Hello all, since there is no direct way of creating negative volume of a part (at least as far as I know-being relative rookie) I wonder if there is any, still relatively quick, way of doing that in Creo 10. With that I have in mind Ansys Space Claim 3D modeller where it is possible to close the model with planes and create volume inside of complex geometry and these defined planes. I would want a volume of water that fills inside of a turbine rotor.  Thank you for your comments, suggestions...Best regards!

I have added 2 new states in Site >> Utilities >> Type and Attribute Management >> Customize Modeled Enumerations and after adding it to Site>>Utilities>> Lifecycle Template Adminitstration>> TKEPartLC, the new lifecycle is still not visible when I do reassign lifecycle for a given tkePart in windchill. It still shows the old lifecycle of TKEPartLC.

According to the PTC documentation, this is supported. I am not able to get this to work in Creo 7, 9 , or 10. Is anyone able to confirm that loading a light file works for them? It is possible my light files are corrupted in some way, if someone has a sample light file they can post here, I will try it. I have included one of my .lgh files for reference.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS M020-CPS12We have an issue that comes from an OOTB behavior of some APIs that updates the "Last modified by" date, but not the "Modified by" user. This is a security issue because the record on PASS SSI shows that a user who is not authorized to use PASS SSI at that particular time has modified some data, but in reality this is not the case. I have a report where I am using the historical view to show trackers at a specific baseline. Currently, I have only been able to display one baseline at a time. Is there a way to show multiple baselines in the same report? Thanks,Brian Kampling - Source Allies

Hello eveyone, I am currently using the Creo Parametric Educational version 12.4.0.0, more specifically the "Generative Design" tool but without the Generative Design Extension (GDX). What element type or meshing is used by the software/tool? The answer would help me to compare my optimized model design with results from an external FEM software.

However, PTC support says that it is available from version 11.1 and that I should inquire about previous versions through case.

Hi everyone, I’m running into an issue with ThingWorx FileRepositoryDownloader when trying to download files that contain a # character in their name. For example, I have a file in my repository called:   test#2.pdf     When I build the URL dynamically using encodeURIComponent, it looks like this:     https://<server>/Thingworx/FileRepositoryDownloader?download-repository=test.FileRepository&directRender=true&download-path=%2F1760338581178%2F1761219448752%2Ftest%232.pdf     However, the request always fails with:     HTTP 406 – Not Acceptable   and the response shows Content-Length: 0 from the ThingWorx Nginx server. If I rename the file (for example to test_2.pdf), the same request works perfectly. It seems that even though the filename is correctly encoded (%23), the FileRepositoryDownloader servlet doesn’t handle # correctly inside the download-path query string. Has anyone else encountered this before

I am working on a sample to develop my calculations.I used both If .. Then and While.But, I can get the results: J is not adding up. Looks like J keeps remaining at 1. I request help.

Hello Everyone, Has anyone succeeded in implementing a Dynamic banner on top of the Windchill page near the Windchill logo to relay messages to Users like Maintenance details of the system for example? I know of the static display banner which can be used to display text that is updated with a restart of the Windchill, but I'm looking at some ways where it needs to be dynamic without a restart of Windchill, like display content from a text file stored somewhere Thanks in advance! Amar

Hello community,Is there a way to share users across multiple projects?We have several projects where trackers are connected via reference fields. However, if a user is not a member of both the source and target projects, they either cannot see the referenced items or encounter errors when editing trackers — even in the project where they do have access.Ideally, we would like to avoid manually managing the same users across multiple projects. While we understand that not all users should have access to every connected project, it would be acceptable if broader access is required for reference resolution to work properly.Is there an option or configuration that allows tracker references to function regardless of project membership? I’ve looked through the settings but haven’t found a solution.Thank you in advance for your help!
