Hi, I should know is it possible to frame a note with a single frame on 2D model when you want to write on many lines like this screenshot. Because actually I just do frame each line only but not all the lines together. Thanks for your help if you can give me tips. Regards.
Hello all, I am trying to delete other instances except from the very first pattern table instances which is used for creating pattern. But I am unable to do so. There is always one instance other than the main feature referred. How can I delete this and just keep one? TIA
Hi I'm working on a shrinkwrap export through toolkit, As of now code is using a new empty model created through ProSolidMdlnameCreate(). But, I need to use templates for the export, templates are kept in start_model_dir. Thinking to copy a template to working directory while exporting through toolkit. Is it possible to copy files through toolkit? Or any other idea to export shrinkwrap with template with code?
Hello, I'm using Creo 10 making multiple pipes in an assembly. Is there a way to change color of each pipe without making a part of each line section? It would cause trouble when saving as it would create alot of unnessecary parts. The default is blue, so it feels like there should be someway to change it. I havent found anything in the Piping module. Using View->Appearances doesn't register the pipe as a surface or body that can be used for coloring.
Hi, I need some help to launch Creo 9 on Windows 11. I use a VM with Parallels because my laptop is a MacBook Pro M2Pro 16gb RAM. My VM has 8 cores for the CPU and 10gb RAM.2 days ago I installed Creo 9 because I will use it for my 4th semestre as an aeronautical engineer student in Bordeaux's University (I'm French so my English isn't perfect). I installed with success the folder that the university has given to us called "MED-100WIN-CD-460_9-0-0-0_Win64", extracted it, launched the "setup.exe" files, put my key licence and dowloaded everything. Then I have tried to run the file "Creo Parametric 9.0.0.0" but nothing happened. Just my cursor tell my that is loading during 1 second (you know like when you try to launch something on Windows the cursor does a blue loop to tell you that it's loading) and then nothing happen. Can you please tell me what I have to do to launch Creo ? Don't worry I will use it in January so it's not urgent but I wan't to know the basics to work some
Hi,We're switching from Creo 4 to Creo 11. I had a mapkey to insert a symbol at an absolute coordinate. Now this mapkey doesn't work anymore in Creo 11. I tried recording a new one but I get an error message. The new mapkey for Creo 11 looks like this :mapkey ca4 @MAPKEY_NAMEInsertion d'un cartouche sur format A4 horizontal;\mapkey(continued) @MAPKEY_LABELInsertion cartouche A4;\mapkey(continued) ~ Activate `main_dlg_cur` `page_Annotate_control_btn` 1;\mapkey(continued) ~ Command `ProCmdDwgCrSymInstCust` ;\mapkey(continued) ~ Select `main_dlg_cur` `Symbol:casc343974600`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Close `main_dlg_cur` `Symbol:casc343974600`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Command `ProCmdPmaOptSymLib` `PRO_SYMBOL_DIR/cartouche_gravlor.sym`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Timer `` `` `popupMenuRMBTimerCB`;~ Close `rmb_popup` `PopupMenu`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Activate `rmb_popup` `Absolute Coordinates`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Input `coordinputs` `XInputPanel` `2`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Input `coordinputs` `X
Hello, I'm working in Creo 10 and making an assembly with alot of parts. I have made a Family Table where I hide some parts in a few instances to highlight parts in each instance. Now I have a drawing with The generic model containing the whole BOM list. I also have the instance models in the same drawing that I want to attach BOM Balloons to. However when I try that It doesn't work, That is because when i add the generic it generates a separate BOM with different numbers and it is tied to a separate BOMIs there some way to have the instance keep the generic BOM so I can add balloons? The same problem occurs when I use simp. rep. I also can't use Layers because I have used the pipe tool it doesn't seem to hide the pipes when I added them to a layer and hide it. Instead it just hides connected parts that I have.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.4.0Internal volume for fluid analysis cannot be created as no single solid surface exists as a boundary surface on one side of an internal volume (irregular nozzle orifice). Attempts to create a bounding surface have failed, including creating boundary blend surfaces and thickening them to create a selectable solid both surrounding the intended boundary and covering the intended boundary. Here are the errors that I faced[Internal Volume] Feature failed to regenerate. The system could not create closed volume.Recommended actions:First, check the selection of bounding surfaces. Make sure all the surfaces that bound the volume are selected. Remove irrelevant surfaces from the selection. Then, check the selection of seed surfaces. Make sure seed surfaces are selected from the volume envelopes. Avoid selecting surfaces with multipleouter edge loops. Make sure that each opening to close must be surrounded by a single surface, either a boun
When I perform Edit Definition on the selected section of Creo model in Creo, Creo crash's"Exception EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION has occurred in the thread 16452."
Hello all, I am getting this error while trying to mesh in Creo flow 10.0.3. 'No valid surface selected for surfaces in property panel' Can anyone shine any light on what this means? I can't seem to find any settings that can progress me past this point. Thanks all,
Hi guys, I wanted to simulate a part we have build, its a flexure hinge (see pic 1 and 2). How it works: As one spread the two ligaments by the screw on the input-side, one will tilt the outputside as indicated by the orange lines. The input is in mm and the output in degree, respectively. as You can see in pic 3 the real-world model matches the mathematical (geometric) model very well, but if I try to simulate it by applying a force to spread the ligaments the values for the slope on outputside are far away from reality. Even more, when I plot output vs input of real-world data I get a parabolic curve, as expected, but when I plot the data from simulation I get a straight line!!! Why? Have someone a clue, whats going on here? -I use Creo 9.0, -For the simulation I applied several forces (100, 1000,2000...5000)N and measured the displacement (in Y direction) of the upper and lower ligament to have an equivalent for the input of the real-world-part which is in mm -and the displac
I have a line style question when I print out to PDF.On the B size format the part prints out with more dashes and dots. (see image)On the G size format the part prints out with less dashes and dots. (see image)Does anyone know how I can get the part on a G size sheet to look more like the part on the B size? The pen tables are the same, and the way I exported the drawing to PDFs are the exact same. This leads me to believe that the format is driving the way the part looks, sound right? Thanks in advance for your help.
First, can I use the VB API to export all sheets of a drawing to a 2D DXF? If yes, I can send over my code and go from there.
Using Creo Parametric 10.0.2.0 Commercial. I have created one quarter of a sketch that I want perfectly to my specifications. The other three quarters should simply be a copy and rotate of 90, 180, and 270 degrees of the first quarter. The final sketch should then just be joining them together in a circle to close the sketch. Then, I want to create the part by extruding this sketch. I successfully copy and paste my construction lines, my center point reference, and my actual lines.I successfully rotate it 90 degrees. The issue is, I can't get the end points to snap to each other to create a closed sketch! My sketch is essentially a 90 degree arc with radius of 62.5 mm, but the first part of the arc is removed for a slot that goes into the circle. I have tried clicking and dragging, but the point is the center point of the sketch which won't snap to where I need that center point to be. I tried setting the vertical and horizontal dimensions going from
Hi all,I'm struggling to find a solution to an apparently simple problem. I have a repeat region listing parts, whose indexes have been "fixed" to remain always #1 , #2 and #3 (in the desired order). Now, component #2 has been replaced with another part (different part number) and so the BoM table is now listing items #1 and #3 (associated to the same p/n as before), leaving a gap inbetween; the new item, which replaces #2 is now listed as #4 because it's the first available index. I thought I could simply fix index for the item which is now #4 and assign #2, but I get an error because index #2 is already assigned! But I can't unfix it, because it's not possible to select it (its row in the table does not exist anymore). Does anybody know how to work this around, without deleting and recreating the table? Thanks. (I simplified the example on purpose, but this scenario might apply also to assemblies with 100+ parts, where recreating the table from scratch is not an option)
I cannot seem to add a form with .designer.vb, .resx, and a .vb file to the VB API Examples project using, Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2019 (2). Is there another tool used to build and import other forms? Am I using the wrong environment? Thank you,Cody
Dear PTC-Community, I have been stuck with a design challenge and come to you as my last resort of maybe finding a smarter solution to my problem. I'm using creo 9.0.3.0. I'm trying to put 0.6mm holes which are 1.2mm apart from each other trough a body that is "twisted" in space. (It is part of a fan blade)(view in My Videos) I want the holes to enter the part on one surface and exit on the opposing one. They need to follow the geometry, but the entry and exit surfaces are not parallel to one another. My best approach so far was to make a row of profiles on a plane perpendicular to the direction in one corner of the part and use the "Pattern" - "Curve" function, selecting one of the edges as the reference curve. I also choose the option "follow the surfaces", and select the entry and exit surface. I hope the following screenshots make my process more easy to follow. It's difficult to explain, what I want to archieve.Profiles on the top, following the top left edge o
I’m working on a project where I need to retrieve the view matrix or camera position from Creo using the API. Can anyone guide me on how to do this?Specifically, I’m looking to:1. Access the view matrix of a specific view.2. Obtain the camera (or eye) position for a given view.If you have any code examples, API functions, or documentation links that could help, I’d greatly appreciate it!Thank you. Hi, I've done a direction pattern with respect to the blue directions (of another object of the assembly) in the picture. With relations, I want to invert the direction of the pattern in relation to the constraint of the first object of the pattern. Wich is the command that I have to insert afther the if conditions in the following relations? Thanks a lot. Michele Barile
I am looking to be able to trim or cut a section of an imported facet feature in creo 10 and need help. I am looking to cut the surface section in purple from the blue faceted feature. Thank you.
I've been tasked to determine if it is possible to annotate (modify) our present UDFs to include annotations that will show up in an MBD model. Currently we can place the UDF, a counterbore hole, for example, on the model . However, then we must dimension the UDF manually in the combination state. Is there a way to attach the callout to a UDF so it becomes integral with the combination state?I suppose this would be applicable to a non-MBD part also. Can the callout be attached to the UDF when the UDF is placed on a part? Our UDFs are all Stand Alone also and we use Creo 9.3. Thanks for any guidance!
The "Export to ANSYS Mechanical Format" command is not working. I am able to "Save Simulation Data" as a .apr file in the below folder. However, when i try to export the .casdat file using the Export to Ansys Mechanical Format command, the status bar says that it saves successfully, but no .casdat file appears in that folder.
I want to change the File Name with the Common name in the Model Tree.I can expand the model tree with the Common name but not switch them. Does anyone know if and how it is possible to do that?
Add centreline/symmetry line/crosshair Hello, I'm looking for a function to display or add a centreline/symmetry line or crosshair of a hole/round element. The crosshairs are not displayed using "Show model annotations". Actually exactly what is described right at the beginning of this guide for Creo Elements: https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/ced_modeling/r20.7.0.0/de/index.html#page/ced_modeling/OSDM_Annotation/am_aux_geop2.html In the screenshot I have inserted the crosshair whose function I am looking for in green. Hello am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0I saw this video, i tried the same method as you explained in my system with example i could not get the different color in drawing I have tried using different appearanceCould you please help me on this. For example, I have created new rep, new appreance and I have even created new combined state in view manager as shown in video but which ever combined state is active only that that colors are visible mode.
