Community,   The below symbol was made in creo 5, but only the triangle and left-hand leader.  The number was entered as a note.  How can I made a triangle symbol where the system prompts me to enter the number, like the flag note that comes in the pallette?  Thanks in advance.       I was trying to get \note_#\ into the custom symbol.  Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi, is there any tool to view characters in a Creo fnt file? especially special.fnt - we are thinking about switching from win_chcn_font.ndx to directly using msyh.ttf.   br Bernhard

We are deploying Creo 3 M060 with SCCM.  The software installs fine but SCCM keeps stating that it has failed.  We have tried a few different detection methods and none give a positive result.  We are using SCCM 2012.  If you are using SCCM to deploy Creo what are you using as your detection method?

Hello, I am in the process of designing a push switch. The function of push switch is simple. There is an arm rotating on a hinge, the push button slides over the arm's surface and the push button slides inside the hole. As the arm returns the push button also returns. My problem is that I am able to rotate the arm, slide the arm over the push button surface and move it inside the hole. But, as the arm rotates back, the push button will not come to the original position. I have attached the images below.   Also, my animation for the same design is not working. I gave a servo kotor to the hinged joint(pin) of the arm. The arm doesn't move at all in the animation   Expecting an answer.   Thanks, Vignesh 

Community,   When I activate any one of the models in the model tree, it will not activate, and the entire assembly remains the default gray.  I am using Creo 6, and I have never encountered this type of problem before.  Has anyone seen this type of problem, and is there a fix for it?  Thanks in advance. 

I want to highlight a datum plane or datum axis in my model by selecting them from the model tree. They do not show in the model when selected from the tree unless I unhide/show all the datum planes/axes. Is there a setting that can be changed so that datums become highlighted when clicking on them from the model tree?   Many thanks, David

Hello  all   I have a big structure to mesh and I´m interested in performing a shock/dynamic analyse using Simulate 4.0. I am in a learning process in this type of analysis.   To reduce mesh size, I replaced the moving part by its CG as an advanced mass.   To connect this mass to its anchor structure using rigid links is not correct because the connection itself has some bending freedom. So, I thought to make individual connections to each anchor structure using weight links to avoid this over stiffening of the structure. A kind of compromise.   However, it is not possible to create different weight links sharing the same dependent side. To overcome this limitation, I created additional dummy points and connected them with the advanced mass using rigid links – I thought it reproduces well the original situation as the moving mass is a lot stiff than the anchor structure.   But firstly, I placed these dummy points at an arbitrary position. Since upgrading to CREO 6, the Dimension text pop-out window defaults to ALWAYS dislocate itself and start floating. This is incredibly annoying for many reasons, and I see that others have similar issues.   Using Mapkeys to tell the window to REATTACH will cause CREO to crash 9/10 times. I have resorted to always clicking the reattach manually, and even that causes crashes 4/10 times. Obviously just the worst when trying to detail a large drawing package.   Is there any config.pro option to return it to the previous functionality? Is there a "functionality improvement" that someones made so I can vote for PTC to remove this weird pop-out by default?

Hello all,   I am wondering if it is possible to import a master model to a part without creating an external reference to the master model? So, rather than importing the geometry with a reference to the master model which would update when changes are made to the master, you would import the master, break the external reference on the import and be left with a direct model which will not update when the master is modified.   It's worth mentioning the reason behind my question. I am working on a model which will ultimately need to be stored using a document control system or PDM. The parts have been built using a top down approach and as such can not be stored independently from the assembly in which they were created. Am I correct in assuming that most doc control systems/PDMs are not compatible with the top down approach? The parts in question have only referenced the master model and no other part in the assembly, therefore external references are well managed and lead bac

Hi, I'm trying to configure modelcheck to add 2x parameters to every model in a large assembly.    I have model update set to Y, so model check is 'allowed' to modify the models to add params:   I have PARAMCHECK set to error:  And I have added parameters for it to check against:    But whenever I run the modelcheck regen or interactive, it reports 0 errors 0 warnings.     On that note, It's also appearing in the white box of the RHS of the screen but not in the in-built browser. I have used modelcheck in the grey/tan in-browser context before but have never seen that window/context appear on this computer, I've only ever had the white box.  I do have "Show Report" set to Y, which I thought would make it appear in the browser but it's not working.        Can anyone shed some light on this please? I don't fancy having to manually define the parameters in every single part/aseembly   Thanks

Hi   I'm currently working on modeling parts for the railway. There is a big number of poles that needed to be modeled. I'm looking for a clear, structured way to generate instances of the pole, preferably without making a "standard" family table.   [context] Mind you, there are 40 types of beams, 20 different lengths, around 10 different drilling sets and each drilling set has a multitude of different configurations. In theory, based on the drawings, there are around 30 trillion different poles (thanks government). In practice I'm guessing at least 0.1% of the poles are realistically used. [context]   Ideally, I'm looking for a "family table system" that asks which features must be included when importing the pole part in an assembly, instead of choosing a family member from the list. Basically: 1. have assembly in active window 2. assemble and open the pole part in assembly 3. window appears: prompt for profile type and select one: HEB/HEA/HEM 4. window appears: prompt

Hi I created a logic parameter (type "Yes No"), with "YES" or "NO" in several parts. when I display the parameter in a table in a drawing the values are showing up at "TRUE" OR "FALSE". Is there a way to get them to show as "YES" "NO" ?   also my part description parameter (type "String") is too short for the customers descriptions is there a way to increase the length? I have an ongoing issue that has persisted since switching over to CREO 4.0. Whenever I am working in a drawing and want to edit a table and select the "Table" tab for the first time, it takes an agonizingly long time to load. As I write, it has been 10 minutes and it still hasn't loaded. This is clearly unacceptable. I have checked my video drivers and they are all up to date. Has anyone else experienced this and come up with a solution? Also, it's slow when I want to change my working directory, but not as slow as the table tab issue.

Hello forum,   we create lots of annotation sets (custom views) in Creo View, particularly including sections. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to add fill patterns (e.g. hatches) to the section surfaces in Creo View.   Therefore, this has to be done by someone who has access to Creo Parametric. However, it seems that the sections that have been created in Creo View (as annotation sets) can't even be opened and then edited in Creo Parametric.   Is this true, or are we missing something?   If it should both not be possible to a) add fill patterns/hatching to sections in Creo View (which is currently the case) and b) to open sections in Creo Parametric that have been created in Creo in View (in order to add fill patterns/hatchings to the sections in Creo P), this is a serious drawback, because it makes it factually impossible to create norm compliant sections from Annotation Sets.   Thanks for ideas and/or cons
