Creo Elements Direct

Hi all, I wonder if anyone can help me out with this hateful piece of software. I am trying to put an 1/8BSP tapped hole in for a part. In the hole tool I have the options of ISO, UNF and UNC thread classes and BSPT, NPT, or NPTF if it was a tapered hole. Why not BSP? God I wish I could go back to Catia where things work as you want them too. 

Hello,I am trying to define animations automatically with Lisp-Files. The dialogs to define animations are part of the "Advanced Assembly Module". I'd like to rotate and translate objects or assemblies based on their coordinate systems inside the dialog "anim_create_animations".  Description:In the attachments is a Lisp-File, which works quite well, but there are a few restrictions. First we define the assembly (B1), object (T1) and coordinate system (CoSy1). Then the dialog "anim_create_animation" is called with "sd-call-cmds" and an animation is created. After that, the object is translated in the direction of the global x-axis (1,0,0) and the position is captured with ":dyn_pos_capture". Afterwards, the object is rotated around an axis defined by "direction3d" and "position3d". Again a global direction is used, z-axis (0,0,1) and the position (0,0,0). After the rotation, a picture is taken and the animation is finished. Now to the problems:Instead of the global x-axis

I have a brand-new HP laptop running Windows 10 and I just downloaded and installed Creo Elements / Direct Modeling Express 8.0. When I tried to launch it, I immediately got this error: ``` The code execution cannot proceed because mfc140u.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem. ``` I tried reinstalling but the problem remains.    

May I learn how are you managing data revisions? There is no history tree in CED. I tried to put older datas in a container but I think it is not the real solution.

Hello Creo community! I am currently running version 6.0 on my laptop for my solid modeling class. However, the new Windows update has come out and I am afraid it may no longer work if I upgrade, so I would like to ask if it's safe to upgrade to Windows 11 for version 6.0.  Thank you all so much in advance! I have an existing Creo drawing. Is there a way I can change the drawing "format" to a "template"? It doesn't give me that option. It seems once you choose the format option, there's no swaping it out for a drawing template.

  When we work machine elements like cylinder and piston. We need limiting the distance of two bodies.    Is there a way to limiting the distance in adv. design?  

Can we learn and enter automatically bounding body dimensions in part properties?

To give a better view and reduce the paper usage it should be possible to create a BOM on a docuplane. Every step of making a BOM in Modeling is possible except the BOM draw function.        Modeling                                      Annotation        

No problem running direct modeling 19 M010 and 20.0 under windows 11 on HP XW9400 32GB RAM / NVIDIA QUADRO 600 (windows seven upgraded to windows 10 upgraded to windows 11).Suddendly yesterday (none system update only daily virus definition) annotation stopped working: on 3d modeling side everything is normal but when I activate the annotation module the software freezes. This occurs in Direct Modeling 19 M010 and 20.0 and in Direct Access 19 and 20.0 while Direct Drafting (me10) has no problem.I already tried to change video card (QUADRO K2200 and RADEON HD6570 normally working on my other XW9400 with windows 10) and the problem is the same.It seems like something has changed in windows 11 graphics management.... any suggestion?Thanks

Is there a way to extrude assymetric values in both direction?

Is there a way to regen of text? They are too many cracked.

When I make assembly codes 10-11-12 not follows 9. They goes under 1 🙂 Is there a solution for this?

There is no option to emphisize the name of the material. It is insufficient knowledge to enter only the density of material.

Nx has an option to define press fit tolerance with letter and numerical identifier. Creo must have this option. We love Creo

 It will be very useful to fix some dimensions on 3D model. On the other hand, this dimensions are not useful among the other unneccessary labels.

  So many Cad program works with a graph like gannt chart. Creo still use very difficult interface.

Hey guys!   I'm new here and have a question maybe some of you found out a solution for my problem already. I don't know since when exactly, I don't know why at all, my measurement tool "distance in direction" doesn't snap workpiece edges anymore. Only planes now to use the planes normals for direction. Hi, When I copy features from one part to another, I get confused about which references it's looking for.  Is there a better way to copy all of the features and relations and parameters from one part into another?  I have a relatively simple part that has all the features and annotations I want.  I have another part that is a family table generic.  I want to delete everything from the generic and replace it with everything from the new part (~26 features).  Yes, this will break the columns of the Family Table, so I know I'll have to repair those manually.  For now, I'm just hoping there is a simpler method of copying the features into the generic. What do you think?Thanks!Devin

Hello to everybody,   When you switch application from Annotation to SolidDesigner the browser start to refresh the list for many time... ( 7 or 8 or more ) This cause many lost time to regenerete the list of parts/Assembly you have in your project.On some computers this operation is very slow and we do not understand what can be the cause. We have installed the suggest graphical drivers and certificated by PTC but the problems remains.... We have change also the list using show/hidden detail but the problem is the times that the system refresh this list.... Someone has some ideas how to solve this problem? Thnks in advance Rego

Hi,   I require a clarification on Creo Direct system ID for model.   While I upload the files in Windchill it shows conflictions if all Creo Direct models assigned into same systems ID. So the customer wanted to change the system ID of each model created in Creo Direct.   Please help me in solving this issue.   Thank you, Sreedharan

Dear everyone I have some question about using Element drafting 20.1.4 as below ;1. I create geometry whatever line rectangle circle, it show black box instead show value . What cause of this problem ?2. When I create rectangle, it not parallel with monitor as capture screen. (Please see capture screen in attached file for clearly understand )If I guess, all of this problem cause from Evaluation mode ?   I'm not sure. Anyone who have experience about this problem. Kindly guide me how to solve this problem I'm  looking  forward to hearing from you. Thankyou James
