There seems to be an error regarding logical statements in Prime 10.0.1. See below. The expected output of all statements is 1. It seems to only be a problem when using units. Is there a fix to this? Thanks
Dear all, I’m experimenting since a while, with MathCAD Prime 9.0 and a specific spreadsheet, what I’d classify as “numerical instabilities”.I’ll explain better. I’m dealing with a complex spreadsheet; this last:Reads from an Excel file the input dataRecalls (include command) a spreadsheet defining a function of 6 variables To be noticed that the above points have not created any trouble in previous spreadsheets 3. Involves recursive formulas with matrix multiplications and inversion 4. Involves the solution of a transcendental equation deriving from the determinant of a matrix; this last matrix is obtained at the end of the recursive process (hinted before 5. Is calculated using the options: Calculation/Calculation Options/ Multithreading;TOL & CTOL @ 10-7The spreadsheet, in itself, is not that big (around 350 Kb). Many different issues are highlighted.First, wit
Dear all, I've seen that for the users of Prime 9 with a valid license, the Prime 11 upgrade is available. I'd like instead to have both versions (to be used not at the same time obviously!). Is it possible? If yes with what procedure? Thanks Best Regards
In Creo: Goal to create 3d representation of the following. Imagine 30 golf balls (2” dia) on a rope 100 feet in length. Balls need to be evenly spaced out starting from one end of the rope with a distance of 3 feet apart. The rope with balls to be wrapped around a cylinder 2 feet in diameter. The difficult part is to illustrate the tangent points where both the balls and rope make contact (interface) with the cylinder it’s being wrapped around. Note the height and diameter of the cylinder can change to adjust the number of balls on the rope. The target it to make both the rope and balls tangent to cylinder at touch points.
Hi,I'd like to create a mapkey macro to modify existing view label.When I create for example a detailed view, the label looks like this:.. and I'd like modify to this (line wrap, plus remove parenthes)Without mapkey macro I can do it manually.I recorded a mapkey for this, but it doesn't do anything.mapkey vn1 @MAPKEY_LABELView Note Correct 1x;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Move `main_dlg_cur` `NoteEdit` 2 35 35;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Move `main_dlg_cur` `NoteEdit` 2 21 21;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Key `main_dlg_cur` `proe_win` 9 452 250 196608 1024 1519 918 1920 1200 \ mapkey(continued) 29733267 `Del`;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Key `main_dlg_cur` `proe_win` 9 452 250 262144 1024 1519 918 1920 1200 \ mapkey(continued) 29733267 `Left Arrow`;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Key `main_dlg_cur` `proe_win` 9 452 250 262144 1024 1519 918 1920 1200 \ mapkey(continued) 29733267 `Left Arrow`;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Key `main_dlg_cur` `proe_win` 9 452 250 262144 1024 1519 918 1920 1200 \ mapkey(continued) 29733267 `Left Arrow`;
It doesnt want to activate it for the free 30 day trial.
Hello,What is the difference b/w isodraw vs creo illustrate? Is Creo illustrate replacing IsoDraw? What points should i consider if i want to upgrade to creo illustrate?
Hi,My company uses Creo AAX to make assembly guides which I have self-taught myself how to do them. I am using Creo 10.0.6.0 and wanting to know if there is a setting that allows me to see the instructions in the bottom left of the model area, it only shows the step number, exploded state and simple rep. I would like to see the description whilst building the guide to quickly see if it makes sense, sure I can edit the step then edit the description to see the description but that can build up as our guides vary in length 8 steps all the way to 28 steps.I want to show this without editing the descriptionso that it appears in this viewIs this possible?
Previous functionality had a "Reset Component Position" (I don't remember the exact menus) which allowed you to reset the explode position of one component. It put the component back to the unexploded position without changing its explode state. I just assembled a small component into a Creo 9 assembly, which, in the exploded view is off into space somewhere. Of course, that destroys drawing views, detail views, etc.. I have run into this many times in the past. PTC tech support is useless on the subject. Often I just have to create a new explode state to make it work right - without a bunch of useless moves which mess up explode lines and require a ton of work on the drawings. This all seems so ridiculous. Where did it go? Does anyone know where PTC has buried this very useful functionality? The UI fails the intuitive test, for both me and PTC tech support. PTC support documents are useless as usual. This document says "Reset" but I don't see the menu. The on
I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.4.0How can the standard ISO weld symbol be used to show a staggered intermitant linear weld. When you add the values for num_of_welds, seg_length_linear and pitch_dist_liner the numbers cross over the staggered Z part of the symbol. There seems no way to move the Z or space the values using spaces to staddle the Z. The symbol is a standalone annotation in the drawing and not used with the weld fuction.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.2.0I created skeleton with multiple solid bodies and then created part from the bodies to build an assembly from these parts. In Creo everything is fine but problem occurs when I try to export an assembly to a STEP file. STEP file is generated but does not contain any geometry when imported. This is relevant only for assembly or parts created from skeleton bodies. Skeleton as a part is exported but does not contain all the futures because some futures are created in the parts. The first feature in parts crated from skeleton bodies is Extern Copy Geom with automatic update. I have tries use different export protocols but results is the same. Bodies is not set as construction bodies. Here are the errors that I facedWarning message upon opening STEP file: "Could not construct feature geometry"
As the title says one of my files got corrupted and i don't know how to recover it i've tried converting it into zip and recover it with some tools found online but nothing works This file is important as it contains the contents of a important project that i have to turn in in a couple of daysThe problem started today as my Mathcad wasn't starting and then i saw a thread about deleting user config i did and it worked Mathcad was starting and most of the files are available but this one isn'tPlease help me I'm quite desperate even tough its not much i already continued with the results from the equations in this and I'm not sure i can replicate them
My client are using Creo 9 with EMX 9.0 which has some configurations added on config file. Now Creo is upgraded to Creo 10.0 and EMX 10.0 is also installed. But when opened Creo 10.0 it shows error message of config settings file. Need help what changes to be made for using EMX 10.0 with Creo 10.0 Rahul Sardar
Hello All,Please see the attached document (Mathcad9). Currently, I am defining these variables individually in a table format. I'd like to start defining the data for each member and its associated information ( Length, force, moment..) shown then pull the information from the table to define each variable as i am currently doing. I am running analysis for each panel TC# and its associated information and report the results in an array format which i am not showing here. Thanks,Sam
Hi i am trying to connect via J-Link to a running session of Pro/E with the following code: System.loadLibrary("pfcasyncmt"); AsyncConnection connection = pfcAsyncConnection.AsyncConnection_Connect(null, null, null, 20); but i always get the following error: Exception in thread ;main; com.ptc.pfc.Implementation.pfcExceptions$XToolkitCantModify at com.ptc.pfc.pfcAsyncConnection.pfcAsyncConnection.AsyncConnection_Connect(Native Method)i've already checked all of my system variables, and they're all right, i can't get rid of it. Can anybody help me?
How can i remove whole tab with networkdue too high error risk of clicking on network and than waiting for it to unfreeze for 4 minutes we need to completely remove whole tab so nobody ever click this
Hello, I just wanted to ask since Creo (+) is in the cloud what protocols does PTC take to assure the users that there is no security breach? If there are security protocols (i.e. Google cloud has Data Encryption,Infrastructure Security, and Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and so on and so forth) and if PTC does have these protocols is there an open source brochure or pamphlet customers could probably look at to secure them that their data is safe. Thank you.

Hi All, I wanted to use distributed batch to run a mapkey to generate BOM text file of an assembly. It loads the first 10 models, keeps processing them, but never ends, and gives no error information. Using CREO 9 here. I have been noticing in some instances the way I build my parts can leave me with sever small/thin "sliver" surfaces. Are there any settings or parameter selections I can use to avoid creating these little slivers?
Description :I would like to open a Creo file from a web browser or embedded browser into the current Creo Parametric session by drag & drop operation.Similar to drag & drop action from a file/folder browser
Recursion of Programming. Prime 9. Prime 10.01 Prime 11 So we must use Prime 11 or Prime 9, 8, 7. Prime 10 kills auto vectorizatin of range by = and also Recursion of Programming.
I want to be able to add a sheet at the front of my drawing file on occasion when a project generates important notes. While also not being assigned a page number. Starting all my drawing templates with a "blank sheet 1" so start of the drawing package is on sheet 2 is not an option. I'd also like to create this sheet on old drawings if possible. Adding a new sheet (1) would bump all my page numbers and this is an undesired revision. If its not possible, I will stop bothering with this idea. Thanks!
I tried to output the calculation result. The ideal result would be like: "ps = k tp + b "according to the "IF processing". The "tp" here actually relates to the time, but right now I just want the result to be like the form I mentioned above. In other word, I think and hope the "tp" is just a symbol in my ideal output result. So I tried to set it as a "key word" or "constant" by setting the labels but found nothing helpful. Can any solution help me with this? Many thanks advanced !Files attached.
I am trying to perform a Vibration Analysis on an assembly in Creo Simulate (in Creo Parametric Version 10). The only input data I have is the Vibration Amplitude vs. Frequency table below. I was wondering if it is possible to do an analysis in Simulate with this type of data. Is so, would it fall under the "Shock" category under the "New Dynamic" analysis option? Or would it be under another category? An input on this matter would be helpful. Thanks.
