I'm having some issues heres, if someone could help that would be very appreciated . I want to solve the following equation : Y=x(R2/(R1+R2)Where : Y=0.8,X=12,R1=10R2=UnknownSo I type the following on mathcad : R1:= 10 X:=12Y:=0.8Y=x(R2/(R1+R2) => Solve,R2Unfortunately it keeps saying that R2 is undefined . Does someone know what's going on here ?Thanks a lot guys.

Hello,I have few questions in the attached MathCAD 15 sheet:1. I had to Victoria's the equation to make it work but i did not do to others. I'd like to know why.2. I expect to see three values in the results for each variable, but not able to. My initial input is three lengths Lx, Ly and Lz and I need to get the strength results for  three different lengths. Then arrange then as such  so for each length, the corresponding strength. Thanks,Sam

Hi!   I want to embed a MathCad file in to word. This is possible to do in Word, however it seems that it is only possible to embedd MathCad 15, and not MathCad Prime.   Has anyone been able to embedd MathCad Prime versions into word, e.g. MathCad Prime v.8.0?

Hi, I noticed in the attached sheet that I couldn't integrate a function containing vector input. The same issue came up in my solve blocks trying to find a solution for an equation with vector input. I made a work around by splitting up the vector input in individual elements. Does anyone know a solution that doesn't involve splitting up the vector input? I have highlighted my questions in the attached sheet. Thank you!

Hi, I have problem with step range function when I put step which gives me array with more than 5000 elements. It gives me an error with overflowing. It is really strange for me because when I insert an array with more than 5000 elements from excel table, it works fine. So, do you know why this is happening, because 5000 elements doesn't sound too big for me. If it's overflowing, do you know other way how I can make an array with size of inserted array from excel, because it is important for me that number of elements of array can vary with using other excel tables. Thanks in advance and Best Regards!

hi I'm in charge of application support.  How do you generate a mathcad usage report?  i would like to see a list of machine names/usernames/ datetimes and license number to see who is using what version and when?  I have tried doing this through the ptc community website it all it gives me is the license and subscription information.  not the detailed users who are checking out the licenses.  thanks

 Could someone explain, please, how possible to build two or more curves at one graph (plot) in MathCAD Prime? "This variable is undefined. Check that the label is set correctly." the error message is shown.

Just started to use MathCAD Prime v8.0 (before were using MathCAD 15). Is it correct, that if variable has a subcript, then the "Find" function for this variable does not work?Just if it true, it does not make sence to use this software -> because user cannot trace the path of this variable in the entire document.

I have a problem with the eigenvals() function. USALLY the results are sorted from largest to smallest, but occasionally they will be out of order. I have found the following simple matrix that demonstrates this:[A] = 1.0053 1.0053 1.0053 1.0053 2.0001 2.0001 1.0053 2.0001 3.4365 eigenvals(A) = {5.301 0.337 0.803}This can be a tremendous problem if, for example, I have a 100x100 matrix and I only need the first 3 eigenvalues and their associated eigenvectors.See attached mathcad sheet with demo and illustration of what I go through to sort the values and vectors properly. Surely there must be a better way!

Hello, I would like to solve an equation containing vectors (the result is also a vector) using programming. I tried using the solve block as indicated in the attached file, but I don't obtain the expected results (see Case 2). The expected result should be equal to the "y" vector from Case 1 highlighted in grey. Am I using the Solve block incorrectly? Is it possible to create a program for this situation (proffered solution).I am using Mathcad Prime 8. Thank you,Otilia

Hello All.   This question explicitly is addressing Mathcad PRIME (Current Version 8).  Not Mathcad 15. Is there a workaround on how to "easily" employ the Del Operators such as gradient, curl, and divergence in Mathcad Prime.  We can do it "long-hand," but not like what we had with Mathcad 15, so the Mathcad Prime presentation of the equation is more intuitive to students and closer to what we write on the chalkboard.  I can roll with the use of the Einsteinian Notation or Vector/Del or even just plain grad(), curl(), Div() notation. Cheers and Thanks.Bill CapehartSD Mines

Hello guys, I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I would appreciate input from others regarding my problem. Maybe I did a stupid mistake so please excuse that. In the picture you can see that I assigned all the Units regarding my Problem that I want to solve for, but nevertheless, mathcad tells me they are not compatible.
