I am using Creo Parametric - Release 6.0 (connected) 6.0 6.0.4.0Y-201-31-0209_CL_PIPING.ASM is locked in the workspace, but it will show "modified in session" in the server status column, please see the attached screenshot.would you please check if there is a problem with status?
Hi Is there a way to lock joints temporarily when dragging components.
Is there any way you can make a block or symbol on a drw and then have the user be able to click that block and have the users go to a Windchill object? We have these P&IDs with a bunch of symbols on them that link to objects in Windchill. We want the user to be able to click on P&ID and go to the object page. Anyone have any solution suggestions? Thanks, Kenny.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.6.01. CCX, which creates the necessary cross section while running CCX and viewing the analysis results, is terminated. Is it possible to do cross-section work while looking at the result in a state where it cannot be finished?2. How to adjust the line drawing and thickness displayed when viewing CCX progress?-----------------------------Translated this post from Korean to English at 1:37pm IST(done by vnamboodheri) Subject was: CCX를 실행하고 분석 결과를 보면서 필요한 단면생성하는 CCX가 종료됨Body was - 1. I have a part model that has part level parameters that seemingly impossible to delete: The issue seems to be because they were once used in a sketch feature to drive a text label I've deleted all the features in the part and yet these parameters persist. Did anyone encounter this kind of a situation and what was your work-around?
Hi,I would like to know if there is any approach generate this geometry just redefining a feature curve end getting this geometry (see OK.png) The idea is adjusting this sketch curve the solid geometry to be update, but I was not able to achieve it just changing the feature curve. I'm able to generate this geometry (see NOT OK.png), but I don't need the round ends. I was thinking if there is any flexible modeling feature or any approach to remove the round ends. Thx,CC
I am attempting to add a marker on a pre-defined cable assembly. The part is in assembly mode, and I am unable to open the cable assembly separately. I see online that I am supposed to use a marker. To Apply Marker to a Cable1.Click Cosmetics > Marker. The Marker tab opens.2.Select a segment of the marker.3.To accept the default length, diameter and thickness click the check mark. 4.The marker is created with the default values and the tab is closed automatically. I cannot find the 'cosmetics' icon to create the marker while in assembly mode. Can anyone help direct me?
Hi, I am a secondary teacher I am using Creo parametric 7.02 and there seems to be an issue in the render studio. When editing a material I alter it in terms of rotation or scale and then when it’s rendered it changes and isn’t what I have set up. Has a anyone else had that issue or can you give me any advice.
Hello, ProGtoldataPlacementGet is deprecated in Creo 9 and it says that it was superseded by ProGtolAttachGet. One of the fields that ProGtoldataPlacementGet would retrieve is the ProGtolPlacementType which is the field that I need. Is there another way to get the ProGtolPlacementType, or do I have to convert the switch cases I have over to the ProGtolAttachType instead? Thanks,Mark
I have a very annoying problem that I have just recently discovered in my FEA models. The issue appears to be present in an older version of Creo 2.0 and an a newer version of Creo 7.0 and it has taken me countless hours of frustration and failed meshing to figure it out. For some reason I can take a model where all my pinned joints are perfectly aligned (this can be verified by checking with the measure tool) and import them into Simulate only to have them shift ever so slightly (like 0.00003mm misaligned). The problem is that the shift is just enough to prevent AutoGEM from meshing the parts and no amount of reconstraining or regenerating the parts will fix the misalignment. Generally the only way to fix the problem is to close out everything and reopen the models and try meshing again. This is incredibly frustrating and wastes a significant amount of time. Anyone know how to fix this?
Hi all Sometimes, my users doesn't defined clealy their kinematic links. They forget to put a regen value and active it.... I activate the MECH_COMPONENTS and set it to W in interact, but when i test it, MC only show me the parts with kinematic links even they are completetly defined. Can i set ModelCheck to control the correct definition? Regards Dom
From what I can tell, if I want to change the model representation (using a simplified rep) that is used in a view and a repeat region BOM, one must change them both separately. Either one is changed/switched, the dwg deletes all the attachments and balloons that have been organized to each component, and this is regardless of which one is done first. Does anyone know how to swap both the view and the Repeat Region Representations so that the balloons and attachments for the remaining components (the ones not excluded by the simp. rep.) are not lost?
As per this thread - same issue Good afternoon, Sorry to reopen this old post but it is related. I'm trying to open a drw via Jlink, it works correctly BUT it don't open the window with the various sheets this: Instead of this: Anybody has some hints? Thanks in advance.
I need to support two licence files (different companies) on the same server. Its easy enough to set the ports to different numbers, but ptc_d insists on creating lockptc_d in /var/tmp. Setting TMPDIR doesn't seem to help. Does anyone know a way (or an environment variable) to force it to create its lockfile elsewhere? The issue is that when starting the second server, it can't open the lockfile and then dies. Thanks,
I am implementing a material nonlinear simulation for an aluminum tube. I fixed an end of the tube and used displacement constraint to another end.The ultimate stress of the material is 440MPa. What simulation or how to set up parameter to measure the moving constraint when the ultimate stress reaches exactly 440Mpa?
Hello, I'm trying to make a stack in Creo, but the button to start printing is disabled. USB is currently connected. Is it a problem that requires a separate license? Or is there another problem? Thank you.
Dear PTC Community, maybe this is trivial, anyway I ask: how to do left-handed threads in PTC Creo Parametric 9.0?Thank you for your cooperation Stefano Cristofanelli
I have modeled half of a sheetmetal part. I then selected the part in the model tree and mirrored it. In the options for the mirror I have selected "Merge to model". How do I join these two parts along the seam created by the mirror, on the top surface? I would have thought that "Merge walls" was the tool I needed, but I can't get that to work with any combination of selected surfaces.
We are having an issue with the model tolerance showing up when we export a drawing to PDF. We've tried changing the tol_display option in the .dtl file but that removes all tolerances (even in dimensions). Any help on getting this to not export to the PDF would be greatly appreciated!
I am trying to implement a search path file for the first time in an assembly. I have it mostly working, but there is one component I don't fully understand. In the directory where the assembly is located I have a config.pro that points to the search_path_file (search.pro) located in the same directory. The search.pro then points to 3 other directories where appropriate parts for the assembly are located. In the search.pro, I have the directories contained in quotes because they contain spaces. How I would expect this to work:Launch CreoMy start-in directory is in My DocumentsI "Select Working Directory" and choose the directory that contains the assemblyThe parts are found and the assembly loadsHowever, this doesn't work. Parts are not found and the assembly fails. In the Creo configuration editor, I cannot see the working directory config.pro nor the search_path_file option that in that configuration file. As seen in the image below, using this method, only the master confi
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.0.0-61 error every 15 to 20 days coming,The Port problem was detected (7788) last time it was resolved but the recently same problem was repeated.LmTool also reinstated and check along with FLEXnet also but after a period of time it happened again and again Here are the errors that I faced-61 error
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.5.0How can we configure Display model modification history tabs in Creo ( Item name, Change description, User etc)(OR)Where I can find the property ProParameterVisit().
hi, We need to upgrade the project implemented with CP3.0&VS2012 to CP6.0&VS2017. For migration, the VS2017 project was configured and built in the same way as the existing VS2012 project properties. At first, an error stating that protk_dll.lib could not be found occurred, so the input value of the linker was changed to protk_dll_NU.lib.Numerous LNK2019s occur after the change. I am attaching the project file, thank you for your help. P.S.Create a project by moving the protoolkit folder that comes with the CP6.0 installation to D:\Users\header\C6.0.For the difference, the project built in VS2012 is also attached. The difference between the two projects is the referenced linker and C/C++ paths (C6.0 and C3.0), and the input protk_dll and protk_dll_NU of the linker properties.
Using CREO 7 and somewhat new to using the body function. We are trying to figure out why in skeletons you can't mirror a body with an axis that was created in the body we are trying to mirror. So we select the body (actual body, not extrude in model tree), select axis created in body, then mirror body/axis with a datum. The body will mirror perfectly but the axis doesn't show up. The only way we can get the axis to mirror is to do it separately. Any ideas on how to do this in the same mirror?
Hello, I have a problem, that I need to create pattern of metal sheets (see attachment), that changes his length according to inclination of dump and number of reinforcement (in the picture there are 3 but can be more or less according to type dump). It's only done by extrusion, so it's not assembly but part. Any suggestions how to do it? Thanks
