Creo+ and Creo Parametric

In the Windchill Server Status column of the model tree, I have two components that show an icon appearing as a red stop sign with a white exclamation mark in the center.  Hoovering over this icon gives the message: "Locked as Read Only Modified in Session".  I have not done any modifications to these components - so what does this mean?  What can be done to correct this?

Hi  I am using Creo 4 with windchill 12 I would like to show in the Model Tree the family table parameter 'Verification Status', is it possible? Imagine that you have an instance not verified: This instance is mounted inside an assembly. Could you see in the assembly model tree a column with "Verification Status"?Thank you very much 

We have an assembly where we have deleted some components but that has left behind some assembly points. These points cause regeneration errors and now we are trying to delete them, but there is no delete option. When opened in the Reference Viewer, the point shows no parent and no children dependencies, only a missing reference to a non-existent parent. Anyone have any idea how to remove these point features from our model?

In Creo Simulate Live Fluids, every system I try to model that includes a heat load (or object with a prescribed temperature) results in the whole system rapidly diverging to infinite temperature. As an example, I would like to model free convective and radiative heat transfer from a simple system consisting of a small hot body attached to an aluminum heatsink (above) and a thin copper sheet below, floating in air, but have been unable to model this in such a way that the temperature of everything does not rapidly diverge to infinity. Analogous simulations in Live Thermal behave as expected.Is there something I'm missing? Anyone have an example of a model of a simple PCB with chips and heatsinks in air (or similar) with a live fluid sim setup that works?I have been unable to locate any examples or validation models for Creo Simulate Live Fluids in the Creo documentation (the documentation for this extension is really sparse), but would love to review such items if they exist.I am using

I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.4.0If a part is created with reference to a red segment(Snap1). Now, I want to select a new segment. When i try to edit the SOlid pipe, I am not able to select a new segment, which was possible in earlier versions. In creo 7 the segments are considered as part of the body due to which it does not allow to replace the existing segment with the new one.If we try to replicate in Creo 4, it works well

Hi All, I was wondering if it was possible to somehow link an existing Excel file with a drawing I have created. I want to (if possible) link my existing BOM data (excel file) with my drawing and when I update the excel file I want the drawing BOM table to also be updated. I don't know if this is possible but would be great as at least from my experience creating and formatting individual columns/rows is not fun at all (hahaha).  Thanks for any replies!

Hi All,I have written an application for Creo Parametric 4.0 M150 that utilizes the free VB API. Everything works fine on my computer with a bare install. However, when I deploy to someone who is using 3DExperience Enovia, I get an error at a very specific command – IpfcComponentFeat.SetConstraints(). The error is: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x800706F4): A null reference pointer was passed to the stub. I am indeed passing a null value, but per the documentation:The method IpfcComponentFeat.SetConstraints() allows you to set the constraints for a specified assembly component. I saw this question listed back in 2015 but never answered. What does "Remove Top Status" do when you right click in the layer tree.  I've only seen it recently since I've been on Creo 7.  

Creo 8.0.3 stopped functioning a few days ago. Nothing happens when the executable is run, either by clicking on it or running via command prompt. I was able to uninstall Creo, but the installation executable also will not run. Nothing happens in either case, no error messages or warnings. This is on a Surface Studio, with an Nvidia RTXA2000 running Win11.

Just created a new part and when I do the following to Create a Diameter Dimension for a Revolved Section:     1. Right-click and choose Dimension from the shortcut menu or click Sketch > Normal.     2. Select the entity to be dimensioned.     3. Select the centerline that will be the axis of revolution.     4. Select the entity again.     5. Middle-click to place the dimension. The dimension is created.   I get " this dimension type is not allowed" and "cannot create specified dimension". This was working in a different part seconds ago.  Why won't it work in the new part?

Hi,There are separate machines for Creo view adapters. I configured them as Windows service (GSworkers).In some machines, the service needs to be manually restarted after the machine restart.Some machines, its get started automatically.All machines' service settings are the same and the config is also the same in Windchill UI. The below error is coming after the restart of the machine in those machines.  Help to fix it, so that the services get started automatically.

 The above image shows simulation result of a random vibration analysis. This is the first time I see a vibration simulation result with the total effective mass greater than 100%. How could it be allowed by Simulate to do this? Is there any software patch to prevent this kind of error? 

See pictures above. I am having trouble editing the tolerance on a drawing. Only the one that I want to change isn't working of course. I think it might have something to do with it being a draft dimension. Thanks in advance!

ive searched, and cant find a solution.  creo 3.0 M120 crashes when i try to save as a .pvz file.  the assembly isnt even that large of a file.  any input?

I am investigating the usage and implementation of MBD fro my division and have come across several road blocks.  I understand that while I am using Creo Parametric 2.0 and it is not "Truly" MBD friendly, I am still attempting to create a complete set of drawings for a product.  I have been able to create the 6 basic view orientations and save them as presentation "tabs" under Annotation.  I have also been able to create full view sections and detail them.  I have an assembly view that has a lot of little components in a small area, in order to define these, I need to create a detail of a section view or a partial section view.  Where I am having problems is creating either a partial section view or a detail view of a section view.  Does anyone have experience with these type of view creations?  Or does anyone have a suggestion to get around this? Thanks in advance for your time and assistance.

As per the post, Having the same problem.  Datum Feature Symbol appears at the same place on every single sheet of a drawing.  Creating a new sheet results in the same problem.  Symbol cannot be selected while on any ribbon tab, whether alt is held down or not.

Hi,  I am having this weird issue where a random datum feature has appeared on every single sheet I have on a drawing I am working on. This feature shows up on even sheets that have no drawing model associated with it. Has this ever happened to anyone else and does anyone know how I can get rid of this? I literally can't even click on it and it comes up on each sheet in the exact same place. Any info would be appreciated.
