges may arrise during development and using it? As any other system, there is something always to learn which is difficult / impossible to forecast, but would be great to know before we spend effort developing the custom library and start building assemblies with them. Just to demonstrate my point - a reference example for issues with Solidworks Toolbox would be:- Solidworks doesn't always import the excel files correctly to build the configurations- Solidworks toolbox dat
IFX definition window allows to modify the countersunk diameters while using countersink head screw but UI we can find only counterbore , we need this countersink name enabled at the IFX UI level”
I m struggling to find a way to create a single draft entity line on a drawing sheet. Looking to create a line at 0,0 and go to 1,0 (x direction) or from 0,0 to 0,1 (y direction). Can someone point me in the right direction?
I have a UDF that creates threaded internal holes. In the UDF family table exists all the information that is needed to create a note on the drawing for describing the thread, depth etc. Is there a way to create a note from the table columns without having the user select each dimension?Note should read as below: 1/4-20 UNF-2B Major Dia.: .5000 Pitch Dia.: .4565/.4500 Minor Dia.: .4340/.4170What I would like is an annotation to be created when the thread UDF is ran. The UDF may be ran several times on one part & this is the reason to need it created as the UDF is ran. This way the user can show/erase the annotations and reduce the chance of errors.
Hello community, I've started to add some custom light scenes in the lightsscenes.xmlHas anyone experienced this already?I mean there are some settings that are not fully explained in the help, for example the difference between "ambient_adjust" (in the main definition of the lightscene) and "adj_ambient" (in the definition of the light itself).Or other best practices in positions, orientations, etc..I'm not fully happy with the default that comes with the application so I'm doing some tests and wondering if anyone has already done something to be shared, at least some experience 😉 Thanks
Have dual loads of P9 and P10. My application is CPU intensive. Recent testing showed a big difference so I did a simple sum test. The results are not good in my opinion. Can this be fixed with a patch? Bloatware at its finest - added functionality with engine overhead.
Hi guys Good Morningis there any Api call is available for reading or retrieving the model from the windchill workspace? Please let me know if you know any other Possibilities. regardsAravind
Hello all, I am facing a problem related to the conversion of my files to the Creo Parametric 9 version. Currently, this version of Creo only allows you to change its results into the following formats: I want to convert my analysis results from these above formats to Excel format. I tried surfing online regarding the same but couldn't find it. If anyone can help me, then I request that person offer me that information to convert those results into readable text or Excel format.Thank you,Rushang
Hi,Does toolkit offer the possibility of developing a CAD model directly using programming language. Like all command like extrude and all can be programmed according to dimesional requirements without building any CAD model in actual.
I was wondering if anyone knows how to select the surfaces highlighted from a semantic query? For example, I want to be able to select all GTOL annotations in my model and put the surfaces related to them under a layer. By right-clicking the GTOL layer and selecting "select items", the surfaces I want all show up under semantic query, but they aren't actually selected for, say, changing the appearance. If anyone knows how to do this with or without the semantic query tool, your help would be much appreciated. Also, my company is removing licenses with the GD&T advisor, so something like that wouldn't be an option. Thanks! Version: Creo 11
CREO 8.0/5.0Inserted exploded view on sheet-11 of the parts is like transparent. Outlined, Like the tangent lines you can see all the way thru the part. The part in the assembly model is solid. Not toggled to transparent. The part is an imported part from McMaasterCarr. But we use hundreds of their models with no issues.
Hello, I've been trying to simulate one interesting case in which i did stuck. Here is an image of what i've been trying to achieveHere is an example of using advanced rigid link beam is discontinued after first rigid link is applied Here is an example of using advanced spring (point to suface(projection)). It is deforming in wrong direction Can you help me solve this mystery?
I tried wrapping OTK C++ to create a dialog. What I learned is that it is possible to manipulate the user interface of CREO when setting the style of the dialog to uifcDIALOG_STYLE_PARENT_AND_MENU_MODAL. At the same time, when you open the dialog interface of other creo, the dialog created by OTK will be closed. In general, there are no exceptions as follows the sample code. LIKE:uifcCreateDialog, uifcActivateDialog, uifcExitDialog and uifcDestroyDialog return 0 andno exception is thrown. But I get an exception when I call the function uifcActivateDialog in a function that is rewrapped. After the uifcActivateDialog dialog is blocked, an exception occurs when open other CREO dialog boxes. Thanks in advance. Versions:Creo Parametric 9.0 - 64 bitWindows 10 64 BitC++ Object Toolkit
Hello CAD admins, you probably also provide your users with a company-config.pro with standard mapkeys in the text directory of the Creo installation. In our case it happens again and again that users create their own mapkeys (which is legitimate), but when saving them they manage to write out the complete company-config.pro into the local one in the home or start directory.Since the local mapkeys have the sovereignty, the users do not get changes to the mapkeys in the company-config.pro anymore. As far as I know, the default mapkeys can't be packed into a config.sup either, because then the users can't create their own mapkeys anymore. How do you deal with the problem of overwritten default mapkeys? Regards, Domenic
Hello,Is there a search function for Creo Illustrate figures? In the future I will have large Creo Illustrate files with a lot of illustrations (20....100 and more), all consisting of 11-digit numbers. In order to find one of these numbers (illustrations), I urgently need a search function similar to the search function in the parts list. Unfortunately, at the moment (it seems) there is only a filter function for figures that isolates the figure I am looking for (see picture below): However, I would like to have the figure I am searching for highlighted in the list of all figures, so that I can see the location (see picture below): If I am wrong, please tell me how to search for figures. Best regardsRamon
Hi Guys,Can we use the model check to detect the ghost reference and break it, is it possible?Regards,Aj
Can anyone here tell me why I can not plot the X-Y Point from that DATA TABLE?
Hican anyone here explain, why I get this error`?
Hello, I am trying to create a map key that will auto create the new "enclosure volume" feature then take its x,y,z dimensions and add them to a parameter in my bill of materials. My biggest issue is the enclosure volumes parameters have an "internal feature ID" attached to them and is unique between components if I want to reuse this map key which then causes failures in the relations for PTC_BBOX_X:FID_(should have an ID number instead of stars.) I tried to incorperate copy and pasting the the feature ID from the feature information but that part of the map key doesnt work as it only pastes what was copied when map key was made. I also tried inserting the bounding box parameters in the map key and that failed as well because it cant find the parameters agian because of the internal feature ID. Here are my current Parameters:FINISH_SIZE stringXR real numberYR real numberZR real numberX stringY stringZ string Here are my relations:XR=CEIL(PTC_BBOX_X:FID_****,3)YR=CEIL(PT
Hello everyone, I'm trying to find a way to show the file save iteration number in a drawing in Creo (Version 4.0 and higher). It will be used for projects without a PDM system to show the exact save iteration, in addition to a revision parameter. For example for a drawing of a part named DUMMY.PRT.35 I would like to extract the number 35 either directly in the drawing and show it in a note -or- in the part model by placing it into a parameter I can reference in a drawing note.I haven't found if this is possible somehow. The rel_model_name and model_name parameters do not seem to provide this functionality?Any help is appreciated!
This month’s challenge is a part design problem based around curves and sweeps: Using part modeling features, design a twisted wire pair that passes through at least three non-planar points. (Bonus) Using Flat-to-Screen 3D Annotations, create parametric notes so that a user can modify the twisted pair. For example, diameter of the wires or rate of twist (similar to the pitch of a helical sweep). Is your modeling robust enough to handle dimension changes? (Extra) Model 2, 3, or 4 twisted pairs that travel along the same trajectory, similar to a CAT6 cable. (Super Challenge) Can you make two twisted pairs that twist around each other? Post a picture or pictures of your work as well as the models. Indicate what version of Creo you used. This challenge is based on a technique I saw in a PTC newsletter 20 years ago, so this can be done using a standard license of Creo (or even Wildfire or Pro/ENGINEER). Note that this is NOT a cabling challenge; you should use part modeling featur
Dear all, long time ago after I did programming MathCAD.How can I filtering on DATA Matrix here for all submatrixes which have conc = 0.5 f.e.I did this but is buggy. Maybe some one can tell me, so that I can remember my knowledge Ihave forgotten. thanks
I have downloaded a trial edition of MathCAD prime 10. However it has defaulted to an express account and cannot use the prime features during the period. How is this resolved?
