Is Mathcad 15 compatible with windows 10?

Hello everyone,We have Mathcad prime 3.1. We recently installed PTC Mathcad Express Trial per Aaron Shaw's recommendation  - http://blogs.ptc.com/2012/04/09/converting-your-worksheets-to-mathcad-prime-2-0-in-3-easy-steps/ However, XMCD, MCD converter function is still not working; failed sign says 'Mathcad 15 M010 or a later version is necessary to run the converter'Please help!

In the attached Prime worksheet I am trying to use the "logical or" function within a nested if statement. I believe the error is due to db being a 1x1 vector. Is there a way to convert this from a 1x1 vector to a scalar value?

I'm fairly new to Mathcad (Prime 3.1) and I generally use a spreadsheet program to develop my calculations. I'd like to start converting my spreadsheets to Mathcad sheets, but this hasn't been easy due to the fundamental differences between each program. I'm trying to respect this is much as possible, but I'm having a hard time seeing crossing the bridge between the "excel method" and the "Mathcad method".The table on the second sheet ("Evaluation of Reinforcement Rupture") of the attached XLSX file is basically what I'm trying to recreate in Mathcad. I intend for the user of the Mathcad sheet to make adjustments to this table as needed (adding/deleting rows, changing the value under the "Type" column, etc.), however the formulas for each cell will remain the same.  I've looked at Excel Components, Matrices, Tables, etc., but I'm hitting a wall in the sense that I'm not sure if there is even a comparable approach for Mathcad. Hi All,I'd like to define and use a truncated normal distribution with both lower and upper limits.I use the general Wikipedia discription for reference:Truncated normal distribution - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaMy xmcd file is attached.I managed to define the PDF function with only lower limit, and check returns its ok (its integral on the lower bound - infinite range equals 1).However, trying with two limits, the check integral has big values, way more than one.Can anybody help me with this? I don't see where I made something wrong.Thanks in advance.Zsolt

Dear friends,I have problem trying to return a range from vlookup.  I have a table input which defines the steel gage number against the metric thickness.  The metric thickness is in column 0 and the gages in subsequent columns.  This variable is named "gages"My calculation sheet is looking at the resistance of steel walls on a silo, and can have up to 35 different thickness in the one silo.  So I have a 1 x 35 input table in which the steel thickness is entered "Sidewall".  This is a unitless variable, which relates to the metric thickness of the steel.All I want to do, using the vlookup function is to return the actual steel gage numbers for each of the Sidewall thicknesses.  Here is what I have entered:wga[rn:vlookup(Sidewall[rn,gages,1)   rn is the range variable 1..35What I was hoping was to get an output wga[rn, which gives me a 1 x 35 matrix of the steel gage numbers.  Instead, what I get is 35 row matrix of nested 1 x 1 matrices.&nbs

I'd like to get  purely real solution out of the symbolic solver (ie not a product of i) - is it possible to require this? For example solving  x^2 +y^2 = 1 for x should return sqrt(1-y^2).Am I just failing to use assume keyword correctly?ThanksJoe

Dear PTC CommunityFrom a set of x and corresponding y values I'm trying to solve a system of equations and for this I'm of course using a set of boundary conditions. One of these is that all solution values are equal to or above zero (i.e. non-negative) but despite using the minerr-function to solve the system I still get negative values. They are, however, quite small and the results are thus usable but it seems strange to me that the negative values can't be avoided. Is there a way to strictly enforce a boundary condition?

How do i know which coefficients go with which independent variables in a second order polynomial with 3 independent variables? I have extracted 10 coefficients but now want the equations to use elsewhere.

In my mathCAD sheet, I've solved this four bar linkeage for any user input of crank position, but what I'd like to do now is develop equations to describe the motion of the links (and particularly a point in question) through out the entire 360 degree range of my crank arm.  This sheet uses scalar position equations and Given / Find solve blocks to solve for link arm angle, angular velocity, and angular acceleration based on the user input of crank angle, which in my sheet is θ2. I would like to make θ2 a range variable, or a matrix of values from 0 - 360 degrees so I can output and then plot the motion of the point I'm looking for, but I'm stuck.  The Given / Find block fails, and then obviously the rest of the sheet fails.  If I'm approaching this incorrectly from a programming stand point, please let me know.

Dear all,I got thanks a discussion chain some Mathcad macro's to read data in any worksheet in an excel file but thw woksheet name has to be known.My data acquisition system generates automatically excel data table with every time new worksheet names. Is it possible to obtain all the worksheet names of an excel file directly from Mathcad ?Second question:It is possible to read directly from Mathcad data within worksheet of Excel file and it works well.Is it possible to do the reverse, ie to write data direclty from Mathcad in specific worksheets of an excel file ?I have Mathcad 14 (will have mathcad 15 next year)Thank youP.Bujard

How to integrate mathcad prime2.0 worksheet with creo parametric2.0 with output value type as a string?I have integrated my mathcad worksheet with creo parametric but unable to make its model parameter so i want to know how we can add it by relation or else.and secondly if i give my mathcad output value in string format then i am not able to make its integration.Thanks,Prashant Pandarkar

Every approximately 10 times I start a Mathcad 15 session under Windows 7 it ends with "mathcad not responding".  I cannot close Mathcad, Task Manager cannot close Mathcad, but mostly I can  stop Mathcad in the process window by ending the process.  Does this happen to anyone else or am I a lone sufferer with  some computer/operating system glitch?  This often happens  when I  have been editing e.g. plots.Dave Snelling

Is it possible in Mathcad to write a function that provides the nearest multiple of a value without going over a particular ceiling? For example, I have a maximum allowable bolt Ø of 0.33in. Bolts come in 0.125in (1/8in) Ø increments. I'd like Mathcad to provide me with a 0.25in Ø bolt size (as 0.375in exceeds 0.33in). I tried Ceil(0.33in,0.125in) but the result is 0.375in.

I just converted over to Prime 3.0. Before I used to use Mathcad v8.  The option that i used the mose was to craete an equation & then have Mathcad symbolically solve for the variable. In mathcad 8 I would do the following steps:1.) define an equation with some variables, using the ctrl+= (so I get the bold =)2.) click on the variable I wanted to solve for3.) In the top menu bar click "symbolic", then "variable", then solveThat was it ... I can not find that in the new Prime 3

I am trying to create a mathcad in which the user selects one of the two options (lets say Load Case 1 & Load Case 2) in the beginning of the sheet. Subsequent to this selection, a few calculations take place in the sheet. Now when the user is lets say 10 pages down, I want him to be able to switch between these options so that all the calculations in the mathcad now reflect the results based on this revised choice. I was hoping to see something like a "freeze panes" option in excel or to see some floating region which would be visible at all times to the user.
