Creo+ and Creo Parametric

I am using Creo Parametric 8.0 8.0.1.0How to perform feature operations such as delete, resume, suppress and replace. I have been using pfcSolid.ExecuteFeatureOps() API which causes error pfcXToolkitBadContext. I searched through PTC documents and most of them are referring to enable deprecated config options CS181059. I want to set configuration option regen_failure_handling to resolve_mode however it requires special key as per CS260154.Please provide the special key mentioned in the CS260154 or an alternative function to perform these feature operations in WebLinkHere are the errors that I facedWhile using regen_failure_handling config option, user is presented with the warning message To use a deprecated config option, you will need to supply an authorization code with allow_deprecated_config. As of 3/19/2022, with the most up-to-date Windows update. Creo, starting from 6.0 to 8.0.3 will now function on Windows 11. 

Am I missing something or does dm_overwrite_contents_on_update actually do nothing for me?  The description states: 'Yes: Windchill Workspace Update will overwrite locally/modified out of date objects with the ones in the server. No (Default): Windchill Workspace Update will update metadata only.', however I still get anything modified locally only updating the meta data unless I change it to overwrite.  We are seeing a lot of overwritten data recently. Creo 7.0.3.0 / WC 12.0.2.1

Hi.In its simplest form, what I am trying to acheive is to have a datum plane in an assembly drive the position of a datum in parts.Lets say I create a datum 200mm from the default top datum plane in the assembly and call this ASM length.If I then create a part and constrain this part in the default position in assembly. I create a datum plane in the part called PRT length. I want to the position of PRT length to be equal to the ASM length ( 200mm).So when I create a family table of the assembly, each instance will have a different value for ASM length.I  intend to have multiple parts in the assembly all having the Part length datum controlled by ASM length. In its more complex form each part will have feature positions driven by the assembly datums. Which is the best approach to acheiving this outcome?. Thanks for your help in advance. 

I am setting up a new laptop and need to install the Creo Parametric software on it for the first time. I would like someone to contactme and help me through the process as there are no install files or documentation at this Company to use for the process.I have downloaded the files that were shown for the install, MED-100WIN-CD-420_5-0-6-0_Win64Not sure exactly what files are used to install Creo Parametric from this folder, can anyone help me with this install?Thanks,

We have a user that runs Parametric and Keyshot on an officially supported machine:Dell Precision 3630 with Quadro P2200.They have been getting crashes recently and I am struggling to locate the exact cause. I have noticed that Keyshot uses all available CPU resources as by design, but that does mean his other applications are fighting for resources.My question: If I were to buy an Nvidia RTX 3000 series card (not Quadro) for Keyshot and run both cards in the system, can I force Creo to use the Quadro which is still supported? Or will Creo potentially use the unspported RTX?

HI,I'm an beginner in  Creo Parametric ui customization. I'm trying to create ribbon tab with group and button, but can only create the button cascade that have sub-menu. How to create just a button with no any cascade in it ?Per the post, other questions mentioned in this thread with saving .rbn file I have already resolved, and now I'm confused why I can't design simple button.  

Hello, So recently I started implementing skrinwrap features on my skeletons for my routings on cabling. One issue I have been having is that sometimes it works perfectly when I delete a model or component from a higher level assembly and other times it just appears unusable, in other words, I try to update the skeleton (selecting automatic from manual) and the Reference tab doesn't allow me to select which body I want to delete. So here is the general process I'm following.  Create Harness assembly -> create skel -> create shrinkwrap feature inside the skel -> grab manual bodies/surfaces -> select it as external shrinkwrap -> select manual updates -> ok Is there anything I'm missing? Why sometimes it works as intended and sometimes it doesn't?  Thanks and regards.

Hi,in manufacturing when I use the material removal simulation, a std.out file is generated in the working directoryIt also does this using Creo Parametric with default settings, and it is not possible to delete it while the program is open.I thinks in previous versions of Creo Parametric this file was not created.Is this normal or are there any setups to fix?Thanks Attachments file

I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.4.0How do i change a helical CUT to a PROTRUSION?

I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.5.0I am having issues with Creo crashing when trying to add views to a drawing for sheet metal parts. I am able to initially add both a flat state and generic drawing view. However at some point after adding both view types, and trying to add another view to detail, I get a warning message (Error(s) in Q:\Engineer_Creo\Configs\prodetail.dtl. See datafile.ers) and Creo will crash if I try to place the view. Is the file "datafile.ers" saved in a specific location? Hey guys,   I know that when creating table with Creo, it is possible to change table line display and put it to blank so the line is hidden. I want to hide a row line in my table, is there a command doing it and which command is it?   Example if I have a table with one column and 4 rows. I am using Creo Parametric - Release 3.0 (connected) Release 3.0 and DatecodeM130I was attempting to do an extrude operation to remove material. And then I attempted a hole operation to remove material for the same reason. On each occasion that caused a crash. I receive an error message stating Fatal error encountered. I have been working with Creo 2 for many years but have now come across an issue that I am unable to solve.I have produced a 3D CAD assembly and placed 3 views in an existing drawing format. To fit into the format the scale has had to be reduced.This part has to be at a scale of 1:1 but is too large even to fit into an A0 format. Is there a way to increase the scale of the drawing format?The drawing is for BIM (Building information modelling) purposes and the requirement is for full size.

At times we have a foot that is added to an assembly. The foot can have multiple configurations of extensions - leveler A, leveler B, caster A, caster B, .....  Also there are multiple sizes of feet.....   When updating or creating a new generic, is there a way to insert (assemble) a group into an assembly without it becoming a subassembly (would like them to stay individual parts that can be turned on/off in instances). If there are 10 parts with 9 of the parts constrained to the first part, I would like to insert the 10 parts at once constraining the first part to the assembly.   Thanks, Dale

I have placed it with ProDwgtabledataOriginSet and ProMousePickGet until now. I want it to be place automatically next an already existing table. Do you know how to do it? Or how to get the coordinate position of the existing table so I can place the new one next it. Thank you!

All dot lines (center line, axis, dotted line, etc.) appear as solid lines.I reinstalled and overwritten the config file and setup file with the existing ones.Before re-installation, it appeared as a dotted line properly.

Everytime I open my last project in the Flow Analysis, my results from the last session are gone, like Stream Lines, Sections, XY Plots etc. I always save the file and the project and open the .spro file, which is created automatically everytime I save the file.

Multibody - Model Tree Auto-locate Capability Update – Creo 7.0 vs Creo 8.0 & Creo 9.0    Hello all,   As I got a few comments & questions from time-to-time about the auto-locate functionality and its behavior, I wanted to shed some light on Auto-locate configurations and related changes between Creo 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0.   What is auto-locate? Auto-locate is the capability to automatically find, show and highlight selected items in the tree. When you select geometry in the graphics, auto-locate will find the feature that created that geometry, expand nested tree hierarchy levels where required, and scroll the tree so you can see the tree node of that feature. When auto-locate was introduced, features were shown only once (e.g there was single node in the model tree representing the feature) and so there was no ambiguity as to which tree node instance of the feature to actually auto-locate to.   #1)  Creo 7.0:  With the introduction of Multi-body

Is there any way to disable the pop up tool bar in the drawings? I hate this thing. It's always in the way of whatever it is I am trying to select.

The sample is having parts with the Assembly feature (Assembly cut) which is having a reference to the feature (Cut) present in the Assembly. When I tried to tessellate the part by surfaces the Cut feature is not present. Also, when trying to select the surfaces using the pfcCreateModelItemSelection method results in a pfcXInvalidSelection exception. I am using Creo parametric version 8.0.2.0 with the Creo Object toolkit C++. 

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.2.0One of our user's are experiencing issues with "Auto-traceback info" - Fatal error encountered.
