Hi there,I am writing a document to upper management and I am trying to justify upgrading from WF5 to Creo3. I have a whole list of things but first off I am getting SSD's installed in my Laptop and I am wondering if there would be an even greater advantage in performance using SSD's with Creo3 compared to WF5?Anyone know if WF5 (M060 from way back in 2009!) would take full advantage of the SSD's?  If not and Creo3 does, I can add that to  the list of benefits!ThanksAl

(Currently using the trial verion of QLM)I browsed for some guides but the information provided there does not say anything about 'How to Integrate' Windchill PDMLink or Creo with QLM.Kindly guide.Shweta

What exactly does the little orange dot mean when you look at the round dialog box and it shows next to an edge that I rounded?I think it means that it "assumed" to have found a replacement edge for the one I redefined.I don't know that I like it making those assumptions but it was right this time, but I specifically remember one the other day that it assumed incorrectly. No failures, it just moved my round and the software was happy happy happy...but I was not particularly pleased.[cid:image001.png@01CF5A25.4AD979D0]

Hallo zusammen,ich habe hier eine 3D-STP-Datei, deren Grundkontur ich erzeugen möchte.Unter 3D-Geometrie kann ich mir die Lücken der Datei anzeigen lassen.Dieses dargestellte "Kontur" entspricht der, die ich erzeugen möchte.Geht das? Gibt es einen Trick? Gibt es eine LISP dazu?Ich lege mal ein Bild und die Datei dazu ein.Mit Gruß Werner

Issue:User does not have option to change filename.Expected behavior :“Rename” should be able to change the filename and thus it syncs and makes the same “Number”.The user is able to change only the number and hence the filename and number stay different but the expected behaviour is below

Creo 2, M220I am trying to rename an assy that contains a component that is controlled by Windchill.  I am not trying to rename the Windchill controlled component, only the top level assy.However, Creo is blocking the assy rename because of the Windchill controlled component, which I'm not renaming.How do I get around this?  I know I could set let_proe_rename_pdm_objects to yes, but I don't need (or want) to rename Windchill objects.The Windchill system is the clients, not ours, and I have no access to it.

A slightly trivial subject, and quite possibly an even more trivial answer, but: how do I get Creo2 to show dimmed tangent edges in solid shaded view, like Wildfire used to? Now it looks like Catia, and tbh it's ugly! Options -> Entity Display allows me to choose from a variety of options for tangent edges - but it doesn't seem to respond when I change the setting.

Hello.Is there a way to convert the Relations Units from in to mm? I have a bunch of Relations with constant numbers, i.e. D5=2.5 in, but I don't know a way to convert that in D5=63.5mm. Is there a way to do it automatically? I don´t want to change them one by one, it would take an eternity. Thank you.

Is there a way to make a 2D spline tangent to some other entity, like a line or plane, at a point that is in the middle of the spline, rather than just an endpoint?  The attached picture shows an example of what I am trying to accomplish (easily achievable in SolidWorks).  I can make a line tangent to a spline referenced in a different sketch, but I can't make it work with a line and a spline that are in the same 2D sketch, nor can I make a 2D spline tangent to a line that is referenced from a different sketch.  The only workaround I've found is to use two splines, but that introduces some undesirable changes in curvature continuity that wouldn't be present if it were just one spline.  Note how the spline is tangent to the line in the middle where the red arrow is, and the curvature combs are nice and smooth.  It seems like there has to be a way to do this in Creo as well and I must be missing something; any help would be appreciated.
