Hi,How to calculate this sums:
Hi,Why without adding that else NaN at the final the plot is showing the waveform, but after that else NaN was added at the final of the function then the plot failed?
Hi,I do not understand this error in which root function found a number greater than 10^307, as we can see from the plot that on the interval [0.1,10] the magnitude did not go above -1, nor above 1... On the other hand if we specify also the interval [0.1, 10] inside the root function then the root gives no more this error, and can calculate. I do not understand why in the first way root function give that error, as I expected root function to be evaluated between [0.1, 10] interval also in the first way, given only the guess values inside the root function, and not specify explicitly the interval.
Service Contract-9R2231951Dear Mathcad Support Team,I hope this message finds you well.I am writing to seek your assistance with an issue we are facing in our company, Tetra Tech, as we try to implement artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT to create design templates in Mathcad. We are encountering the following challenges:1. When we copy code in Mathcad format generated by AI tools and paste it into Mathcad, it appears as text rather than functioning code.2. Additionally, we are facing a similar issue when trying to copy and paste code from one template to another. The copied content is pasted as text, and we are unable to use it directly as Mathcad expressions or code.As part of our ongoing initiative to integrate AI-driven tools into our workflow for efficiency and innovation, we would greatly appreciate your guidance or any solutions to address these copy-paste formatting issues. Please let us know if there is any specific setting, format, or method to ensure that the code from
Hello dear community, I have a problem determining the roots of my function. What I want to know is the values of the Y points (black color) for each graph. Hi all, can anyone teach me how to produce the results based on the if statement as shown in the attached picture? Thank you for your kind help:')
When I add units it shows this error . How to fix it and why it happens?I attached the files usedit works with the first column but not with the second and third: Thanks in advance
As part of my standard(ish) formatting principles, I like to use UniMath Prime (or another mathematical font, such as IBM Plex Serif or TeX Gyre Schola) to highlight variable/function names in Text Regions. To make life simpler, because I'm inherently lazy and prefer to put less effort in than I need, I created a Text Style named Variable that allows me to select a variable or function name and apply an italic maths font to that name. I want to use UniMath Prime for that font, but Mathcad's Text Style editor won't allow me to use it in any style. UniMath Prime Bad. Tec Gyre Schola Good I'm not sure if this is a bug or deliberate, but it's a bug from my point of view, and I'd be grateful if PTC could fix it. Stuart
Can I automatically create in Mathcad 15 a Text Box based on the first column of an excel sheet?
Hello everyone,I'm currently working on a task for my marine engineering studies where I need to calculate and plot vectors in Mathcad. The task involves adding vectors and representing them as arrows in a diagram. I’ve managed to define the vectors and perform the calculations, but I’m struggling with how to effectively plot them as arrows in Mathcad. Here’s a brief outline of what I’m trying to do:Define vectors (e.g., A = [Ax, Ay], B = [Bx, By])Calculate the sum of the vectors (e.g., C = A + B)Plot these vectors on a 2D diagram with arrowheads indicating their direction.I’m unsure how to add arrows to represent them properly. Is there a way to directly add arrows in Mathcad, or would I need to annotate the plot manually? If anyone has experience with this or any tips on the best approach, I would greatly appreciate your help! Thanks in advance for your assistance! Best regards,Michael
Is Mathcad prime 9000 still working? Is it mandatory to use prime 10? Why I'm having this message ?
Good morning, everyone. I came across an issue regarding the floating license file for MATHCAD PRIME 10. After having successfully installed and used for some time, an error appeared on my log files in the server (see below):2024-09-09 06:05:07,173 root.Vendor (ptc_d) ERROR: Parsing licensing\license.dat at line 1 on token .2024-09-09 06:15:07,178 root.Vendor (ptc_d) ERROR: Parsing licensing\license.dat at line 1 on token . It looks like appearing every 10 minuts or so. By inspecting the license file at line 1, I am not able to understand the issue. In a previous thread I posted, I had some problems when I borrowed the license for testing purpose and I found out that the borrow time was automatically set-up by the license server for one week. When it was finally released we started to have these issues. Did someone encounter a similar issues? I would appreciate some support. I am not an IT specialist, but a MATHCAD user and I might have made some mistake
I am using Mathcad Release 15.0 and DatecodeM050FDOT program within Mathcad 15.0We tried the resolution from your knowledge basedhttps://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS281384?source=search- user is using Mathcad 15.0 with updated date code M050- installed MS Office 32 bit.The issue reoccurs with the same error. Here are the errors that I facedMicrosoft VBScript runtime error Line: 15 Error:0Object required: Combo box
I got a license for MATCAD Prime from my school (HTL Spengergasse, Vienna) but I have a big problem. I have redeemed the MATCAD license too often and on too many different devices - Today I wanted to download MATCAD Prime on my work device and redeem the license because I need the program for today's math class, but now I get an error message that goes something like this: "You have redeemed the license too often and reached the limit, if you have any further questions contact PTC Support". I then did some research and found out that you have to deactivate the license on the other devices so that you can redeem the license on the new device again, but that's the problem: I redeemed the MATCAD Prime license on my Macbook Air m2 in a virtual machine that no longer exists - so I can no longer deactivate the license. I therefore wanted to ask customer support whether they would allow me to redeem my license again, it is a very urgent matter. Translated by the moderation using Google
I mistakenly attached a photo with a wrong extension to my MathCAD file. Now, it's not opening the wrong extension is .1 instead of .jpg The version is Prime 7.0.0.0 I will appreciate a lot if you could help me recover the file even if it will be just the texts and equations!
Hi all, is there any ways to import the data from excel into the Mathcad table? Data in excel table Data in Mathcad Table Thank you for your help! *i'm using MathCad Prime 10.0.0.0
This message appeared out of a sudden, I don't have any backups alternative to this file as that may cause an absolute failure for my diploma work. Please, HELP ME! I can't really endure the loss.
Hi all, does anyone knows why there's 'i' in the results of the last equation?Regards,
Whenever I define a range variable and then try to do some matrix operations on it (like finding its length, max/min and transpose...) Mathcad responds with an error saying the operation can all be done on a vector or array. How do I convert my range variable into an array?Version: Mathcad Prime 10
Is there any way to set default unit outputs. I'd like it to read Kip*Ft. I've seen people complain about this issue in the past but cant seem to find a solution. I've attached a portion of the sheet.
I want to be able to import drawings made in other software.
The Mac Address in my License Files are all false, none of mine are the same as the ones in the files.I never changed anything about my machine, it's the exact same for 3 years now. Am I missing something? How can I request a correct or new File?
Hey,I want to solve the system in the first file symbolically, so that it leaves p in the answer as a parameter (the phi1(p), phi2(p), etc are unimportant and can be renamed x,y, z). I'm not quite sure how to do that; I googled around a bit and the closest solution I found was in the "Symbolic solving" section of this link: https://www.mathcad.com/en/blogs/solving-systems-equations-mathcadI included the picture from that section which explains well what I need to do - basically, create a vector of equations.I tried to implement this, but I can't figure out how to actually type an equation into a vector. Whenever I try to type an = or := sign, it takes me out of the vector. I tried copy-pasting, too, to no avail. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks)
Prime 10 attached
Whilst looking at another worksheet in Mathcad Prime 10, I noticed that an as-yet undefined variable in a loop had a value (albeit zero) I can't remember if this was standard behaviour in previous versions of Mathcad or not. However, it certainly caused me some moments of pondering whilst I tried to determine how a variable was initialized in a much longer program (that I was trying to understand in the first place!).
