a simple caseIf i have a gear and a a ground body.the gear rotates through a motor.thenDOF=6M-N-Oin this case M is the bodies except ground which is 1N is the total number of contraints imposed by joints.in my cas it is pin so it restricts 5 constraintsO is the driver which is 1.Putting these in the Grubler equation gives DOf=6*1-1*5-1=0but i know that it should be one degree of freedom.ie as it rotatesthe system types measures of DOF also gives 0.What is the reason it gives 0 instead of 1.

Hi- I have a question about inheritances. I have a model with many inherited cuts and I want to verify that all inheritance cuts are up-to-date with the "base" model. Ideas?Thanks in advance,Jason

I have an e-beam weldment for which I am using Inheritance Merge. The smallest component of the merge is significantly smaller than the largest component. From the resource reading that I have done I should be using Absolute Accuracy with same value in all components of the merge. I cannot make this happen! The smallest component prompts me that its allowable range is 4.63787968993e-06 to 0.000463834348. The largest prompts me that 0.0004880633 to 0.048811210617 is its allowable range. The two ranges do not meet or overlap. I have not been able to find a solution to this yet. Suggestions please?FYI I am using creo elements/pro 5.0 build M120.M

Hello everyone,We can save 3D models in a variety of formats, is there a "most universally accepted" or useful format out there if people just want to see the geometry/measurements and do not necessarily care about the model tree? HiWe are currently starting user testing for a Wildfire 5 to Creo 2.0 parametric upgrade and i would like to provide the users with a summary of what's new so that they can get quickly up to speed.All i can find is just sales crap about why you should upgade to Creo and not any usefull user documentation to help you in the transition.Anyone have any idea where i might find such documentation??ThanksHugo

How does one move ribbon commands that reside in a flyout menu or "icon split"? I can't seem to move the "paste special" command. I know I could add it to the quick access bar but I simply want to show it on the main ribbon.

I'm having trouble creating a filllet at this corner. It is a solid model created from several merged surfaces. As you can see, the surfaces 1, 2, and 3 come to a point where I have a tangent condition between surfaces 2 and 3. Any good suggestions as to how this can be fixed?
