I am using Creo Direct 7.0 7.0.0.0Unable to install / upgrade CREO license
I currently have Creo 7.0.2.0 installed. When trying to run Creo I'll get this error "License request failed for feature" (See image below for reference). Has anyone else had this issue? I have Creo 7.0.0.0 installed before but uninstalled it then reinstalled the new version. If someone could help me resolve this issue that would be great. Please let me know if you need more information.
I see that creo 7 will import native solid edge files - it is in the pull down options list when one goes to open a file. The problem is that when the import is completed (assembly file opens in creo) I am not seeing any parts in the model tree. Is there an additional app that I need to install, or is the way the original file is being saved? Thanks,
Hello, How to add new bolt (M14) in intelligent fastener. As I shared in the picture below, there are no M14 bolts in the default settings. But designers need it. How can I add this.
I am using Creo Parametric 4.0 and 7.0, there is a plan to upgrade Windows 10 version to 1909 (OS build 18363), need to verify compatibility.
Is there a way to assign a default Bend Table when converting a regular part to sheetmetal? This is what an Engineer sent me and I'm unsure where to look to apply our default Sheetmetal Bend Table automatically... "Normally when I create a sheetmetal part it uses the sheet metal table to generate the bend allowance. But if you start with a regular part then convert to a sheetmetal part, it uses a different table or formula. I have similar parts bent the same but forming dimensions are different due to the bend allowance from a standard part vs. a converted sheetmetal part."
In our ERP we provide a raw material quantity. For sheet metal parts, whether they are bent or not, we provide a true area of the part. For any part made of sheet metal, we currently use Creo's Measure tool to get the surface area of the FLAT, divide that number by 144 (yes, I know you can change the units in the Measure tool, but it changes them everywhere, when I only need feet in the area calculation), enter that number into a Parameter in the parent part (called "Quantity"), and it appears in the Quantity section in a drawing table. This is a pretty annoying manual process, and needs to be redone with any change to the part during design or revisions. Because it will be important in a moment, I will point out that we do this for any part literally made from sheet metal, whether or not that part is bent (meaning they may or may not have a FLAT). I would like to use a Relation to feed the Quantity Parameter. I know I can use the Reported Mass Properties parameters
Hi all, I work in a company with about 15 licenses of Creo 1.0. Since now, we have been working with windows 7 workstations, but we are upgrading some machines to windows 10 and we have some performance troubles when working with Creo. Particullary I advise a big slowdown when mounting big assemblies or trying to explode assembies. I have tried to do the some operation on different machines with different hardware and OS and I have noticed that on Win 10, it takes 3 or 4 times more than in Win 7, even with much better hardware on the win 10 machines. I know that Creo 1.0 is a very old version, but due to licensing issues the company can't afford updating the software. Anyone knows why is this happening? Is possible to configure something to avoid this troubles? anyone has the some trouble? Thanks in advance!
Attached to this blog post is a short presentation on the new enhancements to Geometric Tolerances (GTOL) in Creo 4.0 in Drawing mode.Any questions or feedback you have related to GTOLs should be provided as comments to the blog post. That will be the easiest way for me to keep track of the comments and also be able to provide timely responses to your questions. If you follow this post, you can be notified of those comments as well and be able to learn from what others are asking. I may also periodically update this post to add some new details or information related to GTOLs.Also, don't forget to follow the main blog post for 2D Detailing - which will have links to other 2D Detailing-related content 2D Detailing Home: Start Here!
Hi all, I want to create a few envelope parts of an assembly with a few positions (instances in a family table). BTW: We are using Creo 3.0 with the AXX-module. This means: - I do have an assembly. - This assembly does have a family table with 4 instances in (the positions of some parts are changing in all instances) - For all these 4 instances I like to create an separate envelope part I've tried to do this in the generic assembly, but I cannot find the way to do this. The way I've done it now is: - Open a family table instance - Go to the envelope manager - Create an envelope part - do this for each instance I don't know if this is the best way to do this... This results in a family table with the envelope-parts in it: The strange thing is that I'm not able to add an envelope part to the family table by myself (by clicking the part). Does anybody know how to do this?
I am using Creo Parametric 4.0 M100The Windchill server that I register does not stay connected after I close Creo or restart my computer. I need to re-register the server each time I open Creo.
I have the 3D coordinates of start and end points of multiple helical coils and I want to generate these coils in a 3D space. I also know pitch, dia and etc.
Hello I have currently install flexlm 11.16.2.1 in our windows server 2012. Everything is working perfectly fine when i start Creo 6 and it can pick up the licenses i have and i can do my work. However, when i start CREO 4 i am getting this error. This only happen to CREO 4 but other than that, everything i working accordingly. any tips that can help me solve this issue? Thank you in advance //Joey
I am using Creo Parametric 5.0 5.0.4.0Not able to rename CAD files in Windchill workspace from Creo. Have already checked "let_proe_rename_pdm_objects" config option is set to "yes."
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 3.0 (connected) 3.0 M080We are planning to host license in our cloud server. Will it work ?
Hello everybody, When I reflect my drawings to another side it is not correct. it reflects always to the wrong side. How can I choose the side I want to reflect it to?Please help me. Thank you. You can see on my attached file what I mean. Regards, Patrick
Is it possible to change the "insertion point" of table that is inserted using Table from file? For eg: instead of inserting using the upper left point, i would like to use the lower right
Hello [Creo 6] I can't seem to get a straighter S-curve on broken view. I try to switch to straight and back to S-curve, mostly without success. Sometimes it does work on other part drawings for whatever reason. Heartbeat break lines gives the same problem. Any ideas to fix other than sketched break line?
Good morning, I'm making a drawing of some pins that I've made for a test assembly that I've designed using top down techniques. the image capture 1 shows a pin component that is using two ECG features to reference the tip geometry of the pin and the rear surface of another component that dictates the overall length of the pin. You'll notice that the copied geometry is substantially larger than pin component, but I figured since I was hiding my ECG features once I was done using them as references that this size discrepancy was okay. Now that I'm making drawings, I'm noticing that the view size of the pin is controlled by the overall geometric envelope, which means that creo is taking the ECG features into consideration. I know that I could compensate for this by setting the view to have a partial visible area, but this means I'd have to trim each view for a large number of components. You can see the oversized view on the drawing labeled capture 2. &nbs
I can not attach anything to the middle of a conic arc in sketcher. I can attach entities to the ends but not anywhere along is length. I can trim an entity to a conic, but the result is a floating end with dimensions. Points will not attach to the length of a conic either. Is there a reason for this or is it a Creo bug?
Whenever I open a drawing, the Datum Display Filter and Display Style options match whatever I have for that session. So if I have a drawing that I saved with no datums displayed and on the "no hidden" display style, but I open it in a session where I've turned on datum display and I have my view set to Shaded with Edges, the drawing will now match those settings. How can I make those settings save to the drawing itself, rather than matching my session? I attached a part file and drawing, but this behavior happens for all drawings, not just this one.
Hi, In the drawings standards, section names are: A, B, C, and so on.. (Except for the letters I, O, J, ...)Is there a way to set the section names automatically A, B, C, instead of XSEC0001, XSEC0002, ....? If this is important to anyone names such :XSEC0001, XSEC0002, please give us the option to configure it. Yosef
I am using Creo Parametric 3.0 M110Unable to access Windchill server within the Creo embedded browser using the Internet Explorer
Is it possible to export 3D annotations from Creo 3.0 into a stp file? Want to make it visible in another CAD software ...
Hi everyone, I'm trying to constrain this part to the lines I have sketched. The orientation is important as it needs to fit a main assembley. When I try to click on the lines it wont recognise them as a reference point. any suggestions on how I can use the sketched lines as refrences for assembling the parts? Thanks in advance.
