Hello. I'm having trouble seeing the lattice structure in some imported step files. I don't know how specific I need to be, but no where do I see some indication to access the lattice structure. Please help?
I just realized I had responded to a post in 3D model, when it's likely better served here: Re: Config.sup file paths - PTC Community So, pointing pro_format_dir to a wtpub:// folder is presenting success for some, failure for others. Success shows the User Formats in WC in the folder browser, failure shows only the System Formats in the loadpoint. Registered server names are identical, formatted as /X-Y Company Name/Libraries/..../Formats. The option was originally in the config.sup, I've moved it to the config.pro for testing. Research shows most successes resolving this were from correcting server name spelling and case errors, but it is persisting here. Error outputs are providing no help. Any help or experience with troubleshooting further is appreciated.
I am using Creo Parametric 4.0 M040Issue revolves around config.sup paths to formats and start parts. Same config.sup file is used on 2 machine. On machine #1, paths work correctly. On machine # 2 belonging to a new user with new install, paths appear to work for some items (ex. start parts) but not not others (ex. formats) It is the exact same config.sup file. Ideas or suggestions appreciated.
I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.4.0Creo 2.0 External Copy Geometry features allowed us to uncheck the Dependent option and delete the component reference via Reference Viewer. The message would display the feature will be frozen. This allowed us to 'clean' the model for the PDM system functions like save-as, or open. We could bring back the link by using Edit on the ECG and checking the dependent box.Creo 7.0 ECG No dependency option permanently deletes the link with no ability to bring it back, like Creo 2.0. Is there any method in Creo 7 to replicate the Creo 2.0 functionality?
I generated a section drawing in Creo Layout, imported from an ACad file, I just want to know, if there's a way to reflect this new Creo Layout file (.cem) into a common draing from Creo (.drw). I want file .cem to be the main file in use within my Creo Drawing
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 7.0 (connected) 7.0 7.0.2.0Hi,I want to implement a Creo Parametric Toolkit application which loads a Html page into a chromium embedded framework(cef) browser, upon loading this Html page which in turn loads a set of javascript functions. When the page is loaded fully, I will have to invoke a javascript function to provide some input for example name and path of the active model in Creo Parametric Session. I am looking for inputs on how I can create this kind of application using cef and the Creo Parametric Toolkit. Can I use something like Cef Client in C++, CEFSharp or JCEF along with Creo Parametric toolkit APIs? It will be great if you could provide this information with an example.Where can I find more information about WebLink, could you provide some information?Regards,Sampath Rallapalli
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 3.0 (connected) 3.0 M190Fixture disappears after being applied to manufacturing assembly model. Here are the errors that I faced No errors or messages. Fixture simply does not show in the assembly after placing. This apparently has been an issue since prior to Creo 1.0. What is the cause of this and how can I work around it?
Hello Community, I am a fairly new user to Creo parametric and its application interface. I am trying to code a new menu tab inside of creo parametric 7.0. I would like to connect an external application to this menu tab so that information from the mentioned external application is accesible within creo parametric 7.0 via this menu tab. I have been looking for solutions and searching around in the forums and documentation websites and i came across stuffs like Jlink, PTC toolkit java and C++ and some other similar stuffs but i have little idea about how they work as i have limited knowledge in coding and IT stuffs. Hence i have been spinning around in circles for the past few weeks. I would be really grateful if someone can give me some hints or at least point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance.
I'm trying to install the latest version of Creo. Something happened where things hung on my initial install and now when I try to run the setup app, it gives me the exact same error as is discussed in https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS323172 This article directs me to kill setup.exe, but I don't see that anywhere in my task manager. I've tried restarting my computer, and the issue persists. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to get past this? Is there some sort of bread crumb or other setting that I need to clear? Thank you.
Hi All, I am a CREO instructor and I give my students regular tasks, but I suspect of them copying so I used the File History option, but Im not sure if that is conclusive. Anyone got any other indication that someone is copying? Thanks.
Hi All, Is there a thread where I can find a list of different system colors that I can download? Looking for an easy way to grab .scl files with already made color configs. Thanks in advance!
I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.4.0While adding components in the family table, some parts are not getting selected in the assembly.
Our corporate IT folks have recently "flagged" our installation of FlexLM as being out of date and asked that it be updated (from 11.14 to the latest 11.16 version). I've got the permissions necessary on the network server to let me do this, but just wondered if anyone has any advice about the smartest way to do it. Things I'm concerned about: (1) Do I need to generate a new license file for our particular Creo 4.0 modules? Or will the license file currently installed be okay? (2) Is it possible to do an actual "upgrade", or do I need to uninstall the old version and then install the new one? I've never upgraded a license server before - always was in the situation of the server failing or changing and needing to do a fresh install with new NIC information, etc. Are there any other potential problems that I should prepare for? One would think that an update would be similar to other programs where it's just a quick process, but FlexLM is not like other software, is it. Thanks for any h

Hello I have many doubts about the .hol file that I cannot understand. How is the depth of the thread or hole calculated? In the .hol file, the depth of the drill or thread is not specified but the difference is calculated using DEPTH_RATIO, who defines the value? Thanks
Hi, I have a very large manufacturing file and when I want to work in the pro/program it takes a long time to open. I use notepad++ to read the file. What can I do to reduce the file opening time? Thanks
First, let me start by saying that I am new to Cabling and have only been using it for about a week. I am trying to route wires to and from a connector as shown in the image below. I have no issue routing along path A, but I can't figure out how to make it route along path B. My assumption is that it can't make the transition between the two branches because they are both tangent to the main branch (where path A begins). I looked through the help file and found a reference for fixing this issue by creating a "T-branch", but I have found no other references anywhere online for making this "T-branch". I am sure this is a simple issue, so I would appreciate it if someone could get me pointed in the right direction.

I recently loaded Creo 6 (6.0.6.0). In my office, I have my laptop screen extended to my 2nd monitor, Creo will not launch. If I 'project PS screen only' everything works fine. As long as the program is open I can extend to both screens. I do not have this problem with my home setup. I believe the extra monitors are the same make and model, so it seems unlikely that it is graphics card related. I did not have this problem with Creo 4. Any thoughts? Mike
I could not find a better place to put this question - if it is the wrong place please move my post or tell me where to put it. I am running Intralink 3.4 on Windows Server 2003 and Wildfire 3 on a new Windows 10 Pro system. WF 3 was previously running on a Windows 7 computer. After moving to the W10 computer I had a number of problems but they were solved and I thought all was fine. I now find that I cannot check-in items from my Workspace to my Commonspace. Everything else works perfectly normal, I can open, create and delete Workspaces, I can update workspace files from Commonspace but I cannot check-in new or modified files. I get an error message "Pro/INTRALINK has detected an internal error. Please contact ..." Since the only thing not working is the check-in I am hoping it is a port-number or firewall conflict. Any idea anybody?
