Hi All, When I try to open a model in Creo 9.0.6.0, it is taking more time to open (About 2 hours). The same model when opened in a different server, is taking less than 10 minutes to open. Can you please suggest what can be checked here? The server where I am facing this issue is a High clock speed server where we would generally expect better performance. ThanksHari
Hello, I am trying to install Creo 10.0 student version but when it comes to the licensing part and I enter my credentials, it's "processing" for a while, then says Error. I have no idea what to do. Thanks for the help in advance!
Does anyone know what the syntax is for placing an assembly component in Creo using Sigmaxim Smart Assembly?
I'm trying to create a script for silent installation of creo 9.0.2.0. In documentation it is said that some xmls are needed to do that. So, i installed creo 9.0.2.0 manually once and found that quality agent xml is missing. How to generate quality agent xml?

My question is about annotation - notes. The help page Understanding_Glyphs_on_the_Model_Tree does not have the explanation as to what is different about my Note_14 vs Note_19: It looks like some kind of an "out of date" glyph is applied to Note_14. But what to do about it?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.6.0Hello sir,I need to one help from your side.I have import the company logo using paintbrush in format. but how to lock the aspect ration when importing time. One more i have created format in that i have import sketch logo. When using this this frm in drw geometry color and sketch color is same , can we set using pentable in different color.
Dear PTC experiencer I would like to know that "Are there some configure to set the value column as highlight red color in attached file to show in millimeter unit? " Anyone who have experience about this. Kindly guide me how to set as my desire. Thank you in advance. James
How do you unhide a dimension? I've hidden a dimension in my dwg, and I want it back. I see that it is greyed out (and with a black square besid eit: suppressed?), yet I have no means to retrieve or unhide it.. I did find an older solution, that says I can unhide it, but I guess that "simple" method is now lost in Creo 9.. help?
I just want to know about Zoom to selected func. how they are calualting values of PanX, PanY and PanZoom. Please some one give me a quick answer. Or Any other idea how to get PanX and PanY position.it's urgent. Attached snapshot of the option.Thank you in advance.
Version: Creo 10.0.1.0Problem:I am working on a large .asm > create new empty part > activate this .prt in .asm > create a first feature (sketch, extrude, anything) > click on OK in the sketch > and creo zooms out (the larger the .asm is, the further creo zooms away). This behaviour occurs ONLY for the first feature in a new activated part. Once the .prt has any feature, creo does't do a "auto refit" when exiting the next feature sketch with Ok.Did anyone ever encounter that problem? I asked my reseller (and PTC), but nobody can replicate this type of behaviour. I tested it here in the company I am working and it is the same problem on every CAD workstation. I started Creo vanilla, without any setting and still the beviour occurs. Here are some screens. I created a large .asm (75m x 75m) by pattern a random testpart: Active a new empty part and create a sketch:As soon as I hit "OK" in the first sketch, Creo zooms out. So far, I can't even see the .asm on my screen any
Refer uploaded image - I want to change the line style of CTRLFONT_S_L, L_L, S_S, PHANTOM_S_S. All these lines are appearing change in the model. so i want to modify the line length so that i can differentiate the lines in my diagram for different pipe sizes/colors. Basically i need additional line styles to differentiate all my pipes/tubes in the plumbing diagram.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.6.0We have tool design extension in Creo. While using Mold machining, we are facing regeneration issues. for example, if we add or remove any features in source file and if we regenerate in mold machining the extract id fails. if we change the source file to its original form and if we regenerate again in mold machining the regeneration error remains the same. Here are the errors that I facedextract id failure, regeneration issues
Creo Parametric 8.0.7.0 I am trying to achieve a curve pattern that follows a specific curve, but changes its orientation according to another curve. I thought the "Follow Shape Surface" might be able to help with this, but I have never been successful in generating a pattern with that option turned on. Hopefully the pictures included give a clear idea of what I am trying to achieve. I can share models and methods I've tried if required, but it might only mislead the discussion at this time.
I am using Creo Simulate Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0 Thank you for your help. Please advise how to set boundary conditions for creo simulate. Is it possible to input boundary conditions such as temperature and pressure by mapping from other analysis results? We are using another company's thermal fluid analysis software, and would like to reflect the results obtained from fluid analysis in stress calculations. For example, structural analysis takes into consideration the pressure distribution inside a storage tank. Aside from inputting the results of another company's thermal fluid analysis software, is it possible to set boundary conditions that take into account arbitrary distributions? Hello everyone, I'm new to Creo and I am trying to figure out how to add objects to a Model.I tried to create a new Part file and add some 3D points (as an example) but I cannot see them in a Window. Also, the number of ModelItems didn't change. Could you tell me, please, how to add new ModelItems?
Hi there. I would like to export a CL file of a part from Creo Manufacturing and to then post-process it to G-Code to mill on our ProtoTrak DPM2 3-axis CNC machine (with SMX controller). The roadblock is that I don't have a post-processor for the ProtoTrak DPM2 CNC machine, so I was hoping someone could direct me through the setup process in a few bulleted points. The end goal is to be able to mill some parts with complex surfaces with our ProtoTrak CNC machine. The ProtoTrak company website states that it is the CAM software's (in this case Creo) responsibility to post process the CL to understandable G-code for their machine, which they say takes the same G-Code instruction set as a Fanuc 6 CNC machine. I also have the accepted G Codes in a manual for the specific machine open on my computer, in case anyone asks, which I will upload as a screenshot. I am using Creo Parametric version 8.0.8.0
Hello everyone and welcome back to the multibody blog series. This post also attempts to answer another body parameter related question:How can I display call-out a body parameter in a generic way? We received a question and enhancement idea from customers adopting Creo 7.0 asking for Leader Note Callouts for Bodies, similar to existing notations available for models, features etc as described in the Creo help here. (in short: Previously, when attaching a leader note to a model (component) you can get the value of a specific parameter for the attachment model. This can be achieved with the following syntax: &<param_name>:att_mdl e.g &BOM_PART_NO:att_mdl) An analogue workflow is now supported for body parameters. We implemented and added this to Creo 8.0. This enhancement allows you to call out the values of body parameters into a leader note that is attached to that body. To call out the value of a specific body parameter, you need to use the following syntax
How to find file size of a Creo Assembly (.ASM) in MB?
Can anyone tell me how to adjust the font size in the Modelcheck report? All other font in my Creo 8 GUI is adequately sized, but the Modelcheck report has very small font. Others in my organization are not having this problem. Thank you.
ptc wildfire 4problem in nested repeat tableswhat relation to insert to count the total pieces of components in the WWW sub assembly?See the attachmentwww = 2 pieces so I have to have ww1 =2 ww2=2 ww3=2 piecesIt takes a relationship I don't know aboutnote: I have now put the &rpt.qty parameters in both the Q.ty ASM and Q.ty Parti cells of the nested repeat table
Hi,I've been doing a lot of work in the generative design module and I find that Using the Design criteria Minimize mass and a specified safety factor takes much longer to find a solution for than compared to specifying a mass target. It can in some cases be 20hrs vs 1.5hrs ( highest study setting as it is for a final part). It this normal and for my understanding, why? The same seems to apply if I ever try the modal study settings. Looking at the task manager I see that the optimization switches between 100% CPU followed by 100% GPU and then back, so I presume different optimization tasks run on different hardware.
Hi, By default, the Creo installation defines the path for Start in as C:\Users\Public\Documents (marked in yellow). Our policy prohibits writing to the C:\Users\Public path, and each user can only write to their own path, which is C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\.How do you customize the path so that it is unique to each user who logs into the computer and launches Creo?
Hi, Is there an option, or a workaround to turn a simulation mesh into datum curves? Thanks
