Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Refer to the screenshot, people want to move all these balloons downwards by simply dragging the snap lines downward. By right now the snap lines can only be dragged to move sideward. Is the any way to drag these balloons downward with one move and at the same time keep them on the snap lines? Thanks.

Hey all, So, I know you can't add tolerances themselves into the .hol file but Is there a way to show the modified dimensions that had tolerances added to it after the hole was created? For example:Let's say in my hole file, I have a tap decimal diameter dimension of .397 and want the position limits to be .401 and .396. After I created the hole, I applied tolerances to the dimension but the note doesn't update with the new tolerance but rather uses the static value from the .hole chart. Or let's say I have a countersink diameter and my csinkdiam is .500 and want to apply a +.010/-.000 tolerance. How can I get that to automatically show up in the notes?

During sketching I often run into this constraint and I would like to disable it, the problem is, this one is not in the list of constraints in the options menu. A google search has not been fruitful.  I do not want the points of a box I am sketching to snap onto other references, I know I can right click to disable it but would prefer to not have to deal with this constraint at all. Any tips would be appreciated.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and Datecode M120.I previously came from a large Aerospace corporation where we had hundreds of Creo users, and Creo was installed locally on each client, and configuration files were managed on a network share.In my current role, Creo Parametric is installed on a network share, and users are instructed to launch a client side bat file that contains "W:\Creo 4.0\M120\Parametric\bin\parametric.exe", W:\ being a network drive. We have roughly 20 Creo users. Actually launching and running Creo from a shared network resource is new to me.Once Creo is launched and up and running, are there any performance impacts to be concerned about with this configuration, compared to having Creo installed locally on each client?

In an assembly, one part was swapped out with another. The old part was deleted. The assembly model is still looking for the old part even though it cannot be found in the model tree. The message is:     If the model 1027_4000 and its instance 1027_4001 are recreated, the assembly is "happy". (Still do not see it in the model tree.) Clear memory and rename it ZZ1027_4000 and the error returns.   How can I find: Component id 429 in my assembly. Thanks, Dale

I sometimes create parts that are supposed to simulate the actual part but cost a fraction to produce. Ie the machined part should have the correct mass, center of gravity and ideally same, or similar responses as the purchased component. It will then be used for harsh mechanical testing, instead of potentially destroying an expensive component.This is a tedious trial and error process but is there a way of having Creo doing at least some of the work for me? Such as if I design a representative shape and I know that it should have a specific mass, I would extrude a hole (or several holes) to match the correct mass. Can I make Creo vary for example the depth of such a hole until the correct mass is met?Next will be to have Creo change the position of such a hole to meet the correct center of gravity.

Hi,I would be really glad if someone could tell me how I can set up the system to output pvz files without background/reference geometry.There's plenty of files which reference other parts and I wish to complete a design and output it to pvz file in order to create instructions in Creo Illustrate. However, when I export files I end up with some overlapping geometry and reference files (here without names assigned).Kind regards,Tom

To all, I was wondering if there is a setting, or where the option might be, to turn off certain selections when you go to modify a part that is not checked out, so the user cannot select either of these two.Revise and Check out nowRevise and check Out Entire FamilyWe do not want anyone to be able to revise a part/assembly unless thru the change managment process, which is WindChill in our case. I'm creating some custom .hol files to inserts like keenserts and helicoils. For the most part, I've got it working, thanks to the youtube channel Creo Parametric, but am running into a few problems I can't seem to find the answer to. Can you have multiple thread series in a single .hol file? Reason being, depending on the dash of the insert, it could call for a UNC or UNF.My countersinks don't seem to automatically populate when creating the hole. It seems like I have to manually click it and when I do, it doesn't enter in my diameter I put into the .hol file. Anyone have a work around to this?

Hi there, I am hoping someone can help me here. I am fairly new to Creo (Come from using Solidworks), and I am using Creo 6 to handle large assemblies, but I notice that when I try to hide single components that are part of a sub-assembly any additional copies of that component in any other sub-assemblies are being hidden at the same time. Is there a way to turn this functionality off? Is this a bug or a "feature"?

Hi Everyone I was curious as to how people are handling configurable assemblies and standard cables? We sell rack based test equipment (ATE) and have a lot of configurable components inside the rack and we use a lot of standard cables. So what ends up happening is we reuse the same cable to go from component 1 to component 2 as well as from component X to component Y Curious as to how others are handling this situation in terms of actual CAD workflow/design as well as BOM management. We use Creo 8 and Windchill (but not as a PLM, and no WTParts) What I have been doing is creating a cable assembly with a skeleton of the system rack, the connectors are constrained to coordinate systems that are offset from the default csys and have also intermediate locations in the cable driven that are using cable assembly coordinate systems, and then assemble in the cable to default constraint, and using flexibility to move the connectors and cable around within the system. So
