Mathcad

Hey, I am from Germany and need some help. I am new with MathCad.   I want to calculate the insections of 2 cycles.   My Problems:   The plot of 2 variables in 1 diagram doesnt work. I tried it on the x-Axis with f(x,y) and on the y axis with x,y. No cycle is shown.   Then next problem is to subtract f(x,y) - g(x,y). Whats the Syntax? Can somebody tell me?   Is it possible to write a litte programm which calculates me the intersections or tell me the solution? My program: m11:=0m12:=0r1=8 m21:=7m22:=8r2:=3.25 f(x,y):=(x-m11)^2 + (y-m12)^2 - r1^2g(x,y):=(x-m21)^2 + (y-m22)^2 - r2^2 h(x,y):=f(x,y)-g(x,y) Thank you.   Greetings MM

Hello, We've been using MathCAD 15 for years and have many calc's made using Combo Boxes.  I recently upgraded my machine to Windows 10 and get errors when opening our programs.  We got a new computer for a new hire last year with Windows 10 and everything worked seamlessly.  I think I may have figured out the problem, but I have no idea how to solve it.  The ComboBox that we use is apparently the Microsoft Forms 2.0 ComboBox, it shows up as below on my co-workers MathCAD under the Insert Component.  However when I go to the same location the option for Microsoft Forms 2.0 ComboBox doesn't exist.  How do I load or install the Microsoft Forms 2.0 Objects?  I've searched online everywhere and can't find anything that works.   

This may seem like a silly question, but I can't figure out a simple keyboard shortcut. I searched online but to no avail. How do I select the math range that I my cursor is in?? Say I want to delete a math range. How can I do that without using the mouse. Say I want to move a math range around, how do I do that without the mouse?   This would help my flow in mathcad tremendously since I wouldn't need to pick up my mouse and make a selection box to help organize my work.   Thanks a ton for taking the time to answer my simple question!

Hello,   I have a data that contains the position of a particle as a function of time. When I apply the fourier transform I do not get any frequencies however through the time position graph and the position histogram, I can see that the particle has a position around which it oscillates. I also need to calculate the power spectral density (PSD) as a function of frequency. Has anyone ever worked with something like that? The original data is attached.   Thnak you.   Ulisses

I'd like to make a code which can make the empirical graph of dice when the dice is only "6" However, as you can see, the probability is not the same as theory.  Is there anybody telling me the mistake that I did?  The answer has to be '0.166666666...'   plz, help me  

Please help. For many years I used Mathcad 15 with embedded excel. Starting last week, when I open Mathcad file, the excel table loses all highlighted colors and borders, which were implemented in the original excel sheet. When I double click on the excel table, I can see all colors, but clicking outside the excel table makes all colors disappear. Could it be related to Microsoft office recent updates? I use excel 2010.

Hey guys,   Some of you know about my effort to reproduce an old work of my advisor, eventually, I decided to use Mathcad 15. Now, I'm having some issues in some parts of my work, apparently is with one variable called "εs" and I don't know how to solve it, I'm very new in mathcad. I'm putting in annex the work of my advisor and my file. Can anyone, in the name of everything that is sacred, help me?

Hi. I'm using Mathcad 15 and looking for a good guide or help how to plot vectors, spheres like this:

I tend to do a lot of partial differentiation in my analyses and how I currently do it is to hard code each partial to their own variable. This tends to clutter my analyses, since I deal with rather large multi-variable equations. I tried being slick today by defining a 1xn matrix (where n is the total number of variables and each element contains the variable names that I need to do partial derivatives on) and performing the partial derivatives on that matrix and vectorizing it. Mathcad doesn't flag an error, but what it's calculating isn't correct. I believe it's trying to do the differentiation on the value of the variable rather than seeing it as a variable by itself, because it always calculates the result as 0. Does anyone know how I can get mathcad to see these as variables or know I better way of going about this? I've attached an example of what I am attempting if it isn't clear in my writing. 

Hi,   I get a "No Solution is found" from the find() in this solve block in Mathcad prime.  Can someone please tell me where I'm going wrong?  (code attached)   I have noticed that if i put the initial guess in for 'h' as the answer then the solve works but this defeats the object somewhat.   Thanks in advance!

Hello,   I want to assign a number in "d" from "b" in the following way. Firstly, I will input any number in "c". Secondly, I want to acquire the index number from "a" such that the value of "a" matches with the value of "c". Thirdly, Then with that, I will assign a value from "b" to "d". I can do the first and third part but cannot do the second part. It will really be helpful if you please help me out.   Faisal

HiI have been plagued with a problem with Mathcad 15.0 (M030 [MC15_M030_20131216]) in which randomly I receive an error that says "Server busy.." When I click on "Switch to" it opens start menu. If I click on "Retry" it gives the same error.I have tried searching online/this forums but I couldn't find a solution. Does anyone have any remedy for this? If not then I have to regrettably move on (or back) to Mathcad Prime 3 ThanksOmkar.

Hi, I have used the polyfitc regression function to fit a polynomial to a set of data. The curve describes the deflection of a beam, and so must be zero at specific points, x (the supports). Unfortunately, the roots are slightly inaccurate. Is it possible to force the roots of the output of polynomial regression function?   Many thanks and kind regards

There is an utility that allows you to save Mathcad Prime files in older versions Mathcad. See the picture below and the instructions here

Good morning, I'm trying to create a mathcad code for analysis of RC sections but I'm getting this problem. It was supposed that the vector esk was 10e-5 in all elements, but some in some terms I'm getting 4x1 when was supposed to be 0, how can i solve it? My code is in annex if someone wants.

I believe the last time I tried converting a Mathcad 15 file to Prime was with Prime 3.0, and as I recall it was a dismal failure.  I use Mathcad to solve sets of simultaneous nonlinear equations, with lots of 2D and 3D plots to visualize the output. It is very easy in Mathcad 15, and I am concerned with PTC's inability to recreate Mathcad 15's plotting capabilities in Prime. I thought I had read something to the effect that PTC was not going to support Mathcad 15 after Windows 10.  Can anyone tell me if this is true?  If so, I may have to search for a new tool.

I am somewhat new to fitting data using Mathcad (15), so I apologise if this is a stupid question.   I have experimental data on the temperature dependence of the molar volume (Vm) and isochoric specific heat (Cv) of a compound.The former is related to the internal energy, the latter to the first derivative of the internal energy. If I use Debye-based models, then the Debye temperature is a common variable for both functions, the molar volume includes two additional variables. The number of data points for the two independent data sets is different. I can fit each function separately, but I wish to fit them simultaneousy to determine the best estimate of the Debye temperature.   Is there a simple way of carrying out multiple function fitting in Mathcad?   Many thanks   Kevin

Hello,   I am trying to make a program using Mathcad. My goal is to first finish calculation for a column of data, assign the outcome and then progress to the subsequent columns.
