I want to get old looking matrix formatted into table with columns as it used to happen in Mathcad 15 I am unsure how to do that in Mathcad Prime   Austin

Hi all, I need your help. I saved my mathcad file and then my computer crashed and now i cannot open it. It says 'The file type is not supported. Log file is located at C:\ProgramData\PTC\Mathcad Prime\Logs\MathcadPrime-Exception_20200506_163436.log Can i recovere it? This is very important! I use Mathcad Prime 5.0

Hi all i want to interpret a pass/fail criteria based on if the point of intersection is above or below the  x-y axis line i.e. for example this would be classed as a pass where the lines intersect below the loading envelop      thanks Ben  

I am trying to install PTC Creo 7.0 Schools edition onto my laptopI downloaded all the software and ran the set up programIt states on the instructions enter BE700908EDSTUDENTEDK12 into the simple license entryI have done this and although it comes back success, in the license summary it states invalid file or format and won't let me contnue.Can you help with this please?Thanks

Hi all i am trying to set a pass/fail criteria based on if the point of intersect is above or below the x-y axis plotted line, is there an easy intersect function that mathcad has? or a pass/fail region that can be defined ?   as shown above this would represent a pass as it is within the region below the limit of the Xt & Lt plotted line   thanks Ben 

Dear Community,   I am unable to solve a particular equation having a unknown value. After evaluating it is giving the same variable in answer. Any suggestions how to avoid this?    

I downloaded the trial version, but when I go to open the file it does not work, the loading screen will come up for a couple of seconds, then just disapear.

Dear Community!I installed PTC Mathcad Express Prime 7.0.0.0. (30 days full version) 28 days ago. I used this program for my project (it is a 70-page Mathcad document). Yesterday I got PTC Mathcad Prime 5.0.0.0. from my school. Now I have the problem that I can’t open my document which doesn’t include any features from Mathcad 7. Is there any solution for this problem? If this problem can’t be solved than can you tell me how I can copy this from my Mathcad 7 document (I am still having the Mathcad 7 document and the Pdf)I am looking forward to your answers. Hello,   Attached is a Mathcad 15 file. It is for incremental/ iterative solution using Newton-Raphson method to trace a nonlinear curve.  I am using another example that has a solution. It is enclosed in the sheet. 1. I am unable to plot the curve resulting from Newton-Raphson. 2. i don't know how to plot the graph "number of Iterations" vs. "Increment"  3. I don't know what " While 1" in the attached file mean. Both solutions are included in the attached file but i am not able to generate them.   Thanks, Sam

 

I was evaluating two functions with columns of a matrix. They plotted fine, but when I multiplied them, the result did not (got an error). It eventually dawned on me to convert to index form and that worked fine. Why is this? Example is at the end of the worksheet.

I tried to find the maximum of the real function (n*p) but I failed. I used maximize and minerr commands. Where did I go wrong? What does TOL and CTOL mean? Thanks!

When i want to define a variable by := I get the following error,An unhandled exception occurred on the dispatcher thread. See C:\ProgramData\PTC\Mathcad Prime\Logs\MathcadPrime_Exception_20201225_021742.log for more information. Prime will attempt to save any modified files and close.Please restart the application.What should I do?

I am using Prime 5 for a large file (50 pages) primarily consisting of program modules. The Prime 5 code breaks done every 15 minutes with this message: An Unhandled exception occurred. See C:\ProgramData\PTC\MathcadPrime\Logs\ MathcadPrime_Exception_29201225_174635.log for more information. Prime will attempt to save any modified files and close. Please restart the application. The corresponding information is not available because the directory \logs\etc. cannot be found. The error occurs during editing and during calculation. I use Prime 5  since several years on smaller files without similar problems. Has anybody experience with this problem?

Can someone please help me to open one file, all others are ok but this one that i need is not possibile to open. Is it possibile to restore it or??

Hello all,   I am planning on making my Mathcad sheets more efficient and wanted the sheets to select by themselves from tables the properties of steel sections as shown in my screenshot. And recieve an output in my calculation sheet.   Unfortunately I have not come to a good solution. I managed to reference for example three different sheets with for 3 section types (each sheet has one table with all the section properties), but once Mathcad discovers the desired section in a row ( lets say row "x") it also goes into the following referenced sheets and reads the line x in all tables and gives me the output from the last sheet I referenced. How can I make Mathcad stop reading tables once it found the right table? Or do I have a completely wrong approach to it? Thank you very much already for your help, Joe

Sir, I am a final year student, doing my 4th-year project on MathCAD, I am referring to a paper which also used your software hence I gave it a shot too. I have finished my 30-day trial and my college promised me that they will get the license, but it doesn't seem to be the case anymore. The code uses functions not available in the 'Express version'. I am from a third world country and there is no chance my parents are going to let me buy the software. Is there any way that you can make an exception in my case and lend me a license for another 2-3 months while I can finish my project and submit it for my final year. I can share my source file with you for you to verify the work I am doing. I will be grateful if you could help me out.

Hi there,   Recently I reinstalled my win 10 so I had to reinstall all of my softwares, including Mathcad 6.0 prime (student version). Although when I inform my account to validate my license I'm unable to use the same I've installed at first time. Any tips?

I'm running v11 on a win7, 32-bit machine, which has been slowing down over time as Windows seems to accumulate "stuff" (could say the same about me). I decided to try a solid-state drive (SSD) as a replacement for my hard disk, hoping this would speed things up. I just tried the new SSD, and while my PC is certainly faster, and all other apps seem to work, mathcad is broken. When I try to start it, it tells me that the license file is damaged.   When I created the SSD clone, I did a "forensic" copy, which claims to write all sectors, whether used or not. If I recall correctly, MCD11 uses the MAC address as a device key, so I expected this to work. Alas, it didn't. As I don't think I can get any help for this from PTC, any suggestions?   Lou
