It looks like with the release of Creo Elements/Direct 20.2 that Model Manager is finally 64-bit! Has anyone tried it out yet?
Hello everyone, I have done a big project in my university using PTC CREO ELEMENTS/DIRECT MODELING (version 19 or 20, don't remember exactly) and I saved the file in .pkg format. Now, my university does no longer have the license and the software, so I can not access the file. For my job search, this project is really important and I need to take the snapshots of the design to have it in my portfolio. Can someone with the license of this software please convert this file to .step format and send it to me so that I can open the file on my system and take snapshots of the design? I really appreciate your help and this means a lot to me! Thank you in advance.
Hello, I cannot find recent reports about Modeling Express license check, but here (Bergamo, Italy) the license server is unreachable since two days ago. I already asked a PTC contact, but am still waiting for response. As a suggestion to PTC, I say that if I had a dream about this subject, it would be that all of these limitations, that make hardly comprehensible how other competitors can release slightly restricted free software, are finally removed. Thank you and have a nice Modeling. Marco

Hi there, can anyone tell me how I can save a BOM that I have updated in Annotator? There are a bunch of default layouts in our Annotator, but once I edit them they do not save when I close Creo and reopen. So does anyone know how I can save the BOM out (I assume as a mi file) and where I can save it in the custom settings?
I am a new user, practicing Creo Elements / Direct Modeling. I am using the Express version until my employer gets the license for the regular version. I am migrating from Solidworks. I am trying to find the *.pk2 files for use in the Quickstart tutorial projects. The first few do not need them, but the later ones do. Where are these files downloaded or unzipped from? stereo.pk2 printer.pk2 GPS_device.pk2 engine.pk2
Excuse me, sir Creo Elements/Direct has the options of Attach drawing Could you tell me when I can use Variant and Copy? What are the differences between to true copy and to variant? If I use "variant" to replace "copy", am I wrong? Or will have some influence?
Creo Elemnts Direct Modeling 20.3.1 doesn't import Inventor 2020 and 2021 native (IPT and IAM) files. Customers need this data exchange, Creo 7.0 can import, so it is possible.
Hello, until ModelManager 20.1 we had an option to switch to windows-like look and feel. In run.bat: set JVM_ARGS=%JVM_ARGS% -Dswing.defaultlaf=com.osm.ui.laf.ptc.PtcLaf With 20.2 this switch no longer works. Does anyone know if there is a new switch to get what I want? Thanks!
