Hello friends, I am using Creo parametric 8.0.4.0, I have a task my collogue shared the model and I have done the task nearly 90% and now my collogue shared the new model, which is modified, now again I have to do the task from first or there is any other way to update the work of previous model with the new model. So can anyone help me with this problem.Thank you
I'm working on a project and have encountered a challenge with changing the reference point of a triangle in Creo. As illustrated in the attached picture, I need to move the reference from its current location on one of the triangle's vertex to a designated point shown in red. Any suggestion?
I'm working on a project that requires me to view dimensions in both metric and imperial units for parts and assemblies. Is there a way to enable dual dimension display in Creo Parametric for this purpose?I've looked through the Configuration Editor but couldn't find a definitive answer. If anyone knows how to set this up or if it's even possible, your advice would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance for your assistance!
I am working on creating an application to insert parts into an assembly. I want to be able to recognize that a model being has predefined flexibility. When operating Creo manually if you insert a model with predefined flexibility Creo will tell you that and ask if you want to use it. However there does not seem to be an equivalent function in the C++ toolkit. What I have been trying to use is the method wfcWModel::isVariantFeatModel(), however this always returns false. I have tried using pfcSession::RetrieveModel() and pfcSession::GetModelFromFilename() to retrieve the model before checking it, but both yield the same result.I am hoping that someone may have some insight to make this work.I will also note that the method wfcWComponentFeat::IsFlexible() exists but this will only recognize components that already have flexibility 'turned on'
Hi, I am using Creo 9 and I have a geometrically complicated part I would like to copy hole positions from. Basically I'd like to create a rectangular piece that contains the holes from the original file. In the image below you can see the original part in the middle, and the new part shown as a rectangle. I basically want to fill the area between the original part and the rectangle with material. Any ideas how to do this without major headache?
I'm currently working on an assembly project in Creo and have run into some issues that I hope you all could help me resolve. How to Fix a Component in an Assembly?I've been trying to fix a particular component within an assembly. Could someone guide me through the steps to do this properly? What Does the Square Symbol in Front of a Component Name Indicate?I've noticed that some of my component names in the assembly feature a square symbol in front of them. What does this indicate, and how does it affect my assembly?Steps for Creating a Section View?I need to create a section view of my assembly for analysis. Can anyone provide me with a step-by-step guide on how to accomplish this in Creo? How to Make a Component Free-Moving in an Assembly?I want to allow a component to move freely within an assembly, separate from the fixed components. How can I set this up?Your guidance would be immensely helpful for my project. Thank you in advance!
I just created another pagination, but this time I want the 2nd portion to be on sheet two. Can someone walk me through this. Most of the search on this were over 10 years old.
Hi All.In Creo 4.0 Toolkit how to Get Surface or edge or Curve from the view.if anyone knows please Help.Thanks.
I'm in a situation where I have to modify a SOLIDWORKS part from Mcmaster using Creo Parametric. I successfully imported the SOLIDWORKS file into Creo, but it appears as a 'dumb solid' and I don't see any original planes that were used in SOLIDWORKS.Has anyone else faced this issue? If so, what's the best way to go about creating planes for modification purposes?
Could someone explain "scaling" in the display options when viewing simulate results? If it's kept at zero is what's displayed a realistic deformation?
In our MFG file we have ~400-600 sequences per operation and doing the reordering of the of the sequence takes time.To apply these sequences, we used UDFs and in 2-3 clicks the sequences are applied.Using Process Manager, XML templates with priority options is not a good idea for us, the reason being we have a bunch of custom macros and will take longer to apply in Process Manager. Are you facing this problem on your MFG file?Do you have any solution or workaround to improve time during reordering of the sequences?I understood for other CAD Application reordering is very fast this is why CAM department is looking now for a different CAM software.
remote user contacted me about two computers they use for simulation that are running Creo 5.0.1.0. All the workstations I knew about have been upgraded to Creo 9.0.4.0 and we'd like to upgrade these two computers to 9.0.4.0. How can I see which extensions, options, etc were installed with 5.0.1.0 so I can make sure to enable the same extensions with 9.0.4.0?
I have Creo 9 and 10 installed but Creo 7 is our production version. When Creo 9 or 10 gets installed the browser in Creo 7 stops working. Browser is set to Chrome. Any idea how to prevent 9 or 10 from changing the browser in 7? Install is a local install.
Hello, allI use volume rough with a large tool and then use local milling ( previous sequence ) to remove rest of material with samll tool. while I want to keep some area not to be machined by local milling step, can anyone help me on this? thanks
Hi 1. I have a issue with displaying assemblies (using Creo Parametric 8.0.7.0). Sometimes I have different family table instance component displayed on assembly view than is defined in family table and displayed in assembly tree. What might be the reason? 2. I have also an issue with drawings. Sometimes on drawing view (with assembly) I have missing component but when I opening assembly that is presented on the drawing it is complete. What might be the reason?
I just paginated a BOM/Table and am wondering how to get the footer (in my case) to be added to the 2nd segment of the table.
Hello, When I try to install the licence for creo student using setup I have an error message. What can I do ?Thank you
Dear Community Is there a way to create a three dimensional patterns? Ideally with coordinate systems, for the orientation of the instances?Best wishes Alex
I would like to know why my image in my frame (.frm) keeps disappearing. The failure keeps coming and going and I can´t tell what the cause is. It is the same with drawings (.drw) when I insert an photo or image it may be lost by the next opening of the file. When I insert and image in a .frm it may be gone sometime and / or when I insert and image into an .drw I may be gone too. For .drw I recognized that not all pictures disappear. For example when I have 4 sheets in one .drw and sheet 2, 3 and 4 include images and the images on sheet 4 disappear the sheets 2 and 3 mostly (8/10) still having their images. In the object overview (.frm) in the layout tab I can see the object but not visually in the drawing area. I only can see a single "drag-point" outside of the frame / drawing (See attached screenshot). When I push the cursor above the point it shows me the vertical draging arrows but the point is completly frozen onto the layer and will not move whatsoever. How I insert an
Hi, We design painted parts and parts with surface finishes, where dimensions on drawings and annotated parts, are for the finished part. This causes a problem because when we send a step file to a supplier for machining, they must recreate a model and offset the surfaces to be the part "before manufacturing", they also need to create a control drawing with all of the corrected dimensions to control the part before painting or surface treatement.Does Creo propose an automated way to correct the 3d model and drawings to adjust the dimensions with a given offset? The same question goes for offset tolerances (10mm-0+0.1 for instance), suppliers will recreate a model and offset the surfaces to have a model with only mid-tolerance dimensions. Does Creo propose an automated way to correct dimensions to have only mid-toleranced parts?
I'd like to create parametric bom ballons for my connector pins. When i try and use the "Create Balloon" feature I get an error message stating "This is not a BOM ballon region."
hello expert facing strange issue creo 10 unresponsive when save the part or open the new part or open the part from assembly. before 15 sept 2023 every thing is going fine creo 10 work smoothly.. but i don't know what happen ..creo 10.000 install with window 10 ..any solution please note..... one thing i found if i open the software with internet connection enable on my pc then problem occurred ..but if i unplugged the internet cable then start the creo ..problem gone ..and its happening from last 3 day before it every thing work perfectly with or without internet connection regards Asif
I'm currently facing a peculiar issue in Creo Parametric while working on a 3D part, and I'm hoping to get some guidance from you all. Here's the situation: I have two parallel lines that I'm working with. One line is part of a 2D sketch, created on a specific plane. The other line exists on the original 3D body of the part. When I select both lines to measure the distance between them, it's displaying as zero, which is obviously incorrect.I initially assumed that the line from the 3D body would automatically project onto the sketch plane, giving me the correct distance. It seems that isn't happening. My Questions Are:1. **Is the zero distance reading possibly a result of the lines existing in different planes?**2. **Does Creo Parametric automatically project 3D lines onto a 2D sketch plane for measurement, or do I need to do this manually?**3. **If manual projection is required, what are the steps to project a 3D line onto a 2D sketch plane?**4. **Once projected, how can I a
I am adding explode lines to an explode view in Creo but I can't change the direction of the lines when they are pointing in the wrong direction. The flip button is greyed out.
Hi I am following the tutorial steps and I am trying to select the shading from display style for 2D. However, the system does not allow me to select it. Is t
