Creo 7 I am looking for an automated way to create a cellular array of ribs and have run into what seems to be a limitation with trajectory rib functionality. The first pic below illustrates an example of what I want to create but I am not able to use the projection of the patterned hex curves in the sketch for a trajectory rib without manually selecting each hex. I am able to generate a pattern of cells that "should" be available for use when defining a sketch for trajectory ribs. So far, I am not able to select the cell array with a pick box or intent reference selection. Am I missing something with sketcher selection or in the projection tool within sketcher? Is there a better way to approach this from a modeling standpoint if I want it to be more automated? Using a fill pattern, I can generate the array from a single sketched hexagon and a few feature relations. It would be nice to leverage that and generate the ribs based on this pattern. I need a way to selec
May I know what is the function of "Update Layer" in this tab? it is grayed out in every layer. Thanks
Using Creo 8.0.Is there a way to change the color of the hole placement handles ? ( the symbols you drag to define XY placement of a hole on a selected surface). By default it is red, but is hard to see when superimposed on the selected placement surface that also turns red upon selection.See attached screenshot in where I refer to the symbol at the end of the striped red line.
I have a license for Prime 3.0 and am re-installing on a new PC after a few years away from Mathcad and require a download link - is there one available? Thank you.
I'm having an installation issue with Creo Elements/Direct Modeling Express. I downloaded the setup file, and ran the installer, but after installation when I launch the app the error message: "The code execution cannot proceed because mfc140u.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I have tried reinstalling multiple times and the issue persists.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM140In drawing sheet while creating linear dimension with reference of edge and bend axis dimension created but getting PRO_TK_INVALID_MATRIX error while using this api "PROANNOTATIONSHOW".when the drawing is active that time there is no error but when we open the drawing programmatically then getting errorHere are the errors that I facedPROANNOTATIONSHOW - PRO_TK_INVALID_MATRIX
I have on average 30 to 40 large Mathcad Prime 8 worksheets that must sequentially open, calculate using input numbers from an ASCII text file, output an ASCII text file for input by the next worksheet, then save and close before the next worksheet is opened. This is very labor intensive and I need to automate the process with a Visual Basic program. It is critical that each worksheet recalculate while it is open, to deliver correct and updated results to the next worksheet. I can get the attached example VB program to start Mathcad and open a single file, but I have not been successful in adding lines of VB code, that recalculate that worksheet after it is opened, and then save & close that worksheet with the changes, before opening the next worksheet - and doing it all again. Help! Obviously, I am not a programmer!
I'm currently facing a peculiar issue in Creo and could use some advice. I've created a part with a specific feature - a hole cut out. The problem arises when I attempt to mirror this feature. While the mirroring process itself seems successful, the original hole cut out disappears.Has anyone encountered this issue before? What could be causing the original feature to vanish upon mirroring, and more importantly, how can it be resolved? Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance for your help!
Why does it take time to export PDF on Creo, i would like to know if there are other ways around this
My software won't load and a message comes up saying 'connection failed' and it asks for proxy server details - it never used to do this. Does anyone know how I can overcome it?
Check out this video on Creo Additive MFG from PTC Application EngineersPresenters: Lino Tozzi (Solution Consultant, Fellow) and Ryan Butcher (Solution Consultant, Fellow)Original Date Presented: November 14, 2023To dive deeper into the subject, check out Creo Additive MFG.
I have opened up a support ticket and PTC is still investigating but it doesn't appear that there is a way to change the annotation plane for annotations within a UDF. Anyone doing MBD with UDFs? Are you aware of a work around for having the annotations placed on a different annotation plane? I know once it is placed you can right click on them and choose move to plane but I am hoping there is a better response.
I use a copy geometry to get planes from my skeleton. Now I have a lot of planes in my model. It makes it hard to find the plane that I need on the screen. I want to use layers to only show the planes that I want to use as references for my desired feature. But, when I try to select a plane from a copy geometry for creation of a layer, it selects all the planes from that copy geometry. Is there maybe a way to use just a selected few of the planes from a copy geometry in a layer? Thanks a lot for ideas and answers!
Hi, I am importing an aerofoil into Creo 8, I am following steps done by You-tube videos, however the aerofoil comes out like below.I am using the following aerofoil: Any tips would be appreciated thanks
Hi, I am running a simulation with a measured load at one side, and applied load at another. For all intents and purposes, it is a non-symmetric see-saw, where I have a target load at one end, with a load (in this instance, a pressure value) applied to a pad at the other end. I will have 9 individual tests to complete (each test is at a different angle), so I was hoping to run a feasibility study to save myself the trial and error involved in guessing the input load multiple times until I get a close result. I have had a bit of a play around and created a parameter, which I then drove a load value with. It seems to accept the input parameter (I can drive a static analysis from it) but when it comes to doing a study, I get the '!' of doom with no indication of the cause of failure. Screenshots of my parameter and study are below. Is what i am trying actually possible and if so, is there something obvious I am missing?
Hi I am new here and was wondering if you could help?We have Creo 8.0 on a server with a 1G network.we have now upgraded to a 2.5G network. We are moving the drawing files to a QNAP TS-h973AX NAS with 32GB ram and a 2.5G network connectionIt then connects to a QNAP 2.5G network unmanaged switchWhich then connects to 3 X 2.5G network computers with 12th gen i7 processors with 32GB RAM each using NVMe drives..Transfering files through file explorer gives us the 2.5G speed but when we try to open Creo 8.0 files the network only transfers files at 7Mbps to 13Mbps speed?Do we need to change anything in the config file settings in Creo to speed up the opening of the drawings in Creo?note: we upgraded from pro e wildfire to Creo parametric 8.0Could it be that a software limitation has come across from the old wildfire program and is limiting the speed of Creo loading files? any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
Hi,I recently faced this issue, that whenever i import a step file, it mostly imported as surface with geometry error. But same .step imported with solidworks, showing no error and imported as a clean 3D model. If I save that model into whatever files .iges, .stp and re import with creo, still facing same geometry errors like this.In Solidworks, i save the file as creo .prt file. That model is solid in creo. How and why the file works well with solidworks not with creo 7.0 ? This is not only for a single .step file but almost all of my .step models i have so many errors.
I have problem when running my mechanism analysis it says "The mechanism could not be assembled because some mechanism constraints weren't met". Is it because the joint/assembly isn't properly constraint or what ? Whats the easiest way to know if my parts are connected incorrectly?
When I tried to save my playbacks for my mechanism in .pbk file, an information appears. Is it a licence issue? Thanks
Hi, today I tried to install free trial version of Mathcad Prime 9.0. Instalation was succesfull, but i can't activate my license. Every time when I try to acquire my license it shows me this message "You have reached the maximum number license requests for your product type". What should I do?
Hi I've put together a series of Worked Examples using Mathcad. These are aimed at for Structural Engineers in Australia and New Zealand as they cover AS/NZS Standards, although the general principles apply globally. Smash the 'Like' button, share the show with your friends, subscribe to the channel and leave a comment. Regards Andrew
Hi,I created a student account about a week ago to get the 30-day free trial of Mathcad Prime, but I never received the email with the license.
I have a drawing with multiple dashed line fonts. In Creo Parametric, the spacing of these line fonts changes dynamically as I zoom in and out so that they are always readable. When I publish the file to a DXF or DWG format, Creo appears to be assigning a linetype scale factor that I cannot control. When I import the resultant DWG file to AutoCAD, I can use the LTSCALE command to enter a new scale factor. I see when I do this that Creo has assigned the factor 2.585 for this particular drawing. Other drawings have their own scale factors applied, I assume based on the size of the drawing sheet (larger sheets get larger scale factors, resulting in wider spacing). Is there any way within Creo to pre-assign the scale so that we do not have to post-process it in AutoCAD?
Hi!I have a structure with profiled.I used "Prismatic Elements" to do a mesh but obtaing some warningThere are problems with "Detecting thi feature" that is very slowly. is it possible to fast it? Where is the problme Thank you
