Hi, in Drafting. user can add the dimension with the tolerance. but in Creo there is check box to display tolerance upper limit and lower limit. but there is no API in creo toolkit to know whether that tolerance upper limit and lower limit is visible or not. Regards, Vipresh shah
Hello! I am trying to create a model of a reducing elbow (4 to 3). I have the straight ends of the elbow and I was hoping I could loft between the parts. I followed the instructions per the PTC help, but when I try to create Matchlines, I get an error that says "The profile must be closed." So I can only assume that I am picking the wrong vertex? I cannot attach the pkg file I am working with, but I can send it to someone that thinks they can help. Can someone please help me? Maybe lofting is not the way to go, but it was the only method that I thought made sense! Thanks!
I got a problem with using the positioning function in creo elements direct. When I use the positioning function, in the dynamic method, I am able to click on a face when the 3D co-pilot appears. In the past I was able to also do this with edges. Click the edge and a co-pilot would appeard so I was able to rotate a part around the edge, or move it along the edge. Selecting the edge is now not possible anymore. I added my 'catch' settings screenshot, maybe there is a problem with that. Someone knows what the problem can be or where I can find some 'snap' settings
Hi, I recently received a .pkg file with a full model and I found that it also had drawings in the structure tree. My question is how do I see these drawings so that I can export to PDF? I have tried to open them from Annotation tab but it won't let me select from the structure tree or save from there to PDF. Is there a way to view these? I don't want to redo work that someone has already done. Thanks
I use Creo Elements Direct 3D-access V18.1 on my notebook Acer spin 7 Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-7Y75 with integrated Intel® HD Graphics 615Everything worked fine. Then came the Windows update to 1803.Windows update installed the graphics driver V23.20.16.4901.Creo Elements worked, but I had permanent bluescreens due to memory corruption by the graphics driver.Acer support recommended that I install the latest driver version 24.20.100.6025, which I did. Since then the notebook runs stable, but Creo elements doesn't work anymore. Hello everyone, I'm facing a complex and apparently insoluble problem with macro execution. The code is launched by a Visual Basic Sendkeys instruction from another application and does the following actions: - Reads data from a text file and stores them into an LTAB; - Deletes the text file; - Sets a part name; check if already exists, deletes it, creates a new part with that name; - Draws a table starting from 0,0 and fills it with stored data; - Adds all data as Info to the part; - Prints a pdf file of the table; - Deletes the table heading text; - Goes to Top, executes a Modify Move action taking the table and leaving it hanging to the mouse pointer. Everything worked fine on seven Workstations for about ten years; a couple of months ago it began giving problems on one single PC (which is the same as mine): the code hangs or ends in a random looking way. From time to time it fails before deleting the existing table, deletes it and ends, begins filling the table and ends after a var
While trying to install Manager Server 19.0 M050 on Windows Server 2012 R2 the installing is crashing near the end after it creates the Rapid Deployment Package and during the Installing Model Manager step. In the application event viewer there is an Apache Service error that says... "The Apache service named Creo Elements Direct Manager SoftwareDistributionServer reported the following error:>>> [Fri Jun 15 12:51:01 2018] [warn] (OS 2)The system cannot find the file specified. : No installed ConfigArgs for the service "Creo Elements Direct Manager SoftwareDistributionServer", using Apache defaults. ." How can I fix this? I know this is an old version of Manager Server but I am trying to duplicate our production environment in a development environment so I can test upgrading to 20.1.
How do you import .bdl files? I have tried dragging the file onto the view, but it won't let me. Can you please help?
Hello Friends, I have question about. How can i open CED 20.1 version files in CED 18.0 ? Is there any option to do it. It is there the option of CGRI in Creo Parametric. I have some files created in CED 20.1 version. Now the other subsidiary company wants to access those files but they are using CED 18.0. Please help if some one have gone through such phase.
Dear all, on recently installed Workstations, Direct Drafting 19.0 began to add to drawings the info "PD_ZONE". This is not present in drawings created by other Workstations and is messing up with macros, probably because it is the first info read by an INQ. I can certainly provide some "PD_ZONE" cleaner utility, or lines that ignore it, but the main goal is to inhibit its creation. I believe this issue could someway deal even with the problem reported in my previous topic "Unpredictable macro crash". Thank you for reading! ----------------------------------------------------- Sorry everyone! Do not consider, unless it could be useful for you. The solution is the simplest: Settings>Edit Ambient>System>Ambient-Parametric design module unflagged. Nothing to do, anyway, with the previous topic, still unsolved. Marco
3D dimensions can be a good way to drive changes to a model. The problem is that if you create several of these per part and have an assembly of hundreds of parts, the display gets cluttered with all of those 3D dimensions. The only option at this point in the base module is to use the Show menu to have all labels on or off in the viewport. I would like the ability to show/hide 3D dimensions in the base product. One option for doing this would be a setting where the dimensions (and all other labels) on a part are displayed when the part is set active and hidden when the part is not the active part.
Here's a simple video showing new functionality in AI MAX Share. If you use Creo Elements/Direct or CoCreate, check out AI MAXTools (www.ai-maxtools.com) to see how you can get added functionality for your existing tools!
Hi, I would like to clear my doubt about the text frame option available in dimension properties. I would like to know whether the balloon frame which is shown as a closed circular frame is used for the reference dimensions in creo element direct modelling because in standard practice the frame for the reference dimension is of open circular brackets. Thanks, Regards, Anand
Sometimes the 3D copilot is not in the centre of the part or assembly. When I delete the viewsets in the part the copilot is in the centre again. Is there another way to solve this issue?
Search text and Search dimension should be available (and works !) in 3D & 2D Access, i think. That should be well in this products
I want to start Direct Modeling 19.0 M070 on a small Laptop with Intel UHD Graphics 620. Result: VP '1' is blocked and i get an sigsegv-Error. Is there any possiblity to start Modeling, most for viewing on the System. Are there any start-Options to let modeling know he has to work on an low-Level-Graphics-System?
We have serious problem converting DXFs to .mi, which is a standard in our organization. When we import a DXF, with main scale lets say 1:5, it is imported as 1:1. So when fixing existing annotations, or applying new annotations, all the dimensions are reduced 5 times. It is not possible to rescale with PART_DRW_SCALE '~A' 0.2, because it is not just changing scale, but transforms the drafting along with it. And it is finishing deformed, and still reduced 5 times in values. What We need is just make all the values 5 times greater, to conform original dimensions, without deforming the drafting. P.S. I tried tweaking PTC\Creo Elements\Direct Drafting 18.1\dxfdwg\DXFDWG.con It has no effect on "x times scaling". And the "mm" units are correct. # DXF/DWG to MI Translation Switches StartSection DXF to MI Translator PolymarkerType 2 TranslateDXFPenLineSize 3 TranslateInvisibleLayers OFF CustomUnits ON Units mm UnitsScale 1.0 ContourSnapGap 1E-12 Hatch
Hello everyone, I am experiencing an undesiderable behaviour in CEDM 18: I start moving a face clinking on it, then click on the orange arrow, dragging mouse, on release I expect to see red and green arrows to specify relative quote. These arrows are visible only for a blink of an eye, then they disappear again and the orange arrow (face selection) is shown again. Any idea on how to solve this issue? Thanks!
Hi, I work with Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 18 on two different machines. One of them lists STL in save>file type while the other does not. The software version is the same, the model I'm working on is loaded from the same pkg. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!
Hi We need to delete multiple sheets in Annotation. We have Models with up to 35 Drawing-Sheets. Many thanks Urs Ammann
Hello, Please let me know, if there is a same option such as Intelligent Fasteners in Creo 2.0 . If yes, please let me know how to activate that module. Also, is there a method to Extract Fasteners details of a assembly, without assembling the Fasteners in the assembly. For Example based on the Type of hole sizes in the Model.
Hi, Can anybody help me out for adding custom frames in CED Annotation file? I tried the method suggested by PTC Tech Support but did not work in my case. I tried below method of changing the am_customize file as below ;(docu-register-frame ; :UI-name "Custom-A3"; :Wm-name "" ; :file "C:\Custom_Frames\Custom_A3.mi"; :default :every time) ;; T/NIL/:every time But this did not work. Still the same standard Letter sizes and A0.....A4 sizes are showing. Please help....
Hello everyone, I'm new to Creo software and we need some advice on which software can work with our client's workflow. The client provides us with PKG files, we need to turn on/off visibility of components and then export it as STEP Files. We don't need modeling capabilities, and the client will like to avoid allocating time for the conversion process, and at the same time it's on our side to select what really needs to be exported. We tried the Creo View and the PKG file format is not supported. Is there any other option? What other format is lightweight and easy for them to save as from Creo modeling that we could use Creo View to export? Any guidance will be great. Thanks!
Dear all, regarding to PTC-article CS122349, i would like to suggest, that it would be a benefit, to create dimensions on every geometry which is shown in a CreoElements Drafting file. In the moment shared-shared parts can not be dimensioned but they are also part of geometry in a drawing. Best regards Sven Brüschke/Herrenknecht AG
