I swear that Creo can create an exit counterbore with the hole feature...but maybe I'm mistaken?
Hello, Just curious to know if Creo 3.0/4.0 is compatible with aPriori software. If someone can share real time examples it will be great.thanksananth
I am struggling on something that is extremely simple. I need to match geometry built originally by customer as a bi-rail loft. The sections are quite simple but the solution to this is eluding me. Here is the frame I have to start with. My 1st inclination was to attempt this as a Swept Blend. I constructed this by choosing 2 reference curves. As seen below the main reference curve looks great but the solid totally misses the secondary rail. Another method that I've tried is through using a Boundary Blend. This would work if the side surfaces didn't want to become the top surface going around the sweep. I tried playing around with Control Points but in this specific instance it appears that they don't work properly. I also attempted this as a Sweep but I don't even want to share those results it was so bad. By any chance is there just a hidden bi-rail loft command in Creo? If not would anyone have a recommendation for getting a good
I'm using CreoToolkit with Creo 6.0.4.0When you scan a 3D model for 3D annotations even deleted annotations can be found.I don't use the visit functions as I'm not able to find all the dimension types this way.I have not found a method to distinguish deleted (invalid) annotations from valid annotations. Is there a way to check the status (deleted/not-deleted) of an annotation in Toolkit? Thank you very much in advance.
Hi I am trying to show solid tools on ModuleWorks but I don't know why only the holder is shown and not the insert. I attach two pictures SOLID_TOOL.png is shaded in Creo SOLID_TOOL_2.png is in ModuleWorks. The holder is ok but the insert not Both Holder and insert have a CSYS called INSERT Holder has the parameter : VERICUT_TYPE set to HOLDER Insert has the parameter : VERICUT_TYPE set to INSERT Any idea why? Thanks Marco
I am attempting to create a repeat region that sums the mass of different material types in an assembly. The issue is I have different common names using the same material in the table. I know I can do this through filter, but I am being asked to provide a different solution. Oh yeah - I don't know how to write relations! Appreciate any guidance, Helena
Hi, Can somebody tell me how I can add layers to the default-layers so that I don't have to create this layer again and again in every single part/assembly? Thanks, Maik
I would like to have a pattern of extrusions on a part with labels on each extrusion. However, I would like the text on each extrusion to be driven by the instance of each extrusion. So, the text on the first extrusion would be something like "EX1" and then the text on the 15th extrusion would be "EX15." I do not want to manually type in the extruded text - I would like it to be dynamic. Is this possible? How do you reference the instance number of a patterned feature? How would I go about setting something like this up?
While using GD&T Advisor the DRF's get completed under each Feature Control Frame. They work great to show what surfaces are associated to what datums. The issue being seen is they are being displayed on the drawing views. Is there a DTL setting to control their display on the drawing. Using CP4 M120 and GD&T Advisor 3.2.2.60.
Hi All, Its strange that I am trying to apply a chamfer on one corner i.e. in the form of Angle x D. But creo is showing me only two options i.e. OXO and O1XO2. Please see below screenshot. Can anyone, please explain the root cause of it.? I want Angle X D as well Thank you in Advance.
I was trying to add some new mapkeys to our custom tab in the ribbon in Creo 4-m090 and I discovered, much to my consternation that it's propagating those options to all modes of the ribbon. GRRRRRR!!!! I've finally saw the help doc and David Martin's video on this subject. I suppose some would think this is an enhancement. I don't, it's an irritation, and it wasn't obvious how to change it without referring to additional documentation. A radio button in the UI to propagate or not propagate would have been helpful instead of hiding it under a right click. My mapkeys are mode dependent. I don't want to add mapkeys to the ribbon in a mode where it will fail. Right clicking on each thing I add to limit it to a specific mode seems like a lot of extra work. I'm hoping there is a hidden config that will restore the behavior to the old method where you have to be in the mode to add things to that mode. Is there such an option? I didn't see one in the st
Community, Is there a way to make a leader note that contains a non-leader balloon note that has a number? For example, you have a leader note that contains part number and beside the part number will be a circled item number. I want to combine the two so if I need to move the view, the two will float with the view.

Does anyone know of an EASY way to get the projected area of an ASM in a particular direction normal to a plane? I want to use this to find the maximum "windward frontal area" to use in performing Wind Loading calculations on a substation structure. Thanks in advance of anyone's assistance! I appreciate the BoK(Bevy of Knowledge) of this community.
I've been using Modelcheck in Creo 5 for a few months now, as I configure our setup from Creo 4 and prepare for training and migration. I would like to provide feedback: The number on top, next to the Errors and Warnings, would seem to be a cumulative value of all of the numbers of errors and warnings within the subsections, due to the same way they are identified. For instance, in the below picture, if a user was expanding a random section, he would assume there is nothing in Design Intent and Feature as there are already three errors listed and 1 warning:Rather, if we expand all sections, we see more errors:Although I understand that the number on top is the check# and the number next to the checks are the quantity #, it is confusing since they are identified the same way I'm not sure users care whether errors or warnings are identified as Design Intent, Feature, Component or Misc. Whatever the organization has identified as important will be an error and whatever th
Hello Can I have Creo installed on my machine with two different languages in single installation? If so, How can I set language either from two installed language without doing re installation? Any idea would be of much help. Thanking you! Regards Ketan
1. I have a toolkit "Callback ProTkdllFunction" named io() as listed below. 2. Call io() from Web.Link OK but count of the output ProArguments from io() is always 0 while it should be 1. 3. Problem must be somewhere in the function io() <-- I need help to find it. The way to call io() from Web.Link : sess.GetProToolkitDll("115937605053").ExecuteFunction("io",iArg) The result from io() is partially correct : { "FunctionReturn": 32, <--- echo the iArg.value.v.i correctly "OutputArguments": {} } result.OutputArguments { "Count": 0 <==== should be 1, what's wrong in the function io() ????} #define DllExport __declspec( dllexport ) DllExport int io(ProArgument * inputs, ProArgument ** outputs){ ProArgument *args; // compose the output ProArgument array , refer to protkdoc/api/provalue_h.html ProArrayAlloc(1,sizeof(ProArgument),1,(Pro

In Windchill 10.1, In the folder view of any container, when you click on the name field of any document, it takes you to the details page of the document. So the names are actually hyperlinks to the details of the document. My requirement is to export these hyperlinks from windchill into excel sheet using export list to xlsx from actions menu in the folder page Please reply if any one had an idea of how this can be done
Hello, I'm trying to create a part using sheet metal option, so I could unbend, cut, etc... and band back. The part is similar to a rolled corrugated paper strip. My plan to use a 2D spiral curve base and add pattern features along its sweep direction equally spaced. Can I do it with Creo Sheetmetal? I couldn't figure out an easy way to do that. The pictures below show I am trying to create:
Hello I need to delete some components in an assembly with jlink. I noticed the method Model.Delete() but when i use it nothing seems to be deleted. I havent seen any examples with this method call. Thank you Regards
Is it possible to use ModelCheck to see if a drawing has a particular table? I've tried using the TABLE_CELLS and DRW_TABLE_CELLS but this check seems very limited and only activates if the table exists in the first place.
Simple case, I want to update the model mass, then this value being updated automatically in an excel cell. Is that possible ?. thanks in advance
