Mathcad

Good morning, I'm trying to create a mathcad code for analysis of RC sections but I'm getting this problem. It was supposed that the vector esk was 10e-5 in all elements, but some in some terms I'm getting 4x1 when was supposed to be 0, how can i solve it? My code is in annex if someone wants.

I believe the last time I tried converting a Mathcad 15 file to Prime was with Prime 3.0, and as I recall it was a dismal failure.  I use Mathcad to solve sets of simultaneous nonlinear equations, with lots of 2D and 3D plots to visualize the output. It is very easy in Mathcad 15, and I am concerned with PTC's inability to recreate Mathcad 15's plotting capabilities in Prime. I thought I had read something to the effect that PTC was not going to support Mathcad 15 after Windows 10.  Can anyone tell me if this is true?  If so, I may have to search for a new tool.

I am somewhat new to fitting data using Mathcad (15), so I apologise if this is a stupid question.   I have experimental data on the temperature dependence of the molar volume (Vm) and isochoric specific heat (Cv) of a compound.The former is related to the internal energy, the latter to the first derivative of the internal energy. If I use Debye-based models, then the Debye temperature is a common variable for both functions, the molar volume includes two additional variables. The number of data points for the two independent data sets is different. I can fit each function separately, but I wish to fit them simultaneousy to determine the best estimate of the Debye temperature.   Is there a simple way of carrying out multiple function fitting in Mathcad?   Many thanks   Kevin

Hello,   I am trying to make a program using Mathcad. My goal is to first finish calculation for a column of data, assign the outcome and then progress to the subsequent columns. The program is telling me that "Array Index is Invalid". Please help me out through it. My version is Prime 4.   Thank you, Shakib

In the thread Re: Similar to vector matrix product, but different… the poster put the return value from a program inside the loop, which you don't normally see. Out of idle curiosity, I wondered if it had any effect on Mathcad's performance by doing this rather than placing the return value outside of the loop.   I also wondered what effect using the Prime row operator would make and doing without the vectorized multiplication.  What I found rather surprised me, in that the row operator method was considerably faster than the original column method.   I looked at doing array expansion by replicating a column-wise to conform with b and then doing Hademard (element-by-element) multiplication.   I also tried transposing b, multiplying each "column" by its corresponding vector element and then transposing the result.  This is what I found (on an i7 with 8 GiB RAM running Windows 10).I was surprised to see that the row operator method was so quick.&nb

Hi everyone,   I am experiencing two problems:   1. The classic "this value must be a matrix of scalar elements" when trying to multiply matrices. I have multiplied matrices which had complex elements before, so I am unsure why now the elements must be scalar.   2. Every matrix element below shows as {1,1}. How to show the actual values of each element instead?   Thank you.

I tried to look up soil layer properties based on layer depth shown in the table using function Shaft_Matrix. Don't know why the Shaft_Matrix function returns layer 2 properties at depth 5'. I have been stuck with this for a while, still cannot figure it out. I would really appreciate if anybody can help. Thanks 

Can I populate a table from a group of vectors? If so how?

i am trying to program ;this routine (that i picked up from another topic here, originally written in mathcad 15) to calculate the depth to the midpoint of each layer.  the results for z should be 4.5, 13.5, 22.5, 31.5, 40.5.   any assistance would be appreciated.  the file is in mathcad 4.0

i am sure the answer is obvious, but at the moment i am not seeing it.  how do add the "otherwise" statement or function?  i have read that you have to click on the function button and not just type the word.  but i do not seem to be able to find the required button.

I want to type in a formular in MathCAD just for demonstration, i don't want MathCAD to run or calculate it.   For example following equetions: it throw me error that variable is not defined.

Dear friends, I need a bit of help. I have a set of values "PFscan.csv". It contains 70 columns x 1800 rows. This values represent z, and should be connected with r and t data, acting as a x and y. To create a x,y,z set with same dimensions I've made a matrices M1 and M2 from r and t, both containing 70 columns x 1800 rows. The goal is to combine this three sets into one matrix, which will consecutively contain (x,y,z)i. Hence matrix M3. So the questions are: How can I export this as .csv or .txt while being able to maintain order; x1,y1,z1, x2,y2,z2, etc.? How can I plot multiple datasets into one 3D graph by using for loop? And to convert this large x,y,z set to polar plot? Thanks!

Let's say I have two columns in an Excel document containing variable names (column A) and their associated values (column B). Is it possible to import these into MathCAD without having to type out each variable name? I've tried to finagle the excel component to do what I want but it seems no matter what I try I end up having to type the variables out by hand. This gets cumbersome because I tend to work with a lot of variables that I'd love to have auto imported.

Hi,           I am trying to do solve a pde using method of characteristics. I am able to solve it. But I am not sure how to plot characteristic lines which are parallel in a certain z range. Also, characteristics should not cross the boundaries associated with constant flux (discontinuities). Kindly check plot 4 in the attached mathcad file and I want it to look like the pic pasted below it. Here z(t), z1(t) and zc(t) are the boundaries and z2(t), z3(t) and z4(t) are the characteristics. I think it may need some programming. Really appreciate the help.   Regards.
