Hi Expert Community,I have an application that requires to read data using Modbus serial at a fix rate (for example every 5 minutes). The complete data read by Modbus should be published using IoT Gateway MQTT. However an additional requirement is that using the System tag for DemandPoll, the MQTT client should trigger a new Modbus acquisition and also get the new set of values published immediately.Can you suggest how the scan rate in Modbus and in IoTGateway should be configured?Regards,  

Is it possible to transfer a file using kepware to thingworx. we have a case where thingworx and file both are present in same network but thingworx is in cloud. There are csv files that are written after a set of interval on a local computer. we need to use the same data for visualizing in a mashup.

Is there a way to get a demo license (more than 2 hours) so I can commission a new server with the latest kepware software? I don't want to have to take down production in order to do my commissioning. Other software has been able to provide a 30 day license or something.

Hello,           i am trying to connect ABB FLowx flow computer to Kepware OPC server- KEPServerEX V6.           Added it as OMNIFlow computer to KEPWARE OPC server with tags but with no success in collecting data from tags..           Can i get some info what to do or tutorial on this topic?

Hey all,    Hopefully someone might of had something similar happen to them. We have a number of mould machines, ranging from kraussmaffei, fanuc, engel etc....   We have a reoccurring issue where the kraussmaffei mould machine (Connected to Kepware via Euromap 63) gets shut down for batch changes or maintenance, After a couple hours, the whole of kepware will go down for all the other moulds.    We tested this by disabling kepware for the kraussmaffei machines, and not had any issues since. But we've been unable to narrow down, or really begin on what could be causing this. Any suggestions on where to begin? What to look out for in the event logs? What causes "bad data quality" to the point it breaks?

I'm new here and starting to work with Kepware. For this new site, in the Properties of the RTAC device, if we leave the Block Sizes, Internal Registers at the default setting of 32, the last 11 tags show "Unknown" Value in the Quick Client. If we change the setting to 16, there are 3 Unknown. At 8 there are 3 Unknown, but 9 there are 4. I've tried several other Register numbers and the Unknown tags varies up and down, with no discernible pattern.   We just can't determine the logic behind what is set in Internal Registers and how many tags show an Unknown value. We currently have the setting at 1 and it's showing all the tags.   Anyone know how to properly determine what the Internal Registers should be? I'm attaching 4 screenshots showing the Registers setting and the Tags that are Unknown.   Thanks! Mike    

  Error message is "Connection to ThingWorx failed. Platform = 168.131.31.193:80/Thingworx/WS, error = could not initialize a secure socket connection."   In thin situation, What can i do?     And, I want to know whether data is connected to kepware or not. When I see Channel1.Device1._System,  I think data is incoming to kepware but value don't change. And, when I see JNU_ENV_SVR.GW01, all value is 0. I don't know this is connecting to kepserver well.

Can anyone help solve the problem I'm having in using redundancy master?   when using Redundancy master, only the primary server can read data, when the primary server is down, the secondary server does not work. for the secondary server, it can only be read on the quick client as long as it fills in the prog id and remote machine name manually, whereas if you import tags via "device" in kepware, an error appears as shown in the picture. can anyone help solve this problem?

Hi, I am using Iot-gateway in Kepware, and I want to only send messages if they have quality set to true. I tried to use Advanced templates, but I could not find any guide anywhere on how to use the directives there. H0w to solve the problem of import tags that appear notifications like this on kepware with OPC DA Client?

When trying to write the value from TWX to KepServerEx failed and gave following error:       Write to property failed. | Thing name = 'AdvanceTagsTestingDT', property name = 'Channel2_CalculatedTags', reason = conversion of value '632942' to type 'Short' failed.        The Tag is created in the Simulator Channel type and assigned "K0001" as address to the Tag.@slangley @PaiChung Thanks,Shashi.

Is there a way to avoid creating all tags when setting up a new device?     Right now my current workflow is to create all tags then go back into the system and delete tag groups / tags that the client is not using.  I was curious if there is a better way to do this?

Hii PTC Team,   We are using Kepware and the Advanced Tag plug-in with the above-mentioned details and creating complex tags, which are being updated using a Trigger Tag.   The Issue which we have observed is in terms of Complex Tags configuration, normally Complex Tags should triggered when our Trigger Tags are triggered, but we have observed that whenever we are launching Kepware Quick Client. In that particular timestamp also our Complex Tag is being generated.   We are using this complex tag’s XML data over the ThingWorx Platform and in the ThingWorx Platform valuestream, we observed that whenever we launch the Quick Client of Kepware, then the trigger tag is logged with the launch timestamp. We have set Complex Tag logging to be on only when a value is changed in ThingWorx Platform.   We know this shouldn't be happening because Quick Client is just for monitoring data quality and value, but it is happening.

As per a use case, there are 100 tags each in a Device of KepServerEx, where KepServerEX is connected to a Single industrial Thing, Which is causing an Performance issue. Isn't possible to connect to different Industrial Connections from a single KepServerEx ?@CarlesColl @c_lowy @slangley @paic @VladimirN @AnnaAn ThanksShashi.

Data refresh delay for about 5 - 25 minutes from PLC to Thingworx by Kepware. We connected Thingworx to PLC by Kepware. But the data refreshing is very slowly. Thingworx update the dat is after datata changed in PLC about 5 - 25 minutes.  How can we set the Kepware  to reduce the delay time to less than 3 seconds?
