Hai, in EMX, during ejector pin placement, relief holes will cut only in one insert, this is causing issues when split inserts are available which is sharing same ejector pin holes. one of the example is Blade ejector pins. Please let me know is there any way to cut the ejector pin holes in all sharing inserts with out manual updation.
Hello, imagine you have a very long machining...for example a finishing sequence of 5 hours. I want to machine with 5 tools for example (all the same tool geometry of course). Many CAMs have the possibility to divide the toolpath, either by LENGTH (meters of machining for example), TIME and many others (for example ANGLE, DIRECTION). Is there any possibility to do something similar in Creo ? Thanks.
Hello, when generating a hole table with MARK_COS enabled. Creo 6 crashes. Don't you know what I'm doing? Thanks
Hi, I am using EMX 12.0.0.0 when i am run the macro file it gives the error Can i use my own BOM format to run the macro..?? Is it possible to add the material in EMX Material Library & how..??? Please help.
How can we set the starting point of tool path during milling operation? (In default settings it automatically selects the starting point).
I'm looking for manual or tutorials for NC Sheetmetal module describing the complete overview of the module.
Creo gets crashed while i tick trim upto quilt/body in ejector pin option.this has happened many times, can you give a solution for this problem.
1) Is it possible to add more than 1 finger cam pin for slider in emx? 2) is it possible to change from finger cam pin to dog leg cam in slider? can you please provide a solution.
How to combine several operations into single NC file? (For ex. Facing, End and Volume milling in one NC file)
To all EMX interested users: We uploaded a bunch of new EMX related videos to Youtube.
has anyone else seen this before? It just randomly started happening today no changes to settings or software. on Creo 5.0.4.0 no issues when we run play path but the simulation shows these crazy jagged arcs extending well past the machine travel
Hi, Does somebody know, where to find a postprocessor for LinuxCNC for milling ? Somewhere on the internet I read, that it uses RS-274NGC -code. So maybe there is a postprocessor that can be used ? And if not, do you know a good tutorial on how to create such a postprocessor ? Thanks,
When using 'Roughing' with a mill window in Creo 5 I've been putting a value of 2 or 3 into the parameter CORNER_ROUND_RADIUS as it stops the cutter squawking when it goes into internal corners. However, when I then use Re-rough with a smaller cutter the software doesn't recognise the extra material left in as a result of the CORNER_ROUND_RADIUS parameter being greater than zero, which can cause the second cutter to bite off more than it can chew. Anyone have any idea how to get Re-rough to recognise the additional material and create an appropriate tool path?
Hai all, Please let me know how to place a newly added component to bottom of a existing BOM (as a last item in existing BOM). Right now the newly added components are added as position number-1 in BOM and the existing item which was in Position No- 1 is pushed to position number-2.
Hello all, I'm looking for an application that will add datum axis for all the holes in a part generated via importing neutral files. We use these parts for programming (Pro/NC) - mostly plates with lots of holes on all faces. We have a large library of UDFS built for native Pro/E files and they ask for axis selection, therefore it would save a lot of time to prepare these parts and add all the axis before working on the manufacturing file. Any suggestion is appreciated, Thanks a lot, Anca
Dear All, How can I call a dwell cycle in the wire-edm contouring step? I work on creo 6 Thanks for your help Regards!

I need 4 sliders for my tool I select the slider option, put the dimensions and place it at the required/selected point/location. Is it possible to use the same dimensions for the other 3 sliders without the need to manually change the dimensions every time so that i just have to select only the placing location for the rest 3?
May I know how the thread sizes are identified in hole chart. For example how to differentiate M10x1(pitch) and M10X1.5(pitch) threads separately in hole chart.
Dear Please help how in can using code in Fil to insert text for 1st tool & next tool change at the first tool change i make relation of 1st tool, next tool make ration with next tool Example bellow: Thanks in advance %O1000(** CT H08 D2. **)G91G30Z0G30X0Y0T08M06G55G00G80G91G40G28Z0G49G28X0Y0M05G43Z50.H08M03S2500G00G98G81X37.5Y47.5Z-1.5R1.F200X132.5Y45.Z-5.5R-3.X217.5X312.5Y47.5Z-1.5R1.G91G30Z0G30X0Y0T01M06G4X2.G5P10000G43Z50.H01M03S2900G00X179.Y48.9Z108.Z50.Z1.G01Y53.9G00Z50.G5P0(** End of tape **)G80G91G28Z0G49G28X0Y0M05G90M30%
There is a webinar in October which might catch your interest. Did you ever realize that you can extend the benefits of your moldbase design with an automatic color coding? Learn how this can improve the communication with downstream processes.
Expert Moldbase Extension is now SMARTColor ready Target group: All users who want to improve there Model-Based-Definition process in mold base design With the releases EMX 12.0.0.2, EMX 11.0.2.3 and EMX 10 M033 all plate templates and cut out UDFs are now prepared to apply color coding rules with the help of SMARTColor. This is achieved with the introduction of a new surface parameter EMX_SURFACE_FUNCTION. The value of this surface parameter describes now which function is assigned to a surface. In case you are interested which values we have added to the UDFs in EMX you can read this blog post. In case you what to see how it works in practice you can watch the video.
Hello Is there a way to create pecking in the tapping cycles??? need to output G209 cycle for Heidendain iTCN640 controller. Am using Creo 4.0 M040 Thanks
Creo 4.0, Build M090 We've been seeing some strange messages in the message log when loading in manufacturing assemblies. The first is about relations: No relations have been defined for this model. That's fine, I don't have any relations. So what? Why is it telling me this? The implication is that somewhere there is the expectation of relations and it is "disappointing" the program? The other message another user is getting is scarier: Error in reading file. Incorrect format? This is occurring for any file this guy opens, even one he just created yesterday. This doesn't stop him from working with the files, though, implying that it's not so much an error as a warning. Has anyone had experience with this nonsense?
