hi,i'm using Creo parametric 12.4.2.0 and it seems that with My Filter enabled for selection it doesn't switch automatically to Cabling Items when using Cabling module.is there something to change about that?thanks
I also have this issue. Reference topic: Parameter PTC_COMPONENT_SETS has invalid set na... - PTC Community When I use the "insert here" trick to see when the message appears by dragging this "insert here" lower in the feature tree I managed to find out which model is giving this error. I've tried a lot but also completely remove the model and constraining it again the error appears again. This model is an assembly and within the assembly the PTC_COMPONENT_SETS message isn't shown. @dcokin wrote: The trick is that to find and control these values, you need to look at component level parameters. From the parameter dialog, change the "look in" menu to "Component", click the arrow, and then click the desired component from your model tree. It'll have a string parameter called "PTC_CONSTRAINT_SET", which lists the active sets separated by commas. (In rare cases, you may need more than one active at a time.) Inconvenient thing about
The customer plans to upgrade to Creo 10.0 in the future; however, all drawing work is currently being performed based on Creo 3.0.Accordingly, I am modifying drawing formats (.frm, .drw) in a Creo Parametric 3.0 (M190) environment. In the drawing tables, parameter values are linked to table cells. When the parameter values become long in the drawing, automatic text wrapping (Wrap Text) is applied to improve readability. However, when Wrap Text is enabled, the full parameter value is not preserved. Only the last line after wrapping is displayed, and the parameter is not recognized correctly.According to PTC article CS230831, this issue was resolved in Creo Parametric 2.0 M220.I would like to ask whether there is any configuration change or workaround available to resolve this issue in the Creo Parametric 3.0 environment.
Thanks for any hints for solving this efficiency issue.
I am switching from IDF to IDX soon and I don't understand the process of uploading files to Windchill after small electrical components have been added to the board from the ECAD side. On a large board, there are bound to be several small components that are added during the ECAD Validation process. They are valuable to see in the mechanical 3D model because they help with interference checks, but they slow down assembly performance drastically. Once I accept the components to be added to my assembly, is there a way that I can easily suppress them all so that I don't slow down my computer? Secondly, when I check-in the assembly to Windchill, it tries to check-in the small components as separate parts. Can I stop them from coming in as individual parts? If not, then how can I rename them before exporting them so that we don't run into issues with trying to check-in electrical components with the same name all the time?
Hi folks, I've built a pretty simple front panel and I'm trying to make a drawing out of it. When I placed the Front and Right view I noticed that it's showing me all the hidden lines, even though my Display mode is Shaded with Edges (I've triple checked this and I have also tried to change it to No Hidden, no luck). View Display for each view are set to Follow Environment and all Layer elements are hidden. I've even tried to manually hide them via Edge Display and that doesn't work either (doesn't hide anything, but Show Modified Edges does highlight my targeted lines). Lastly Force_wireframe_in_drawings is set to off, I've looked around for previous topics and found no resolution, so here we are.I've attached an image of the drawing (front view and right view as Section) and the 3D model from the front and back view so you can see where the issue is appearing: the rear-of-panel-cut out is showing up in the front view and the side view is showing every c
Hi, Then I overwritten values for t1 and t2 and test variable result was updated with the new values of t1 and t2: Then I disabled t1 and t2, but the test variable remained unchanged. Why t1 and t2 did not took value 2 and update the test variable result with 4?
Hello PTC CommunityI am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.8.0I need to get the simplified representation used as substitution of an item of a dedicated simplified representation of an assembly. So I'm using ProSimprepdataitemsVisit to get the items and filtering them on the action type. it works well with a new created simplified representation. After replacing the a component having a substitution by a component having also same replied representation name, it is not possible to get it : the previous component is still return as ProSimprepitem ( its item_path still have the previous CID).How to update the simplified representation item?
I am getting an error for license file does not support the version for Creo 12. I have reconfigure the installation still it is not working.
PTC software download does not have a download button for me. I have purchased Mathcad Prime Student Edition 11, but I cannot download it.
Hello All: I have encountered some strange behavior with the new "vec()" function in Mathcad Prime 11. An example of this is shown in the screen capture below. In trying to plot a complex function (the volume of a sideways cylindrical tank), the old way with a "range" for the h in this example gives the correct results (determined independently of Mathcad). However, the h created by the vec() function yields very different results in this instance. I tried other simpler formulas [e.g, sqrt(2*R*h-h2)] and the results were satisfactory and both results matched. But as I started fleshing out the equation with more terms, the behavior diverged as per the example below. The other terms, when isolated, produce satisfactory results. Only the term shown below in V2(h) presents strange behavior. More still, expressing V2(h) differently (e.g., algebraically rewriting the expression will create still different but, likewise, still w
I like the new (well, it's been a few years now) tools for Project and Offset. They're harder to teach, but they're more robust. But today I tried to use a seldom used command: Convert to Tapered. It used to be you can select an Offset geometry in the Sketcher and hit Operations->Convert to->Tapered, and then have the offset vary from one end to the other. Nice little trick. Well, it seems it doesn't work anymore? I tried getting it to work, but it's always greyed out. I searched through the documentation, and found this little note: When you use the new tools for offsetting or projecting an edge the following functionality is not supported.• Projecting an axis.• Projecting or offsetting in the Blend tool.• Creating a Pattern of the type Curve.• Converting the new offset geometry to Tapered. Hm, I guess we got some new limitations with the new tools. But the fact that the option is still there (but greyed out) and the fact that the documentation says whe
I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.7.0just migrated from windows 10 to windows 11. We manage all mapkeys in config.proworked fine with creo 10 + windows 10most mapkeys are two letters. For exemple "RR" for right view. etc.All mapkeys do not work properly since windows 11 migration. First letter is recorded by creo 2nd letters is lost, we have to hit second letter again to make shortcut work Hence needs 3 hits for one mapkey...Most of our daily tasks are performed with mapkeys. We are over 20users trained with these mapkeys. We cannot change them. Please let us know what issue is and how to fix it
Include which software and version you are using!Creo Illustrate 12.1, but any other version missing it tooExplain what you already tried.I miss some of the CGM export profiles, compared to ISO DRAWDoes anybody else having same demand for e.g. S1000D in Creo IllustrateInclude a screenshot Compare Iso Draw 7.4 vs. Creo Illustrate 12.1 Help centerAll not marked missing, especially the S1000D is my demand

Hi reference topic: Solved: reloading Mathcad in new windows 11 computer - PTC Community I'm upgrading machines to win 11 and trying to re-install prime 3.0 on those machines with a new correct licence file. Installs but cant apply licence. Machines with Mathcad already on when upgraded to 11 work fine. Any feedback welcome. We have perpetual licence.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.11.0When I import a tiff image in my DRW the created dimensions, notes, and symbols appear above the image, while sketch entities appear below, so I have to increase the image's transparency to manage them.I there a command for put under the image?
Hi! I use merged balloon symbols for multiple component. If this merged balloon symbol is moved the leader always move to the middle and works inconsistently.:(view in My Videos)Is there a config key settings to disable this behavior? I think it is a new thing, never happened in previous version of creo (creo8).I'm using: Creo parametric ver. 10.0.4.0 Thanks in advance!
We have started to explore the Framework add in with creo. We noticed that the 8020 library is missing a LOT of sizes and components. Is this actively updated? Is it our responsibility to add in the additional sizes and components to meet our needs beyond the basics that is available? Thanks
Q1 how to create new profile in creo 8 and saved to libraries?Q2 I had selected rose krieger profile and Bosh profile but in creo, It showed as a rectangular tube with hole in it. how to get the actual visualization? why is that happening?
Hi Community, we are currently thinking about adding some more t-slotted profiles to the advanced framework extension and are wondering what you are using in you designs. Currently we offer the following manufacturers: Bosch Item Kanya Maytec Minitec Rose+Krieger Frameworld INCH 8020 INCH Controlled Dynamics Do you miss anything in this list and also if you are using the mentioned libraries already are there profiles missing that you would like to have in a future release? Any feedback is welcome. Greetings Sam
OK ... slightly embarrassing - but we will own it. For the nearly 5,300 users who were NOT able to get a FREE license of: Nitro-BOM, Nitro-CELL, or Nitro-PROGRAM We fixed the "glitch"! Special thanks to a couple of people who took the time to document an unrealized problem. There were no problems with Purchased or Demo licenses - just the FREE ones. Enjoy! 😎 Dave
I am using Creo Schematics Release 12.0 and Datecode 12.0.0.0When selecting a component on the schematic, previously (in v9.0) the parameter panel would update to show which component was selected, with version 12 however I have to close the parameter panel and reopen it to show which component I have selected to edit its parameters. What's strange is that another users computer does not have this issue with both mine and his installation being brand new.I have already reinstalled 3 times to see if it would fix the issue but it has come back each time, I have also cleared any settings I changed and keyboard shortcuts etc to no avail. There are no error messages in the console.
Hello All, Has the Math software Wolfram become a competitor to Prime in terms of Engineering value? In Prime going back 10 years or so, I used simple loops to get my calculations done.Which these loops are basic to Mathcad and Prime.I have not known Prime for a programming language rater symbolic programming for loops etc.I have come across Wolfram very often when I need something to calculate on the spot using the internet. Thru that I have recently learnt that it is quite impressive. You can set a grid worksheet and have its color light green too like Prime/Mathcad sheets. So, for me that is some cause of an attraction or pull to Wolfram.Especially considering the price. And it is loaded with a full programming language. Tell me am I missing the serious engineer deep thoughts on this?Your comments are appreciated. Kind Regards,Karl Bogha.
I’m looking for a solution to build a Configurable Product in Creo that includes a mechanism. Here’s the scenario:I have a rail mechanism with variable length. When a specific variant (length) is selected, I want the linear motion to be limited according to that selected length. What I’ve tried so far:I created a Motion Skeleton inside the Configurable Product. The rail module was connected to the first body of the Motion Skeleton. The cradle module was connected to the second body of the Motion Skeleton.I was able to build variants using Variant Builder, but the problem is:The cradle’s position is driven by the Motion Skeleton.Changing the rail module length does not affect the motion range, so the cradle runs out of short rails. To fix this, I moved the Motion Skeleton into a new module to build different lengths. However, the Assign Choices function doesn’t work (red icon appears, and I can’t check the checkbox for length).Question:Has anyone successfully built a configurable assembly that
