While using Creo 9 Mechanism Dynamics Option (MDO) for analyzing design system, user is getting the error "Mechanism Dynamics is required for this analysis type". After re-installation it worked. But when Creo is closed and re-launched, again the dynamic function is lost.Because of this issue, user cannot close Creo session. If closed, this is lost.
We have both Design Essentials licenses and Design Advanced licenses. The one difference is that Design Essentials does not have the optional module Assembly (#6) in the list of modules. We can create assemblies with the Design Essentials license, so there has to be something more in the module besides just assembly creation. Does anyone have better definition of what is provided by using the Design Advanced licenses with the Assembly module over the Design Essentials license?
Hello everyone, first of all. I want the spring in the assembly part I'm using to be movable. I've tried a lot of videos on this topic, but I couldn't assemble the springs I made the way I wanted. Can you help me with this?
Does anyone know how/if possible to save a part file or assembly to an older version of creo? Example: a part or assembly made in Creo 7.0 save a version that can be opened back in Creo 6.0
Hello, Does anyone used Creo on MS Azure ? If yes, can you please describe your rendering experience and the hardware specs you are using ? Thank you.
To have config option to enable draw scale to dynamically update according to the scale defined in the latest view placed in the Drawing. This should happen irrespective of any representations used in the view. Business justification: Whenever a view is placed under the config option default_draw_scale with value -1, the view will get placed with scale defined by creo based on sheet size the overall dimension of the 3D model. the Default value of the draw scale in the Title block do not get changed automatically while the scale of the view will be different than draw scale. This leads to confusion when sent to vendors.
Hello. I am wondering that if it is possible to manage the assembly references in part mode. For example, i would like to open a part in assembly mode, then i will replace the reference for that part in part mode.
Hello, everybody:I am trying to generate a PVZ file using simplified reps to only show a part of a bigger assembly. In the Annotate tab of CREO I have the correct components on display but when I export the file to CREO view I get extra components that should be hidden. Any idea of why this happens and how I could fix this? I have attached photos of the CAD view and the PVZ output below. Thanks in advanced for the help 🙂
Hi alls,I'll have to go and work at my client office soon.I must use my notebook (Win 7 x64) with Wildfire 2 and Intralink 3.4.Now, I'm working with Creo 2/3, what a big change...So, I'm wondering if those a little bit old softwares will work on my Win10 x64 computer or must I install an older OS (win7, x32/64... ?)Thanks for any advice,Dominique
I could open parts fine in Creo 3 M120 / WC 10.2 fine for years but then recently I get the "cannot be retrieved" error whenever I try and open something from my workspace. I have tried the following so far:1. Using another PC - same error2. Logging in with another user on my pc - works fine3. Reinstalling Creo 3 M120 on my pc - error persists4. Clearing cache - error persists5. Deleting all existing workspaces and creating a new one - error persists6. Deleting user and re-adding in WC - error persists I think it must be a Creo agent issue or something similar? I have run out of ideas...
I would very much like to add a column to my BOM then make the lines invisible. I want to have one or more parameters attached to the BOM but off the page of the drawing because no ones going to like having a bunch of lines on the page to the right of the BOM like a column didn't get printed.
Software: Creo Parametric 7.0.10.0 I want to assign some sheet metal design rules and have created one. Can we verify those rules in the model. I tried using "MODEL CHECK Rule Check". But I'm getting this error "Cannot read rules from file". I have saved the rules in this filename "design_rule_test.rul" (as saved from Model properties). But in creo documentation, it is mentioned that the file should have ".rule" extension. I have also created "RC_MODEL_TYPE" parameter. How to do this correctly. Am I doing something wrong?
Dear Team,I have created a custom parameter into the assembly, Now I want to call this parameter into BOM table. I know how to use repeat region, but I am not able to call the assembly custom parameter into drawing BOM table. Please help.
I cannot find the setting, I believe in the DTL to change the default behavior for new projected views. What we want is for the view to come in WITHOUT any of the annotations displayed. I have seen this behavior in the past (at different company/installations) but we see all the annotations that are in the acceptable orientation display and we are forced to do a bunch of cleanup work. We would like to eliminate that. thanks in advance!
hi All I am facing an issue with a 3D assembly. Everytime I open the assembly with a simplified representation (not Master or automatic) and regenerate the model, the model changes partially to wireframe (not all parts, only some of them) and these parts are not selectable anymore. does anyone have and idea what the problem here is? Creo 7.0.12.0 with Windchill 11 thanks in advance
How do you modify the config.pro file on Creo 4.0 M-150.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.8.0Is there any possibilty to copy as external representation in toolkit? (similar to Copy As External command in Creo)
Hi everyone, I'm experiencing an issue with Creo 9.0.1.0 Parametric Educational Edition, as the program does not let me export drawings in PDF format if they contain certain symbols. For example, the following drawing is exported correctly:While if I change the radius dimension to a diameter one, containing the symbol Φ instead of the letter R, as in the following:I get this error:And the export is not carried out.Has anyone experienced the same issue and know how to solve it?Thank you very much,Andrea.
Is there any way to change the line weights of a sketch made in a .prt or .asm when you print out the .drw it's used in? The pen tables don't do anything, the the line style can change the color, but doesn't seem to do anything about weight, changing the options in the 3D cad app doesn't seem to propogate the change to the PDF. Any ideas? Thanks! I'm on creo 9
Dear all, Currently I do make BOM by using a templated table in 2D environment. The quantity parameter is working just fine because this method counts how many parts of each do exist in the assembly. However I also need the quantity in my individual part drawings and my struggle comes from this need. To tackle this issue I tryed to use the EMX BOM but is not suitable since I need to change a lot of parameters manually and everytime I update the BOM, most of them change automatically to the original ones. However the filling of the individual quantity parameter works just fine. My question is: Is there a possiblity to create a button to fill and update the individual part quantity parameter, only, in order to appear in the individual part 2D drawing? Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone, Please help me adding the full file path name in drawing print out. Is it a printer setting or creo config's setting? Let me know please.
Hello,I am using Creo 7.0.9.0 and have a question about adding notes to a drawing. I am creating GD&T feature control frames by manually typing it into a note so I can put it on an angle, as seen below. (This was a drawing I made a while back). Now, I am trying to re-create this same thing on a new drawing, but the feature control frame is hovering above the leader line, as seen below I have tried to copy and paste from the old drawing to the new drawing and it still causes the 'hovering' look. I've gone through drawing properties to see if any config settings would be applicable but nothing is standing out. It appears as if something in our drawing template has changed but I'm not sure what. Would anyone be able to help me out so that there is no gap between the leader line and feature control frame?
Creo 7.0 I've been working in an assembly for a week. Just today when I add anymore cad geometry to it I get a "frozen" symbol. If I fully mate the part down it appears correct until I hit ok. Then it jumps to another location and in my model tree I get the pause or "frozen" symbol. I can delete/re-add mates, or try reinserting the parts, but I get the same result. Not sure what's going on. Maybe I accidentally triggered an option somewhere? Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you!
