i am using a table for various parameters used in later calculations. It all seems to be working well until page 5 of 8 where the error message "this value must be a scalar" is displayed for 2 of the calculations. Being relative new to mathcad i have not been able to find a solution to solve this error. any assistance would be appreciated.

First I am working on editing a program I worked in the past on Mathcad 15 that exports all answers to Excel. One issue my team has been complaining about is that, in order to get the program to export all answer you need to scroll to the bottom of the Mathcad (which is somewhere around 144 pages). I'm wondering if there is a command that I can add to make Mathcad do all the equations in the worksheet without scrolling?

Team, Hope you can help me with one more question. I was solving on-bottom stability and I'm stucked on aproximation of the integral of the function. There are many ways how to solve this Trapezoidal rule, SImpson's rule etc.. so any of those would be great (but not sure how to program any of them). Do you know some descriptions and solutions of this problem? 2. Can you help me to use not a X-Y plot but a polar plot for the solution and for an illustrations? 3. Can we think about a symbolic solution? 4. Can we have better initial conditions for the not crazy numerical solution and for more nice moving of the Pendulum-chain? Thank you!
I grabbed this code from an old posting and converted it to 4.0. It does what it is supposed to do - generate random unique integers. But there is a problem - if I request a dataset longer than the max value it never finishes - just crunches for ever. (in Prime or 15) I can't figure out why it would do that. Anyone see the fix? (or have another tool that generates unique integers?)

I can not get my "Ncoor" function to work, his work is the same as the program on the right (which has "x3i y3i" as a result), but I can not store the result in "x4i y4i" (as seen in the sheet ). In summary what is expected is that the vectors x3, y3 should be equal to x4, y4 (as verification), but made with a function, where the value of "af" can change. As well:The program is used to find the coordinates of a figure given a line (given by the value "af") that cuts the figure from above, the problem is that I never get the first point (0,0) that should be (0.263, 0.7) m, for this case of coordinates, and for any case of coordinates it takes the value of the last point. Hi everyone, for a second time I’ll ask for your help, I still working on a particle retention research and I would be really thankful if someone could help me out with this. Let me explain the situation: I need to solve an equation that allows me to match experimental data to the Filippov model and here begins the problems, the experimental data represents a discrete distribution for particle and pore size distribution, but the Filippov model used a continuous log-normal distribution function for particles and bilog-normal distribution function for membrane pores, I’ve been trying to use the “dlnorm” function from Mathcad but I suppose that something is wrong because it doesn’t work like it supposed to do. I’ve been reading a paper that claims to solve the integro-diffrential equations for flux J(t) and for the injected volume V(t), this paper however, does not give much detail about it. Thank you in advance, I am open to advices related to this particular challenge.
Attempting to do basic "For Loop" program on a nested matrix/vector using Mathcad prime 4.0. As you can see below the right "test" program snippet is displaying an error.The error message I get is reads "This operation can only be performed on an array". The left "test" program snippet is performing the evaluation when the "k" counter is omitted from "chk" variable. In this case returning result for "k" = 4. I was anticipating right "test" program snippet returns a [4x1] matrix or vector after evaluating for each "k" value. Would someone help with an insight on how to resolve this issue?
I am getting two different solutions depending on whether I solve indirectly (solve symbolically for the equation first and then plug in variables) or directly (plug variables into the equation and then solve) with the symbolic solver. I have checked using a solve block near the bottom of the sheet and also by hand. I am having trouble recognizing where the the incorrect solution from the direct method is coming from... Is it not good practice to send units through the symbolic solver? Any help is appreciated.

Hello to all expert Mathcaders 🙂 I have to preface my question by saying that I am a newbie in the whole field of acoustics. I am however an expert in structural analysis. So please answer my question keeping in mind that fact. I now find myself in a situation where I have to determine the structure-borne sound/sound transmission characteristics of rubber structures. With the aid of harmonic analyses, I can determine the sound transfer function (in dB) and the so called transmission loss (also in dB) of the these structures. I can then make plots of for example transmission loss (in dB) versus frequency (Hz). However, the x-axis, which is the frequency is a linear distribution of the frequencies which corresponds to the frequencies as derived from the harmonic analysis. So let us say I performed my harmonic analysis for a frequency range from 0Hz to 500 Hz at intervals of 1Hz. That means that I have 501 result points for the frequency and the determined values of the

Hi guys,I used Mathcad prime 3.0 to create a work sheet for On-Bottom Stability Design of Submarine Pipelines according to the DNV-RP-F109 recommended practice. However, when i would like to print my page (as pdf or to printer) it takes extremely long and the program does not respond. Is there anything to solve this problem? Is it perhaps better to work in Mathcad 15?I have spend a great deal of time in creating the worksheet and thus would rather keep working in Mathcad prime 3.0 instead of Mathcad 15, what is your advice on the matter?kind regards,Sagar
Hello! I installed Mathcad 15 yesterday, requested a test license during installation and also signed up on the PTC website. It worked, only until i had to deinstall it due to other programs (Autodesk Revit 2018) not working after insallation of Mathcad 15. Now i am trying to reinstall it, but i don't know if i can get a new license or how to use the existing one. Please help, as i have no clue on how the whole licensing works here. Best regards, C

Hi, I'm a new user (but in fact a very old one) with mathcad prime 4. Since few month I'm my own boss. For the first time I have bought mathcad prime and install it, before it was TI guy who do that for me. But I have more than 6000 mathcad files (from mathcad 8 to mathcad prime 3). I need to convert some of them but I need mathcad 15. I don't have mathcad 15 but someone explain to me that I have the right to install mathcad 15 and mathcad prime on the same computer... I can't use both mathcad in same time but only for converting. Is it right ? where can I find mathcad 15? Yves Rossignol

I thought I had understood all the procedure, converting the spherical coordinates into cartesian and plotting. However, i've try to plot only a section of them (i.e. half of it, or form theta = 0 to theta = 3*pi/4) and didn't work. I've try change the start and end values of range. Can anyone give a hint where to find this subject to study or what modifications I need to do to be able to plot this? Thanks!
Hello,When I try double clicking any of my calculation sheets I get "there was a problem sending the command to the program"I work on a network license for Mathcad 15. OS is Windows 7. Anyone faced this problem before?There is a way to get around this of course by clicking 'open' in mathcad and navigate to the location of the file, or by copying the path directly into the path box.Any suggestions on what could be the problem?Many thanks,Ahmad
Hi Team, I'm brand new user of Mathcad Prime 4.0. Trying to solve simple equation by iteration. What is the easiest way to solve this attached equation. Idea behind is to change or increase k1 until left and right side are equal or at least close to each other (let's say error of 0.01). Everything else is a constant. Thank you in advance
