CAD

We upgraded to Creo9 last week and now I can't control the layers per view anymore.It's the whole drawing all the time even when I select a given view the layer status changes for the whole drawing. This is the first time I can remember seeing this. Does anyone have an answer for this?

Hi, in feature modeling, section sketch, double clicking on a dimension to modify its value doesn't work any more.This happens since I installed Creo Parametric 9.0.3. on Windows.Thank you for your help.Giovanni  

Hello dear members, Is there a way that Fasteners assembly doent show up in BOM but its members are shown with correct qty?Let me give an example, suppose 1234 is a Fasteners assembly consist of a bolt+ Nut+ 2Washers. Now I am bringing this assembly into another assembly lets say 5678. In 5678, I am patterning the 1234(assembly) three times, will it be possible in 5678 BOM to show 3bolt+3nut+6washers as individual lines with correct qty, but not to show 1234 fasteners assembly in BOM line of 5678. Thanks.

Is there way to control the representation in the family table? or Any way to control the subassembly in the top level assembly ? refer the attached image  i want to swap the instance of 020008946_Generic at top level MB000A014 thru top level family table. pls suggest.  Suggest an alternate way if the above listed options don't exists in Creo.  

Greetings In the classic interfaces mouse + tablet (-pelook 1), you can paste a "text" that is in the Windows clipboard by pressing the middle mouse button/wheel in the text line or in the Me10 editor.Is there another way to do this pasting? Reason: We (still) use the tablet, there this is particularly awkward. That means after you have selected and copied the text and are back in ME10, select the desired action with the pen; then put the pen away ; take mouse and position cursor at desired place, press middle mouse button/wheel to paste; put mouse away and then take pen again to continue working..So I'm was looking for something like an INQ-query (which unfortunately doesn't exist) that I could put into a macro and trigger from the tablet or keyboard.Is it somehow possible to write the clipboard content to a file that can be accessed with OPEN_INFILE ? I am currently doing this in a macro:PASTE_FROM_CLIPBOARD NOSUBPART Specifying a point where there is nothing else.What is then found

Hi,I'm starting to use the welding module.I have a problem:I created three fillet welds, I try to combine them but I can only combine two, selecting the third one this message appears: "The groove/butt weld must be positioned higher in the Model Tree than the fillet weld."Has this happened to you too?Have you solved it?Thank you.P.S. I have a project stored in my Model Manager installation (models and drawings).   I have to send my project to my customer that is also using Creo Direct/Modeling but without Model Manager.   Is there a quick way to export model and drawings in a single zip file? The task is easy for the 3d-model, but I don't find the way to automatically collect all drawings related to this design.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.2.0I am using AFX and i know there is an auto number and auto generating name for parts and assembly. Is there a way to have the Item number generator different for each profile type? I'd like to have in my assembly a naming scheme for parts like this:PROJECTNAME_I_BEAM_01;PROJECTNAME_I_BEAM_02;PROJECTNAME_I_BEAM_03;PROJECTNAME_U_BEAM_01;PROJECTNAME_PIPE_01.Instead of actual naming scheme:PROJECTNAME_I_BEAM_01;PROJECTNAME_I_BEAM_02;PROJECTNAME_I_BEAM_03;PROJECTNAME_U_BEAM_04;PROJECTNAME_PIPE_05.

Hi. I have MathCad Prime 8.0 student version/license. That will expire after 17 days now and I like to renew it. I try to do it online but webpage is asking Customer Number, Product Code or something else what I cant find or dont know. How I can renew my student license and can I renew it to MathCad 9.0? My studies is still going on so am I still justified to same price?I love U product. Most students of our department use Texas Instrument's TI-nspire CX series calculators and MathCad ofcourse. There is many apps/softwares for that calculator. It would be SUPER if theres any way to convert MathCad to that calculator too. I and propably many others would buy that product. Calculator work already like mathcad, except it count row by row so U cant change variables (which U have set on start) at end of calculations. Basicly U should do only worksheet's instead of row's or like row's should be interactive. Let me know if U ever gonna do that.

Hi everyone, I am wanting to create a family table that allows the user to pick from a list some options for features. Like, do you want 3 grooves on the face or only 2 grooves.  Our parts are just optional features that sometimes vary in size. I was looking at nested family tables but it doesn't seem like I can select an instance from the subfamily table in the main family table. Our parts are very simple and of the 10 features there are only 2-5 different variations which is why I am not worried about using a family table. Ideally I would like this to easily translate into a drawing so I am not having to put a lot of dimensions for each new drawing. I need one drawing per instance. Thank you in advance for the help!

I used the family table patternize instance feature to make several shafts that change with their length. I am making a drawing and I want to pull in and show the incremental value that the patternize feature used. Is there a symbolic name (like &dxxx) for this particular dimension? I've looked several places and can't seem to find anything.

In derive I managed it successfully. But in MC15 everything is possible, just not the correct result. Hi Created cylinder in creo by using extrude, I need to use this surface in optical analysis, But when i click surface, just half of them selecting, for the other one we need to select with CTRL, But this is no good my optical simulation, Simulation software requires me just 1 clicking ,  How can built this part as a on single surface,        

I am using Creo Schematics Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.0.0We recently upgraded from 4.0 to 7.0. In 4.0 when we exported a design as a pdf if we were to open the pdf in Adobe Acrobat Pro and edit text the text was editable as an entire entity such as a sentance/paragraph.In 7.0 if we edit the text the same way all text now are separate entities and each individual letter/word has to be changed separately.

With Creo 9 removing the deprecated Gtoldata API methods, it's not clear to me how to get all the same data points we were previously.It seems relatively clear how to replace the "has a specific symbol" methods like ProGtoldataDiameterGet() and ProGtoldataMatCondGet() by searching the value strings returned by ProGtolCompositeGet() for the strings returned by ProGtolSymbolStringGet(). However, I have no clue how I'm supposed to parse those value strings to get the same data provided by ProGtoldataPerUnitGet() and ProGtoldataProjZoneGet(). I would like specific instructions clarifying this for each return value of the deprecated methods.I also have many more specific questions the documentation didn't answer. I'm looking for compatible versions of Visual studio to customize Creo Parametric 7.0.2.0 and confused that PTC articles are telling to use Visual Studio 2019 v142 but available versions under 2019 build are only 16 and above. Is it okay to use Microsoft visual studio 2019 v16 and above? Is it fine if I go for version 2022? 

Is there a way to find max values for two columns, outputted as one column in prime 9?    

I'm writing this as I had to work long on a converted legacy Mathcad document to prime.Since being forced to convert legacy Mathcad documents to Prime I get from colleagues (who're proof reading my calculations) the following questions:What does EXPLICIT mean?Why don't you cut down on the surplus decimals in equations?What happened to the tidy calculation reports I used to submit?All this proves that Mathcad Prime is far from the "...professionally formatted document..." PTC claims to provide.  See results in the screen shot below.   

I am trying to install MathCad. But i have not recieved a license. I am a student and i did recieve the download link. In the installer it does not show any applications to install.

Hi, look like solving block solves the equation, but lower, it says that the variable is undefined. What am I missing?
