Mathcad

In the figure below, Altitude (prediction) and Altitude (experiment) are both functions of time. How do I eliminate the title "Time(experiment)" from the x-axis. I would like to have the x-axis title as "t" only.

So i have a dell laptop that recently upgraded to windows 10  from windows 8. The only way we can get it to work with Mathcad 15 so far is to run it  in windows 7 compatibility mode but it takes a long time to start but when going to page setup option under "File" it freezes for  a few seconds and then looks like its about to open but then nothing happens. Other than that seems to work fine. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I don't think I've encountered this error before.   I wonder if it's related to running M15 040 under Windows 10 (or just an M15 040 issue?Stuart

New MathCAD user here. I have spent the last day going through other solve block issues and see if someone else made a similar mistake as myself, to no avail.I am trying to solve a 3 variable system of equations with solve block and get and error. Any guidance is appreciated

I have a real life work problem I'm attempting to use MathCAD to solve. I'm computing the response time history of a coasting rotation inertia and at time zero reverse motor torque is applied. I have an 8th order state space model and I'm using Rkadapt to solve. The motor torque is a function of shaft speed and is thus a function of one of the state variables. I have the function as tabular data (lookup table). Any suggestions on how to formulate the motor torque?

Hi everybody:I have got a problem with MathCad. When I define a function without If statement, everything is fine. However, as you can see from attached MathCad file, with adding if statement in my function, an error appers that "this value must be scalar"Any idea why this happens. Hi Folks,I'm a professor at a large university (40,000 undergrad students and grad students).  I'm teaching a math review class for grad students and asked them to vote on what software they wanted me to use, Mathcad, Matlab, Mathematica or Maple.  I briefly described each and told them Mathcad was capable and the easiest to use.  The vote was unanimous for Matlab, so that's what we're using.I can't help thinking that MCAD users are a small and shrinking group.  Do we have any numbers on the size of the MCAD community and where new users might come from?Thanks for your attention.

I am trying to solve a symbolic inequality with multiple variables.  I can't seem to get a solution in general when I have explicit constants in the constraint that contain decimal points.  How do I go about solving such problems?

Hi..I have one articulation in creo parametric 2.0, and I have to check its feasibility for different condition by passing creo dimension values to mathcad.Now, I have integrated Mathcad Prime 2.0 and creo parametric 2.0 and added mathcad file as a feature in creo model.But my issue is while i am running one condition and regenerating model, mathcad file also getting run and which will take so much time.first of all i have to do all condtion and then only i want to run mathcad file and not for every condition.So please can anyone let me know, how to run mathcad feature as per user requirement and not every time.Thanks,Prashant Pandarkar

I'm having a problem with Help in M15 040.  After my first install, M15 wouldn't find the Help files, so I uninstalled it and installed it again.  Now all I get is about half a dozen of the following error dialogs but still no Help.   Has anybody else had this problem?  Win 10 installation, replacing a previously successful Win 7 M15 030 installation.Stuart

We recently installed PTC Mathcad Express Trial per Aaron Shaw's recommendation  - http://blogs.ptc.com/2012/04/09/converting-your-worksheets-to-mathcad-prime-2-0-in-3-easy-steps/ However, XMCD, MCD converter function is still not working; failed sign says 'Mathcad 15 M010 or a later version is necessary to run the converter'Please help!

In the attached Prime worksheet I am trying to use the "logical or" function within a nested if statement. I believe the error is due to db being a 1x1 vector. Is there a way to convert this from a 1x1 vector to a scalar value?

I'm fairly new to Mathcad (Prime 3.1) and I generally use a spreadsheet program to develop my calculations. I'd like to start converting my spreadsheets to Mathcad sheets, but this hasn't been easy due to the fundamental differences between each program. I'm trying to respect this is much as possible, but I'm having a hard time seeing crossing the bridge between the "excel method" and the "Mathcad method".The table on the second sheet ("Evaluation of Reinforcement Rupture") of the attached XLSX file is basically what I'm trying to recreate in Mathcad. I intend for the user of the Mathcad sheet to make adjustments to this table as needed (adding/deleting rows, changing the value under the "Type" column, etc.), however the formulas for each cell will remain the same.  I've looked at Excel Components, Matrices, Tables, etc., but I'm hitting a wall in the sense that I'm not sure if there is even a comparable approach for Mathcad. Hi All,I'd like to define and use a truncated normal distribution with both lower and upper limits.I use the general Wikipedia discription for reference:Truncated normal distribution - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaMy xmcd file is attached.I managed to define the PDF function with only lower limit, and check returns its ok (its integral on the lower bound - infinite range equals 1).However, trying with two limits, the check integral has big values, way more than one.Can anybody help me with this?
